Target, xbox one reservation card?
okay, so a few weeks back I got a xbox one reservation card at target. I talked to the people in the electronics department and honestly they seemed to have no clue what they were talking about. All they really told me was with buying the reservation card is they would hold an xbox one console at the store for me when it was released. the card says the release date was Nov. 2013, didn't have the day of the month just November, it comes out on the 22nd if I'm not mistaken, just was wondering if anyone knew when exactly target would be getting them. also if anyone knew how many they would be getting. I'm getting a bit worried that there's not very much information that i could find online about them. and I'm really hoping that they aren't selling more reservation cards than the amount of consoles they;re gonna have and have me be screwed out of getting one. Idk, if anyone on here has some information on how target is doing the preorders on the xbox one it would be helpful. thanks in advance
What are you expecting with the next-gen PlayStation/Xbox?
Well based on leaks, around May we are mean’t to expect “Xbox, Code name: Maverick” and it is meant to be a pre-order for an Xbox with NO DISK TRAY and all games would be download from the Xbox Store so it’d probably have a bigger hard drive if anything. Also for sometime late next year they’ve got “Xbox: Code name Scarlett, Anaconda, Lockhart” Xbox Scarlett considered to be the base console with Anaconda and Lockhart being 2 different version, kind of like the PS4 pro and slim.The next Playstation (Presumably PS5) has really no leaks, all that has been heard is that some Dev’s have been given test/beta consoles to help them make games for it, beyond that, it’s unknown. The next xbox is expected to be £500 where as the next playstation could be £300-£400. Xbox more cares for money over quality and reputation.
How are games developed on current consoles like the Playstation 4 and Xbox One?
Pretty much the same as years ago. You get sent a special version of the console hardware which is a ‘development unit’, which is close to, maybe a slightly higher revision, what you’re using right now.You compile your game in whatever engine you’re using, using the development tools to send it to beta testers, who tell you why you’re a dumb idiot who missed a paren somewhere, which means people are falling through the floor.The difference between the past and the present is that Unreal, Unity and the other major engines can be downloaded, often for free, and any person with a powerful enough rig can become a development studio.So, really, if you have some knowledge of coding, and some friends who can figure out the rest, call them. They might be interested.
AC origins or COD WW2 for pc or Xbox one?
While I would always suggest buying games on PC over console, since on PC you can have better graphics, higher fps, more input devices, and mods and cheaper games and no online fees, those 2 games in particular maybe not so much. CoD WW2 does not have much adoption on PC. I think someone mentioned on day 1 of release, there were only 12K players online. I think its mainly due to the fact the PC community has so many good games to choose from, and CoD is a lower-tier quality game, and this most recent installment is not even a great cod game in general, that no one is buying it on PC. Whereas console, there are hardly any games to choose from, so cod is considered a top-tier game by the community, and thus tons of people buy and play it. AC origins, at least on pc, has major performance issues. This is because how they implemented the DRM incorrectly. Basically, every single time you move your character, it has to check online and make sure your game is not stolen. As you can imagine, doing that LITERALLY EVERY STEP you take, uses a LOT of cpu power. They did make an announcement saying this will be patched in the near future, but as it stands now, I don't recommend the pc version unless you have a newer model i5/i7 (like the 6000-8000 series at the bare minimum).
A PS3 or an Xbox 360? Decision time.?
PS3 !!! 1. BlueRay - Most movie producing companies are getting out of the HD-DVD formats (anyone remember BETA max). 2. Do not need a $175 add on to watch movies. 3. Does not over heat. 3 red lights what is that??? Yes the PSN is pretty basic, but it's free !!! The XBOX 360 does have more titles (for children), but it also has the advantage of being out 1 extra year. Buy the 80 Gb forget about the 40 it is not compatable with PS1 and PS2 titles. The games of the year will be Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Unreal Tournament 3, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. EDIT: I also must add CRYSIS has plans for the PS3 .... sorry nothing for the Xbox
Can you play destiny on the xbox 360 arcade?
Actually, you could play the beta on an Arcade model, just like the full game. But you will have to add an Xbox 360 hard drive to the system. The game isn't actually restricted to only working on some models of the systems, it's just that those models don't come with a hard drive standard, but any system without a hard drive would have the same problem, not just ones like the Arcade. PS4 started an open beta for cross platform on fortnite with other consoles like Xbox. How is this gonna effect the future of cross platform?

At this point, we simply have to wait and see whether this is simply Sony bowing to gamer pressure and spinning it as a positive PR maneuver or if Sony genuinely intends to support crossplay as a standard across its platform.I’d say that Sony is in a wait-and-see mode with Fortnite. If it turns out okay and doesn’t end up a support nightmare, thus costing Sony money to support something they don’t even control, then Sony might consider allowing future games to crossplay.However, knowing Sony’s predilection for all things Sony, I’m more inclined to believe this is a one-off PR stunt implemented solely to placate the Fortnite gamers.
How likely is it that Minecraft on the Xbox One will get Mods?
not very because minecraft does not like when people use mods in the game it “ruin’s” the original meaning of the game and the “story and meaning of minecraft” it sounds stupid to a hell lot more people than i would have thought but its true the very meaning of minecraft is what it is before you add mods and thats not to troll and defiantly which i may assume that the creator of minecraft would not like if people mod because the updates with the mob spawner and the phantom and where you can create the wither and iron golem’s are quite from mods i assume that they were originally from. with that being said no no they will not add mods to the minecraft no matter the gaming platform weather its the xbox one or if its the ps3 or ps4 NO THEY WILL NOT ADD MODS LIKELY.
