AP Human Geography?!?!?!?!?!?

I took it last year as a gr9 xD
AP human geo is the easiest among all the AP's for social studies.
Theres not that much concept to learn, and not that much to memorize either.
As long as you always do your homework, study for tests, and study for the AP exam at least 2 weeks ahead of time, you'll probably get a 5.
I don't think I'm as dedicated as you and I managed to get a 5

AP Human Geography Free Response Question?

What geographic elements contributed to the development of the united states and soviet union/ Russia as super powers and what geographic elements contribute to the weakness of these 2 countries?

Distance decay in human geography (please help)?

Yes, that's correct. With increasing distance, there is less influence and interaction. There is also less knowledge of distant areas. For example, many people can name the states that border their own, but not the states that border their bordering states.
People often travel to nearby places but generally less frequently to more distant places.

Opinion on Human Geography?

Assume that the United States constitutes one agricultural market, centered around New York City, the largest metropolitan area. To what extent can the major agricultural regions of the United States be viewed as irregularly shaped rings around the market center, as von Thunen applied to southern Germany?

I Need Help finding a Current Events article (AP Gov)?

I need an article within the last 2 weeks that demonstrates the importance of one of the four linkage institutions (parties, elections, interest groups, or the media) in policy making today.
I have to be able to identify the linkage institution, explain how this linkage institution has impacted policymaking, also have to be able to discuss whether or not the linkage institution has overstepped its influence on policy making decisions

Thanks for your help!
God Bless :)

What is geographic concepts mean?

It means concepts such as a "floodplain" on which sometimes developers want to build but shouldn't; or the natural "catchment area" for the waters that flow into the Everglades; or a high risk area for building because of exposure to hurricanes; or some human activity variable (crime for example, or particular ethnic groups) that is geographically differentiated with location words such as "downtown", "suburban", or "rural".

What are some 'must-read' books for UPSC civil services aspirants?

Not more than 10 books are needed to get a top 10 rank in this examination. If anyone has more than 30-40 books, more often than not, he will not get selected. The 5 absolute must are:Indian polity by Laxmikanth GC LEONG for geography SANJEEV VERMA for economics A brief history of modern India by spectrum  6-10 class NCERTs of all the related topics like science, geography, social sciences etc. 11-12 class NCERTs (art and culture, modern history among others), read selective chapters.Apart from these five sources, you DONT need to purchase any book. There is a lot of other material which one needs to read selectively though.Selective reading of economic survey. Environment and ecology notes by Shankar IASInternational relations of VajiramThe Hindu daily Yojana every monthLexicon/G Subba Rao for ethics  Small topics like disaster management, security, irrigation, left wing extremism, cyber security can be covered from internet sources like Mrunal, Wikipedia, Unacademy - The Free Education Revolution! etc. No need to buy books Solve PYQs from Upsc website (5-10 years).Get some MCQ booklet for practice (can be avoided if you are joining a test series)Avoid reading India year book, Manorama year book, Penguin year book, Ostrich year book etc. Waste of time. Cost benefit ratio is bad.  Take care of your optional, till the time it is not removed by UPSC.Don't buy any book for CSAT-2, if you are good at it, you won't need it. If you're bad with numbers and reasoning, it won't help. Buy how to crack CSE interview book by Madhukar Bhagat. Don't touch anything else, apart from the above mentioned source. I personally don't like reading academics from the books and there are many such people out there, including Gaurav Munjal. For them, I would say that rather than reading painfully boring textbooks, you can watch awesome interactive lessons at Unacademy - The Free Education Revolution!
