Anyway To Get Over A Gross Food You Ate

How to get over a GROSS dream?

this dream you had seems a bit odd, truly, but I also have dreams like this from time to time. It may have been because you watched a scary movie, or ate bad food. I remember when I first watched "Silence of the Lambs," I had very weird dreams similar to this one. If you did not watch any weird movies or eat any bad food, I am not sure what it could be. Also, I have had weird dreams without these incidents as well, and all I did was talk to the people in the dream about it. In one of my dreams, my friend died of smoking, and she has never/will never smoke, i talked to her about it and she made me feel a lot better. I truly hoped this helped.

How did you get out of eating something gross?

So, I was visiting family in India, and one day, they had great news. A specialty fish that’s almost never available in winter, was available! Eating it was an event, and they were so happy to share it with us.Well, my dad’s Indian, but my mom’s American and my brothers and I grew up in Colorado, far away from any real seafood culture, and we had no idea what to expect from this.“What’s bombay ducks?” We asked my Dad. “Well, it’s kind of like a jellyfish.”Jellyfish.No.Please no.I had all night to think about the fact that I was going to have jellyfish the next day, and from everything I could figure, there was no way to get out of it. This was something they were sharing with us out of love, pride, and just genuine caring. No way could I reject this.As I walked down the stairs that day, I felt it. Everything would be different after this lunch. I am about to make a meal - and pretend to enjoy it - of jellyfish.I get down, and it’s not jellyfish at all. It is a very soft shark-type fish. My dad hadn’t known what to describe it as, so he was evidently just going by the texture. I think he was also joking with us, he had to have been. It wasn’t bad at all. Like, at all!Something did change that day, though. Every time I was faced with something gross, the thought popped into my head, “I can do this, I prepared to eat jellyfish. And I got out of it.”So, now I’ve eaten plenty of foods I would have once counted gross. Haggis? Tasty. Shellfish, cool. I don’t know, something about mentally preparing for something that deeply revolting, and I realized I could do it. Then being able to get out of it - well I was so thankful. I could eat anything gross and it would be a step up, I’d come out ahead.

How do I get rid of the greasy feeling after fatty or oily food?

Hello! My mom is a naturopathist and I asked her for some easy remedies to get rid of such feeling. Here are three suggestions:After having a fatty or oily meal, wait for half an hour and mix the juice of half lemon and two big pinches of sendha namak (upwas ka namak) warm water (warmer than lukewarm) and drink it.For instant relief, take one or two pods of cardamom and eat it with rock sugar crystals (candy sugar or khadi shakkar in hindi).Eat sounff (it is probably called as aniseed in english) and carom (ajwain) together.I hope this helps you.I will add more remedies if i get.Cheers!

Gross question...how do u get rid of egg burps?

Can you get sick from eating food that was sneezed on?

As per Mythbusters -- sneezes release far-reaching projectiles, and while the bulk of it is directional, I'd say there's a decent chance that something might have made it to your sandwich.

I wouldn't care about getting sick, but I wouldn't have been able to eat there, at all, had I watched the person preparing my food sneeze anywhere near the food while he / she was doing it. Forget about requesting a new sandwich -- I would have went somewhere else to eat.

I don't think that you're being paranoid, but as far as getting sick from it, that would only happen if the preparer was sick and not sneezing for some other reason.

I feel really disgusting after eating fast food?

for the last few months i have made a real effort with my healthy eating and exercise. i've been aiming for weight loss, so my diet has been pretty much lean meats, whole grains, fruit and veg... the standard 'healthy diet' for weight loss.
anyway, i was out with mates just before and we decided to grab KFC for dinner. i should have just not eaten, but i was hungry and i haven't eaten fast food in a long time, so i figured one meal wouldn't hurt.

however i feel DISGUSTING! i literally contemplated trying to trigger my gag reflex to get rid of it, that's how sick its made me feel. i feel bloated, heavy and greasy. but i used to eat fast food almost once a week before beginning my diet.

Why does my body react to it so negatively now when it didn't before?

If you found a hair in your food would you still continue to eat it?

Depends! If I, a friend or a family member cooked the meal, I’m not gonna be bothered. I’ve had worse things in my mouth. If I find a hair in my food at a restaurant, I will stop eating and generally make a comment about it to my waiter/waitress, especially if it’s a big hair. A hair in food might be an unlucky accident, or an indication of greater hygienic issues in the kitchen. The benefit of telling your waiter is that it will tell you what kind of establishment you’re eating at: whether they take the experience of their guests seriously. I’ve learned from my parents (who both have backgrounds as hoteliers) that most restaurants appreciate being made aware of such issues, as their business model revolves around making their customers happy enough that they return. A hair in your food might be enough to turn you off from their restaurant in the future, so they would appreciate the opportunity to rectify the situation and make it up to you. This counts for regular burger joints as much as it does for so-called “high-class” restaurants: good restaurants will appreciate the comment and remake your order. A bad restaurant will question you, insult you or brush you off.Regardless, a hair in your food is unpleasant, but completely harmless in itself. If the food is good enough to keep eating, then by all means do so.

Ants in my closet and all over my clothes. What should I do?

I've never had an ant problem in my closet. I noticed it today and it's freaking gross. I know they go where food is but I've never ate food in there because that's weird. I did remember that I brought a bag into my closet which had a shirt and a wrapped cookie. I forgot about the cookie but when I looked in the bag the ants weren't there in the bag. They were under it and along the wall. I sprayed the crap out of them where I could see on the wall and the edge of the floor but I know they are still probably over my clothes and still in the hamper. Since I took out the cookie and I couldn't find anymore food I don't know what else to do. I'm hoping they will leave since there's no food in the closet anymore but I'm scared they will still be there. What else should I do?
