apple doesn’t provide any such feature and neither it allows any application on appstore to do that. So if anyone tells you they are misguiding you. You can only lock your device but not your individual apps. But there are few work around which i would mention.1. go to setting and you will see app restrictions in the settings. So you can restrict your app with a password to lock an app and that app will hide itself from the app drawer till you go to settings and unlock it again from app restriction menu.(i found this process very tedious so i don’t personally recommend that.)2. Jail break your iphone. Now people may tell you its illegal but it is not illegal but IT WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY so make sure you know what you are doing or gain some knowledge of it beforehand. Now if you plan to jailbreak then u have to make sure you are on ios 10.2. This will be the last version which will ever be jailbroken once the person who jailbreaks has official tweeted that he won’t be doing this anymore. I don’t recommend or preach that you jailbreak your device or take responsibility if you brick your device during the process of jailbreak.
