Anyone Been On Paroxetine Paxil

Does anyone know if you can get Paroxetine (Paxil) in Dubai? If so where can I get it? ?

u will get it in BINSINA pharmacy

Paroxetine (Seroxat, Paxil) and Accutane?

1. Paroxetine is a prescription drug to treat depression, panic disorders, and anxiety disorders.

2. Accutane is a drug taken to treat severe acne, BUT has been known to cause a secondary effect of depression (according to the accutane action group).

Does that make kidney problems?
All medications run through the kidney, so taking these two medications, along with additional daily supplements and meds will definitely cause long term risks for kidney problems.

Taking the 2 together...
If your ultimatel goal is to get rid of depression, then I would stick to the Paroxetine. However, if you take the two together, the accutane would cancel the other out, because of it's known secondary effect. There is a source on the precautions link that lists the drugs that should NOT be taken with Paroxetine.

Paroxetine?

I have been on Paroxetine for well over a month now. At first I took 10 mg every other day, then 10mg every day, and now 20mg every day. The thing is, lately I have been feeling "numb". Like nothing matters and I don't show much emotion..

Sometimes I feel sad or sad FOR someone for no apparent reason, when there seems to be nothing wrong. It was my birthday today and I didn't feel that excited or anything.. I was put on paroxetine for an anxiety disorder, not depression.. and the thoughts that caused my anxiety are still there but not as strong.. however I do feel the unreality kind of often, but its like I just don't care about it anymore. Not in a good way, too.

I also notice an odd scent every once in a while that other people don't smell. It comes and goes in different places.. and that got me worried about having a brain tumor or something. I do notice my vision is kind of weird after starting the medication.

Anyone have any advice or anything to help me out? Thanks a lot.

Ran out of Paxil (Paroxetine) feeling strange?

ive been on paxil 20mg for 3 months then 30mg for another 3 months, i noticed i was low so 2 days prior i had to break a 30mg in half and now im out until tommorow afternoon and im just feeling extremely anxious and worried. i just dont know what to do. i feel flu like symptoms. is this going to get any worse? will everything be back to normal after i get my refill?

Is Paxil (paroxetine) anticholinergic?

While the drug is classified as an SSRI (selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor) anti-depressant, and is recognized for its high (and nearly exclusive) affinity for SERT (serotonin transporters), it does, in fact, have anti-cholinergic *properties* to it (though, that is not to say that it has a direct effect on acetylcholine). In fact, it has the most anti-cholinergic effect of all of the drugs in the strict "SSRI" class. This would exclude some non-SSRI anti-depressants such as Effexor (venlafaxine), which is not a pure SSRI, but is actually an SNRI; it inhibits re-uptake of both serotonin and norepinephrine. This property (anti-cholinergic effect) is being looked at as one of the possible contributing reasons as to why Paxil (paroxetine) is largely considered to have the worst withdrawal symptoms of any of the SSRI's (or most intense "discontinuation syndrome" if you're in the industry and prefer to use rhetoric and euphemism to obfuscate the truth). That last part is clearly opinion. I just feel that the nice sounding "discontinuation syndrome" was a carefully chosen phrase, and was certainly no accident. To most, the P.C. term sounds less "druggy" than "withdrawal", which may conjure up thoughts of heroin addicts going without their "dope". To me, it conjures thoughts of people physically dependent on Paxil going without their "dope". It's all perspective. (Note: I am, by no means, mocking or insulting anyone on Paxil; if anything, I am defending them. I have been on it, myself, for a decade and some years... long before generics were even available; and I've been through "discontinuation syndrome" enough times to know it is, indeed, "drug withdrawal".)But yes, there's your answer with a little extra. :) Anything more specific you'd like to know?

Does anyone take Paxil, paroxotene for depression/anxiety? Do you have eye problems?

I've been prescribed Paxil for over 20 years now. Paxil has certainly never caused any eye problems for me but different people react differently to any type of medication & especially antidepressants. Have you talked to your doctor or pharmacist about this possible side effect? Hope you feel better soon.

I just took 120mg of Paxil (paroxetine), will I die or anything?

I'm taking Paxil for depression and social anxiety. I've been taking it for the last 3 months and my prescribed dosage is 60mg (I'm 6'0, 320lbs). I took 120mg just a few mins ago because I'm really depressed right now and i'm curious what happens. I'm hoping it just makes me immune all feelings and everything, but should I worry about anything permanent or even death?
