Applying To University But Dont Have The Requirements But Getting Them Currently

I am currently applying for a university, one of their requirements "Tabular overview of academic education" do anyone know what is it?

An outline (Tabular) format indicating:Institution; location; dates of attendance, general focus of study (if more than 7 years out), and GPA.For those Schools, classes, approx. less than seven years out: provide a listing of the classes as well, with grades, and GPA summary and mailing address/contacts to verify registration and performance data.It would seem that this school has a LOT of applications, and wish YOU to go through your stack of records, condense them, such that they don’t have to. IF that preliminary (?) outline looks good, they will seek official transcripts for your most recent 3 years or so, verify your statement (GPA) with the school’s, and if correct, pass your application on to a specific department that you may have suggested.

I have a low GPA currently. i want to transfer to another university ..will i get accepted?

Unless someone in their admissions office tells you otherwise, it would probably be best to bring your GPA up above the minimum before you applied. Some places won't even consider you if you don't first meet their minimum criteria. If you can bring your GPA up to above 3.0 in just one semester, that sounds like the best bet to me. Even if being rejected once isn't a problem, it will put you in much better standing to be accepted. Schools often look to your more recent history first, since a lot of students do poorly at first due to adjusting to college life or other non-scholastic reasons.

Also, if some of the classes you will take next semester are part of the core curriculum or major you wish to pursue at Calgary, it would look good on your transcript if you did well in those classes. But keep in mind that the individual programs may have different requirements. See the link for details.

UCAS university application / Clearing ?

I applied to go to university this year via UCAS. I know we are now well into clearing and it is reaching late August but I still don't (dunno) have a place. Here is why...
You can apply for up to 5 uni's - and have to decline 3 offers leaving you a firm acceptance to one offer and an insurance acceptance to another - My insurance offer now after my results has been Unsuccessful (updated on 11-Aug-2008) - but my firm acceptance has still not had any change (updated on 19-Mar-2008) - however this is also was a conditional place and I narrowly missed the requirements (but I have heard the sometimes still let you in) - but this has not been updated- and has been left very late - so if I don't get this place - It's near the end of clearing so It will be hard to get a place at a decent nearby Uni - Should I phone the University and ask whats going on or should I leave it a bit longer - also should this not have been updated by now - and if I am unsuccessful with this place whats my chance of getting a place now... PS this is what it says for the place I want... Decision = Conditional, your reply = Firm, Updated = 19-Mar-2008. Thanks for any answers in advance - kinda panicking now.

I want to apply for a University in Dubai but I don't live there?

I'm currently looking at the University of Dubai website and to apply it said that you need to have a UAE residence visa and a UAE identity card.

I don't live in Dubai neither am I going to university anytime soon (I have still to complete two years of High School but I want to apply for a university in Dubai and I don't want to rush on things in the last minute)

I know there are other universities in Dubai, I'm still looking, but how are people who don't live in the UAE supposed to apply for universities? Do universities in Dubai have no dormitories or something?

If you could also suggest any universities which are great for people who live abroad that'd be awesome.

I live in Algeria but of dual nationality, I have Algerian and British passports, if that helps.

Can Canadian universities take me even if I don't meet transcript requirements?

Not sure what you mean by ‘transcript requirements’ but I’m assuming you mean your high school or college results are low? If this is the case you might have a hard time getting in unless you are an adult [meaning that you have been out of school for some years]. If that’s the case then you can apply and will probably be accepted to take at least one or two courses, giving you the chance to see how you do at an academic level. I myself got into university this way and now have several degrees ;o) A lot of hard work and crying over my keyboard but I did it!Failing that you could try taking a one-year general arts and science course at a local community college to increase your grade point average. Most colleges will give you a chance because education is for all of us, not just an elite few. Best of luck to you and all success with your future.

If you don't meet the minimum GPA requirement for a specific college, can you not get in?

There is a college I am trying to get into that requires a 3.0. I fulfill all the other requirements to get into it, except for the GPA. My current GPA is 2.8, academic GPA is 2.6. It currently is my senior year. The college I am trying to attend is a private college that requires you send admission by January. So, I do understand that I don't have much time to alter my GPA. What are my chances of getting in?
