Anyone Know The Best Applet For Calculus

CALCULUS HELP PLEASE!!!?

Consider the points below.
P(-1, 2, 2), Q(2, 3, 4), R(3, 2, 0)

(a) Find a nonzero vector orthogonal to the plane through the points P, Q, and R.

(b) Find the area of triangle PQR

At what point on the curve x = t3, y = 12t, z = t4 is the normal plane parallel to the plane 6x + 24y - 8z = 5.

Consider the vector function given below.
<8*sqrt(2t), e^(- 8 t), e^( 8 t)>
Do the following.
(a) Find the unit tangent and unit normal vectors T(t) and N(t).
(b) Find the curvature.

please, i just need at least one of these answered. I can;t get them, Please help!

Calculus Optimization Problem?

A Norman window has the shape of a rectangle surmounted by a semicircle. (Thus the diameter of the semicircle is equal to the width of the rectangle. See the figure below.) If the perimeter of the window is 8 ft, find the value of x so that the greatest possible amount of light is admitted.

Thanks Guys!!

Calculus, volume and maximium - please help!!!!!!!!!!!?

A) Formula for the surface area of a rectangular prism is 2HL + 2WH + 2LW, which is 2(2x)(x) + 2(x)(y) + 2(y)(2x) in your case.

Your goal is to try and solve for y because the volume you have to prove is only in terms of x, so
4x^2 + 2xy + 4xy = 600
4x^2 + 6xy = 600
2(2x^2 + 3xy) = 600
2x^2 + 3xy = 300
3xy = 300 - 2x^2
y = (300 - 2x^2)/(3x)

Volume = HWL, which is 2x * x * y
Remember you just solved for y.
V = (2x)(x)[(300-2x^2)/(3x)]
V = (2x^2)[(300 - 2x^2)/(3x)]
V = (4x)(150 - x^2)/3
V = (600x - 4x^3)/3
V = 200x - 4x^3/3

B) To find the Maximum/Minimum, you have to set the derivative to 0. This is because all lines with relative max/mins have a slope of 0 at its max/min.

V = 200x - 4x^3/3
dV/dx = 200 - 4x^2
Set dV/dx to 0 now.

0 = 200 - 4x^2
4(50 - x^2) = 0
x = {0, sqrt(50), -sqrt(50)}
Use sqrt(50) because the side can't be 0 or negative.

V = HWL
V = (2x)(x)(y)
Remember y = (300 - 2x^2)/(3x)
V = (2x)(x)(300 - 2x^2)/(3x)
Plug in sqrt(50) for all x into your calculator, and it should spit out 94281 cm^3

C) Look up at the work shown in (B) - especially the first sentence. You could do a second derivative test to show that x = sqrt(50) is a maximum too.

dV/dx = 200 - 4x^2
dV"/d"x = -8x
Plug in sqrt(50) for x and get -8(sqrt(50)), which is obviously negative. This means that at x = sqrt(50), the graph is concave down, which means that the point is maximum rather than minimum.

I want to make games with Java. Do I really need to learn applets, swing and java beans?

The basic skills that you need to develop a game includesa solid and complete knowledge of the programming language of your choice, and experience with some Maths concepts like trigonometry, set theory, matrix and vector maths, and some knowledge about graphics API, it can be OpenGL or D3DX11 and some networking and Database experience.

What is the best app for taking math notes?

This is the best app ever, which every top 10 students use !This app work only on your data. It works when you go to classes and take all those important things which are delivered by your teacher and note these things on your copy. and after all app comes in the hard form. And simple self made app and for notes, no other can be the best app. :)So buddy don’t waste your time in searching these types of things, because a lot of students are working on their’s app. and some of those, already have made it. and keep this thing in your mind, (which is said by Sachin Tendulkar ) - “There is no short path of success.”Happy Learning! and Don’t waste your time in these type of apps. Because a bright future is waiting for you.

How can someone practice calculus in Microsoft Excel?

You can use Excel  (I use Google drive spreadsheets) for a few iterative computations common in AP calculus -- most notably Euler's method, Riemann sums (also trapezoid method, simpson's rule, etc),  Newton's method.  I think this can be a useful exercise for students -- while there are applets out there that do all the work for you, this requires you to go through the details of setting up the computation yourself -- which can be fun for students, they seem to like clicking on cells and dragging them. Once the cells are set up, you can change the parameters easily and see the effect on the result without having to redo tedious computation.

What are some important apps, that everyone should have in their phones?

These are some applications which are on the top of my mind:Quora - Obviously,if you haven’t already installed it.TED - Videos on Technology, Entertainment, Design, and a lot more. why is it so great? The app lets you choose the genre you want to watch and the time you have.Duolingo - If want to learn new languages, there isn’t a better application than this one.Pandora - Let Pandora take care of your love for the music.Headspace - For 10 days free guided meditation and mindfulness. Great way to start meditation.Meetup - Meet new people - Explore, teach and learn or do what interests you.Android users: Quora, TED, Duolingo, Pandora, Headspace, Meetup

Quick Algebra questions ?

7. Using complete sentences, explain the limitations on the base of an exponential function.

8. Using complete sentences, explain how the graphs of exponential functions are different from the other functions you’ve studied (e.g., linear, quadratic, cubic, rational, etc.)

Ill pick best awnser , thanks !

What is the best to choose for a Math undergrad?Maple,Wolfram, Matlab, or mathHandbook ?

As Abdul Basit Ahmad already mentioned, Matlab isn't terribly useful for a mathematician. It's a numerical tool only. You should go for a tool capable of symbolic manipulation.I think Maple is easier to learn and more accessible than Wolfram, but they're roughly equivalent. Another good choice, which is free and open source, is Sage Mathematics: Sage Mathematical Software System - Sage
