Anyone Ever Tie A Long Rubber Band To Two Different Male Guinea Pigs Feet

Inexpensive Toys For 3 Degus? Homemade Toys?

Degus don't play with toys, really. They chew, climb, and jump.

Hammocks are wonderful. You can make them out of old jeans, shirts, sweaters, blankets, etc. Degus just love them to pieces. My four boys are always in theirs except when they want to get food or in the wheel.

You need to be extra careful with plastics. They chew everything up and whatever plastic object that will be in the cage won't last long.

Cardboard boxes that once held food. My degus tear them up and store stuff in them and toss them around. They like to play hide-n-seek with each other. xD But be sure to tear off the parts that have glue on them (that closed the box after it left the factory).

Toilet paper/paper towel rolls are also ok, but you should cut a slit through it so they can't get their head stuck. Last year one of my girls got her head stuck in one, and I mean wedged! She was squeeking like crazy and while it took me a while to get her out, she was fine afterwards.

Do not give degus rawhides. They are vegetarian (vegan, if you will) and that should not be anywhere near a degu.

Pesticide/chemical/paint-free, organic branches. Apple, hawthorn, -KILN-DRIED- pine, or hazelnut. Degus love them. And that should be the only wood you give them to chew.

Thick rope toys made from untreated cotton or sisal. And any toy made of natural corn or sisal. Degus LOVE them!

Also if you check over at the Degu forum at Paw-Talk, you'll find a few lists of toys people use for their goos.

I'm a guy, and when my hair is dry without any gel or anything I comb it back but it doesn't go back at all. It puffs up. I want my hair to go back and be flat and stay back. Are there any home remedies?

The reason your hair stands up is because of the grain of your hair. Hair grows in one direction and has a grain, much like wood. When you brush your hair back you are brushing against the grain. The hair will stand up, but it won't want to lie down in the opposite direction of growth. To get immediate results you need to use product to weigh the hair down. Gel, wax, pomade and hair spray will all work for this purpose. To get results without using product you need to train the hair the lie in another direction. You can do this by blow drying the hair in the direction you want it to lie, then wearing a headband to keep it in place. Over time the hair will be trained to stay that way. This is easier to do when you are just changing the direction or placement of a part with longer hair, a lot harder to do with a whole head of shorter hair. It will take a long time, and you may still look a little puffy.I think you would be more successful using hair wax to weigh the hair down. It's made of natural wax, no synthetic additives and does not dry out the hair.
