How do you recover deleted Emails? (AOL/Aim Specifically)?

Those programs can only recover what's on the hard drive. Those emails were managed on a different laptop which i no longer have. I need a way to recover them without the need for that hard drive. Like online or through the AOL sever? If anyone knows of a way to help me out i'd greatly appreciate it.

I don't want to create two sent folders..just return the item marking it unread, so it appears backin my sent file with original date it was created, for storage and reference to what I have sent.
