Unless you were actually making a band purely created for writing songs about being attracted to the same sex and homosexual experiences, then it wouldn't be gay. From what you have provided, I assume you could substitute in the word 'lame', perhaps. But all in seriousness now, if you think your friends will find it stupid that you want to start a 'boy band', try and make it sound as intriguing as possible. You could just say band instead of boy band, and I'm sure if you mention the ways that you think it'll be fun then they might be on board. Just be sure to highlight the pluses I guess!

How do i form a band at guitar center?

I honestly think there might be a bigger chance of a white-american girl making in Korea than Japan. I don't see a lot of foreign artists in Japan, while in Korea I see more non-Koreans debuting. You should know that it is really hard to train. Out of hundreds of trainees, usually only a few make it. So you have to work super, duper hard, and it will also probably mean that you won't be able to see your family very much, if at all, since you will be living in Korea (unless they move with you). You should take vocal lessons or dance lessons, depending on what you're auditioning for, in order to improve in places where you can. Co-Ed groups aren't bad, I actually think there should be more Co-Ed groups in K-Pop, but you know, whichever label you might join, they'll probably choose your group for you and more than likely, it'll be an all-female since you're a girl.

Well I do have friends, but none of them are into music like I am, and I feel like I have to wait until I go to college next year to find peple with the same interests as me. My inspiration is bands like the beatles, rolling stones, aerosmith, ad/dc, the who. You get my point, thing is I don't go to college until next september, so it's a long wait and nothing will happen. Should I just use my time now to prepare, then find people who are interested in college? I live in the UK, and I know nobody who is as interested in this as me =/

There very well may be. Try to connect with Pune musicians via Facebook groups. They may be able to help you better. Another alternative is, why don't you set up your own band? Instead of looking for an already existing band without a lead singer, seek musicians looking to form a band... that's the way its supposed to be in the first place. The advantages of the 2nd approach are, You will be more in control of the direction of music the band decides to play i.e. more artistic freedom, thus being the "LEAD" singer in the truest sense of the word. Joining an already existing band means you have to adjust your tastes to that of the band which isn't always the ideal situation. You get to choose your band mates. You are at the liberty of accepting those individuals into your band who you vibe with! That's very important. Probability of you putting together a half decent band on your own is higher than you looking for a band seeking a vocalist. You get to name your own band!!!
