Appetite Increased Largely Since School Started

Appetite increased largely since school started?

17, male, 165, Caucasian, since Wednesday, western New York
I started school last Wednesday and noticed my appetite has increased a very large amount, and I want to do something because if I eat more I might gain weight, but if I just dont eat when im hungry I might be low on energy and not feel great.
My 3 guesses for causes are either waking up earlier at 6, or having to eat breakfast so early, an earlier than usual lunch at 11, making me hungry leading to and even after dinner, or maybe even stress?
Im kind of thinking perhaps beginning excersizing might help, im looking at maybe a beginner bodyweight routine so I can do it at home in my free time.

I am 11 almost 12 and have a largely increased appetite. Is it a growth spurt or a disease?

Growth spurt most likely.

On average, when do people start reading books (not school books)?

You are not going to get a true average out of Quora. Your sample is biased towards those who are more literate and/or articulate. Think about it … who answers questions on Quora?I’m not sure where you could get an answer to your specific question, rephrased as … At what age, on average, do people start reading books they choose for themselves, as opposed to books chosen for them by the educational system?I’m sure that this is something literacy advocates have looked at, unfortunately for you I’m too lazy to try and research it for you [I’m sick in bed ATM, OK … that’s my excuse!] … you might start googling things like “literacy statistics” and take it from there.I know I’m rather atypical. I was reading for pleasure before I went to school, and my reading level was way above my peers. This is not an indication of intelligence, just of intense curiosity (my mother taught me the alphabet in self-defence, my questions exhausted her.)If I look back in my memory, most of my school mates NEVER read anything they didn’t have to. In my high school years (my memory is fuzzy, I might be mistaken) out of a school of +/- 400 there were 3 members of the “book club” [South Africa, 1970’s, White, English speaking] … so we have less than 1% of 13–18 year old’s actually interested enough in reading to join a book club. Were here more readers? Undoubtedly, but how many I wouldn’t be able to guess. As one of the school librarians I do know that the vast majority of the school body never set foot inside, even when it was required of them.

Is masterbution a sin? and which one of these two do you think it's better?

Is it ok to mindlessly do my schoolwork? I’m in high school and feel no purpose in anything.

Sounds like you need to do a few things. You need to find things that make you laugh and smile. Listen to funny things on YouTube, watch quality films that have engaging, happy or inspirational storiesStart identifying the many things that you have going for you…start small - you can see, you can hear, you actually HAVE schoolwork to do. Apply yourself, because these are skills that are going to help you choose a career that will help you feel better about yourselfRemember that there people who care about you, things that you like (music, sports, your pet) …get grateful, instead of walking around thinking about what’s NOT going well in your life.LEARN - expand your mind - challenge it. When you’re totally self-absorbed in your own misery, the world can get pretty small. Pick a topic and spend 30–60 minutes each day learning about it.Stop thinking that somebody else is responsible for what happens to you.Start taking better care of yourself…move your body - stretch the parts of you that are tight because of all of the tension. Don’t overeat because you’re bored or lonely.Look at your sleep hygiene. Chances are, your chronically depressed state has helped you develop some bad habits. There are plenty of things you can do….but you’re going to have to learn to STOP LISTENING TO YOUR HEAD if it’s trying to convince you NOT to take an action, a healthy risk or help you break a bad habit. You are not your thoughts — you are what you DO.Do more stuff and watch what happens
