I played Torn for a while but ultimately it had nothing on Avalon (The First Online RPG | Avalon | Text Based Games). I personally prefer immersion and more detailed PVP combat and Avalon has this in droves. Oh and warfare. Blow things up and destroy cities. Yes.

The same playground I used to play at as child is now fenced and torn down because it's a notorious spot for violent crime and selling drugs. The McDonald's my mom took me to most days after pre-school is now only open during daylight hours and covered in steel bars and bullet proof glass. My heart tears every time I pass that playground.
