Anybody Ever Practiced The Darker Side Of Nlp

Does Jesus have a dark side that Christians keep silent about, or are just too afraid to talk about?

Yes a dark side to Christians from a young age till when he appeared when he was 33 Jesus trekking to India to study the Vedas and Buddhism

The early followers of Jesus' teachings were made up of several groups. One such group was the Gnostics. They practiced laying on of hands and professed to have a secret knowledge that had been passed on to them by Jesus and his disciples. The Gnostics were made up of many smaller groups some of which were known as the Docetists, the Marcionites, and the Carpocratians.

When Christianity became organized after the second century, its teachings were centered around faith and the official teachings of the church, rather than healing or "good works" and inner guidance as practiced by the Gnostics. At this time, those promoting the organization of the church began subduing and banishing those Gnostics who would not conform to the authority of the newly developing Church. In addition they tried to destroy the Gnostic gospels. With the elimination of the Gnostics and the establishment of the Official Christian Church, the practice of laying on hands by lay Christians was strongly discouraged.

Jesus possessed great confidence in his ability and was able to heal in an instantaneous way with spectacular results. It is clear that he had perfected many skills and used them in conjunction to get the results he created. Clearly the Bible indicates that he did healing by laying on hands and also indicated that we could do the same. The teachings of Jesus, as well as the example he set are a great inspiration for us.

Getting rid of my fear of the dark and silence?

You've worked yourself into a clear state of paranoia. With your mind concentrating on the fear of things that go bump in the night, you mind will interpret every sound and shadow as being something evil. Perhaps this began when you were a child and was exposed to horror movies.

First thing to understand, unless you actually see ghosts etc... you are reacting to the unseen and unknown, let alone - proven. Air can not be seen or heard, but you do not fear that. Dark and silence is a void. You are desperate to fill it whether with light or heightened senses that misinterpret.

Since silence scares you because you are grasping for sounds, practice sleeping with either ear plugs or a sound conditioner to mask background noise. Concentrate on that instead. There is nothing childish or weak about this. I've used one for years since I am over sensitive to noise such as traffic, etc....

As far as the dark goes, buy yourself a sleeping mask. You lie awake trying to interpret what you see. If your eyes are cloaked, you see nothing. Thus there is noting to try to imagine.

Also try meditation. Concentrate on your breathing and relax one set of muscles at a time as you do. If these tips do not work for you, see a doctor about a mild anxiolytic. It will calm your nerves and help you fall to sleep.

Has anyone ever used martial arts in self-defense and called the police afterward against their attacker?

I have used force against an attacker who happened to be an angry teenager who kept hitting me in the solar plexus so I hit him in the throat and crotch and stopped him. Two cops actually witnessed the whole event (why they didn't intervene earlier I don't know) and they pulled us both to the side and chewed both of us out. Apparently, although it was self-defense, I responded with too much force and both of us could have been charged with battery. (That is strange I know) They let us both off with warnings although they did take our details down.
As for your question about calling police afterwards, I haven't done that and I wouldn't recommend it unless the guy had a knife, pole or gun or threatened your life. If you manage to stop the attacker, without going overkill, after he randomly threw a punch or something like that, then I would just walk away and forget about it. If you call the cops and wait for them there may be a risk that the attacker starts squealing and crying to them, saying you, out of the blue, attacked him and fake witnesses, possibly his friends, may show up and testify this. This may result in the defender going to jail as you described.

Question about jewish practices?

As a person who grew up in a Jewish Orthodox family and had religious study classes every day for my entire school career - let me assure you that the practice that you mention is a myth.

Although no one is certain people are sure that it started when people saw a pair of Tzitzit hanging on an orthodox Jews washing line or in the shops.

Tzitzit is a religious pair of clothing which is worn like a vest. It is basically just a rectangular piece of cloth with a hole cut out of the middle where you place your head through - hence the idea of a sheet with a hole for having sex through!

I hope this helps!

This was not actually criminal pickpocketing, but it’s a funny story. In Las Vegas, once a month there is a show called Vegas Wonderground. It’s a magic show where many of the audience are also magicians. This show is in a restaurant with a bar. I was at the bar and another woman (stranger to me) was next to me, and one of the magicians started doing some close-up magic for our entertainment. First he asked to see her ring. “Wow, that’s pretty big. It will be tough to make that disappear!”. Of course, a few seconds later the ring had disappeared. That is a common trick. And then, as usual they don’t make it reappear right away. We watched him do some more tricks, he was very good. After a while, he asked me to look in his inside jacket pocket. What do you see? A kind of wallet that closes with a zipper. Take it out, open it, what do you see? A sealed envelope. Okay, now open the envelope. As expected, there was her ring. And my wristwatch! He had gotten my watch off my wrist without my noticing! In retrospect, I think he had his girlfriend with him, and she got my watch off while he distracted us with other tricks. How he (or she) got it into the envelope I have no idea.I recommend this show, you can look it up at Wonderground .

Er… if we’re talking about the Legends version, I could go on and on. There’s Revan, Darth Nihilus, Bastila Shan, etc. Even though Legends Luke is pretty much the embodiment of the Light side of the Force, a lot of the Jedi and Sith that preceded him by centuries were just ridiculous in the amount of power they had. Now, if we’re talking the new canon, I doubt that there’s any contemporary of Grand Master Skywalker that stands a chance besides perhaps Supreme Leader Snoke. But if we’re talking about characters from all of the seven movies and the two TV shows, it’s a bit more debatable. When we last saw him properly in Episode VI, Skywalker was proficient at lightsaber combat, able to hold his own against Darth Vader. He was also practiced with the Force, and in the novelization of the film, he actually managed to deflect some of Palpatine’s lightning but was overwhelmed. In the thirty years since, he’s probably grown in power, but still limited by the loss of knowledge during the Empire’s reign.I’d put Luke Skywalker at the equivalent of a Jedi Master during the Old Republic, comparable to Obi-Wan Kenobi or Ki-Adi-Mundi. Among the Jedi, only Yoda and Mace Windu would likely be able to best Luke, the former by his centuries of experience, and the latter by his ferocity and proximity to the dark side. Darth Maul and Count Dooku would also both be formidable opponents because of their skills in lightsaber combat and the Dark Side, although I’m sure Luke could still beat them. Anakin Skywalker would also pose a severe threat, in part because of his great swordsmanship and in part because Luke would hesitate to fight his father. Darth Sidious would probably defeat Grand Master Skywalker, although with much more effort than he did in Episode VI.
