Filipinos are starting to hate Americans, is colonial mentality vanishing?
As technology advances and media is finally starting to divulge more into the Philippine history and ‘what actually happened’ during the centuries of colonization, Filipinos are starting to become more aware and educated. We are not necessarily hating on Americans, I think that we are starting to want to know and embrace our own culture. Because of the centuries of Spanish colonization and Americans ‘saving us’, Filipinos in the past were dependent on the US not only politically but also socially and culturally.Imagine being so buried deep in centuries worth of Western influence and even though you seem to know yourself, there's just something missing. Imagine your identity being erased or mistaken as a Latino or a Pacific Islander or a ‘little brown American’.The youth today are more informed and genuinely want to bring back more of the Filipino culture. We don't hate Americans, we just want to be our own person, per se.But from a more personal standpoint, I don't trust white ppl and how they repeatedly erase cultures or claim it as theirs. Also don't like how some whites think they're the superior race when their skin is toasted after 5 mins in the sun☕☕☕☕☕
Anyone else hate Lil Wayne?
Oh my gosh i cant stand him,but one of my brothers is like obsessed with him so i am always hearing his music whenever around him. He honestly is one of the worst rappers ever,he talks about women in a rude manner and is always saying the "n" word which i hate, personally I find the "n" word offensive as a african american because that word has so much baggage with it from the past and it's people like him that are making it ok to say that word when it isnt.I agree with you that he sets a stereotype to make us african americans look bad,it's just sad. Half the time in his songs it sounds like all he is doing is mumbling!

You hate Americans, Americans will hate Africans, Africans will hate Chinese, Chinese will hate Japanese, Japanese will hate Australia's, Australia's will hate British, British will hate Indians and Indians will hate Pakistani…And we all will sit in social media and talk globalization, world peace, humanity, blah, blah blah, blah…I always mention Stop Reading / Watching NEWS. They corrupt your thinking abilities. They make you to think like they want you to think.When I am not an American or born and brought up there, How will I know about that Land's people / mentality / custom / sentiments.Keeping like you are an Indian,Two Question's :Do you love your nation / people / politics / … ?What is your neighbor's name / profession who stays in seventh house in your own street ?Jealousy is the root cause for all hatred.By eradicating this, you can change your mindset.Let's hate hatred.

I don’t hate Americans. I find many of them to be personable at a personal level. However I am becoming increasingly concerned at many of their country’s policies. It is not just Trump. It is things like having voting on a weekday instead of Saturday so that everyone gets a chance to vote. It’s having a sizable chunk of the population unable to access medical care or going bankrupt by doing it. It is having such an expensive education system. It is having violent and semi-trained police forces. It’s putting money before people’s well being at every turn.There are many developed countries which pursue sensible policies to benefit their populations. Too many Americans seem to know little about them. I am not saying they are obliged to copy them. Just travel a bit, take the blinkers off instead of assuming that the way America does things is the best in the world. Watch Jeff Daniels discourse on America.Finally, don’t roll out the excuse that a lot of people didn’t vote for Trump. What you mean is that a lot of people could not be bothered voting. That does not provide an excuse.As for me, I may go back to America again at some point. But it won’t be happening while the country is in it’s current state with its current leader.
Why do Americans hate Spanish?
You are misinformed. The Spanish language is not "the most hated one" in the US. On the contrary, nearly 60% of university students studying foreign languages choose to study Spanish. They are not going to choose a language they hate. French and German lag far behind. No parks prohibit the speaking of Spanish. That would be illegal. Soon-to-be-ex-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's comment, although pedagogically inaccurate and politically indefensible, is irrelevant to your point because he is talking about Latinos, and Latino immigrants do not hate their own language. As for Newt Gingrich's comment, you have misquoted him. In 2007 he said, "We should replace bilingual education with immersion in English so people learn the common language of the country and they learn the language of prosperity, not the language of living in a ghetto." Of course, you must keep in mind that he was pandering to a bigoted audience, the National Federation of Republican Women. But that does not excuse the irresponsibility of his unjustifiable attack. He was also deliberately ignoring the well-documented fact that children learn English better in bilingual education than they do in immersion ("sink or swim") programs. If some people do hate the speakers of Spanish, it is probably due to callous politicians and idiotic judges exploiting racism and using it as a wedge issue.
Do you hate American Idol sob stories?
I hate when on American Idol auditions week there are so many sob stories. Okay, I understand the ones involving recent deaths of contestant's loved ones, but it's annoying when they say "I quit my high paying job, sold my home and almost killed a traffic policeman just to come here and sing today." (And usually those people don't do so well). Do you like or dislike them? What was one that you remember?
Anyone else hate inspirational sports movies?
Yes! I just watched We Are Marshall and it was horrible, cliche, etc. It had a more interesting spin at first, but they forced it into the typical sports movie formula and killed any hope of being decent. I like a good sports movie, just like I can enjoy a good movie in any other genre, but more often than not the sports movies are formulaic and boring.
Are the United States of America’s allies beginning to hate us because of Trump?
Yes. To maintain friendship with allies you need good diplomacy. For a good diplomacy you need to communicate well. Talking makes things better either via phone or face-to-face. But clearly talking ruins things for this American President.Trump has nothing profound coming out of his mouth. Neither would the National Archive study and elevate his speeches parallel with Lincoln’s Gettysburg speech nor JFK's inauguration speech. Trump is always agitated and critical on various issues. His responds most of the time make no sense.Canadian Premier J. Trudeau declared that the Canadian people are nice but not be pushed around. Trump pulled the US out from Paris Accord made the French President to give a speech in English. No one speaks English in France. This meant that the speech was addressed to Mr. Trump.Then Trump made diplomacy tense with Germany, Britain, and now Iran (Any countries i missed?) How great can a communication be when an elected leader use twitter as a platform to be critical? Then attempt to threaten other countries’ sovereignty and leadership?(I'm walking while typing on Quora with one hand, it is raining here in Kuala Lumpur. The other is holding an umbrella!)
