Anyone Ever Worked Or Know Someone Who Has Worked As A Deli/bakery Clerk At Harris Teeter

Has anyone worked for Harris Teeter? Do you konw the rate of pay for like produce or grocery clerk?

I have never worked for Harris Teeter but the rate of pay in Pa. for grocery clerks is about 7 to 8 dollars per hour, but if you get in the union it is higher. Hope this helps.

So I was all excited to have a job interview at my local grocery store. Initially I thought the interview was for a Cashier position, but it turned out to be for the Deli department. Almost the entire interview both the general manager and deli manager seemed as though they were trying to talk me out of it saying that it was all about pleasing the customer and that it's very hard work and there's a lot to learn. I pretty much got the job, however, just waiting for a background check to come through. I was wondering if anyone else had a job working in a deli, even if not at Harris Teeter, and wanted to know what it was like. They kind of gave me funny looks, being that I'm a 19 year old female as if indrectly asking me "Why the heck do you want to work in a deli?"

I wouldn't mind the job at all. I just want to feel comfortable and confident.

Oh my gosh i used to work at harris teeter (cashier) i LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUVED it! best job ever! you will luv it! They ask the normal questions like what do you do if a customer starts to get mad. Who do you call for help. What are your interests. What would you do if you knew a fellow employee is stealing. normal stuff. i LUVED working at Harris Teeter! its like a great big family there. everyone is just aussome there. i miss it :(
OH! and smile! they LUV when you have a good attitude are in great spirits and smile constantly! thats what got me the job. My smile :D

HARRIS TEETER DRUG TEST?

i took a drug test last wednesday for a harris teeter cashier position and i still havent recieved a call back!! does anyone who has worked at harris teeter or any other place similar to that that used a mouth swab test know how long it taked to recieve results?? i was thinking about going in today and asking... btw im clean

If you are going to be working in the store, visit your local Harris Teeter and look at what other employees in the store are wearing. You want to dress to fit in with the atmosphere of the job. My guess is they are wearing a smock provided by work and casual slacks. So, wear clean neat slacks and a casual shirt or sweater, depending on the weather. Wear very little jewelry and no cologne. A grocery store is not a dress-up, suit & tie kind of place, unless you are going to work for their corporate office, that is.

Can employer know if you worked for them previously?

Ok so i used to work at harris teeter. i got fired a few years ago for something really stupid. I didn't bother to quit so i just stopped showing up. but i need a job right now and i'm thinking about applying to ht again. the thing is, will they know if i have worked for them previously? cuz obviously if i was fired from them i can't be rehired again. i ask because i was able to get jobs even though i was fired from a different company. so will harris teeter be able to check if i worked for them before and was fired as well?
