What is your favorite doomsday movie?

Seeking a Friend to the End of the World (2012).I saw this film with my boyfriend Chris during a time when I recall we were having some difficulties. We sank into this film and as it unfolded, the two of us began to sit closer in the theater. With a leading man such as Steve Carell, I expected a comedy and about 1/3 through the film I realized that this film was definitely not a comedy. It was zany, strange, and took you on a ride like an attraction in a really good theme park. It was hard to guess where the film was going, and although the premise was that the end of world was coming, it was hard to believe somehow... you know, that it would really end. What would you do if you knew all of our days were numbered? Would you go to work? Would you take drugs?  Would you strive to find past loved ones? Would you go to the end of the world to say "I love you"? Steve Carell and Keira Knightly are neighbors who connect through the harrowing escape of their lives as the world goes mad, they become escape partners. Both seek love in different places but find love between themselves. As the world nears to a close, they eventually forfeit their respective journeys and choose each other. It's fresh. It's new and it's very deep. Through facing our ends, we find out what really matters. As Chris and I watched the last scene of the film (yes, the world really does end), we walked out of the theater stunned, and sobered by the power of finality. That night we slept a little closer and whatever static had been there, disappeared. I still can't recall what we were fighting about.

Is doomsday a good movie?

The problem I have after seeing the commercial too many times is that the basic plot looks too much like "Escape From New York" crossed with "Mad Max" with a female lead character.

See this at your own risk, or just go rent both of the movies listed above instead for half what Doomsday will cost to see in the theater.

What if animated Doomsday from the 2018 movie was in the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super?

He would be disqualified… As he would instantly kill the person closest to him… He doesn’t know right or wrong, good or bad… He’s a killing machine… You can’t kill him the same way twice…Zeno would have to erase him or someone will have to seal him to contain him somewhere he cannot escape (pocket dimension, Mafuba)If left unchecked, he might end up kill everyone except the angels or GoDs…Goku, Vegeta, Toppo, Jiren And others would give him a good fight… But Doomsday is very tactical and strategic when fighting someone without even realising it…You can say that in a way, Doomsday has Ultra Instinct as he doesn’t really think of how to attack… but he can’t really dodge that well- but his insane durability and insta-heal make up for that…His spikes can pierce pretty much any character from the ToP… Doomsday is called that for a reason… Provsblh the only villain in DC to actually “kill” superman in combat… He’s a beast like no other and has no endgame… He just kills and kills…

What are some good movies like 28 days later and the astronaut's wife?

I'm completely TERRIFIED of scary movies. I can't watch exorcism movies or any ghost things. I'm just looking for some good movies with small thrill in them like these two. I don't just want zombie movie suggestions though, I'd like some other kind of out there movies like the astronaut's wife. And preferably movies with good actors too. I LOVE CILLIAN MURPHY AND JOHNNY DEPP IN THOSE TWO MOVIES. That's part of the reason I like them so much. So no foreign movies with people I've never heard of. I know, I'm picky about my movies, but thank you so much if you can help! :)

Are the other planet of the apes movies any good and is the story tied to the new one that just came out?

everyone agrees the 60s version of Planet of the Apes is great and worth watching. unfortunately, the killer ending is kindof spoiled if you know anything about the new movie or the sequels. still worth watching though.10/10

Beneath the Planet of the Apes--not very good at all. another astronaut tries to track down the crew from the original movie and finds a few intelligent humans worshipping a doomsday machine. big let down from the original. 5/10

Escape from the Planet of the Apes--two apes from the original movie managed to escape the doomsday machine by traveling back in time. humans are at first interested and later terrified by their version of the future, and they have to run away. not bad and funny in places. 7/10

Conquest of the Planet of the Apes--this is the movie the new movie is sort of based on. The child of the cornelius and zira has been hiding as an ordinary ape and leads a rebellion against the humans. it's the second best of the series and that's why this is the one they remade. they cut out the apes background and just went with genetic engineering which makes sense. 8/10

Battle for the Planet of the Apes--not horrible, but not memorable or necessary. 6/10

Tim Burton remake--horrible, nonsensical. I've heard the new movie isn't a prequel to this one. it's a prequel to the original 2/10

Looking for the name of a black and white doomsday movie?

I saw parts of this movie long ago. It looked like it could have been from the late 50's but probably the 60's. all I remember was that something happened and everyone went into bunkers, but everyone came out too early and died except for a white woman and a black man (I think he was trapped in the sewer or somewhere underground not in a bunker). Anyways they start to like each other even though that was taboo back then and everything is going well until they hear another guy on the radio and he is a white guy, so the black guy gets upset because he thinks he is going to loose his new girlfriend. And that's all I remember I think I fell asleep or something. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated because i have looked all over the inter webs and can't come up with it.
