Are Asics Good For Running

Is asics a really good brand for running shoes?

Here's a website to check out. They will rate different shoes that come out throughout the year.

Each brand of show: Nike, Asic, New Balance etc, all have different models of shoes. Each brand of shoe on the market is made differently for the intent of the shoe. For example, some shoes are for comfort and are made with extra padding. Others are for runners who like light weight shoes, so there usually is less padding and other materials in the shoe. Some shoes are made for stability. You get the point.

Some Asics rate really high, some don't. Some Nike shoes rate high, some don't. Get the shoe that is comfortable for you.

Is asics the best running shoes?

No.

I'll qualify that with Not necessary the best running shoe.

All the top brands make shoes that are high quality, and will last about a year or 500 miles running before needing to be replaced. Their ranges are similar with different support shoes, weights and grip (track, road, cross country etc) and based on that they arn't the best running shoe.

However..... If you add the words "For me" to your question - "Are Ascics the best running shoe for me" I can give you better advice.

All running shoes are made slightly different and with a slightly different shape - much the same way that ever foot is slightly different shaped. Which shoe fits your foot the best is a matter of trying them on and seeing - so my answer is the best running shoe is the one that fits YOUR feet the best for YOUR style of running.

On a personal note, I have worn New Balance for the past few years because they are the best for MY feet and running style

Is Asics a good brand name for running shoes?

Asics are MUCH BETTER THAN NIKES. Look at any decent runner, the fastest runners wear asics for a reason. the newbies buy nikes because they are trendy and look cool and come in a million colors but they just aren't made for runners, theyre made for exercising. Asics is a running shoe company so they focus on running, Nike makes a million types of sport shoes so they don't focus on what a runner's foot really needs beyond what's in their wallet. Asics knows about flat feet, wide feet, knee problems, shin splints, over pronaters, etc. Try on a few pairs of asics, find one that fits well and try it, you'll love them.

saucony is a great brand for older runners because they sell shoes with more cushioning

i don't get it. all the runners i know, including me, wear asics, and i go on Yahoo answers and every one wears nikes.

What's so great about Asics running shoes?

I've been a runner for a LONG time and a triathlete for five years. For me, the advantage to wearing Asics is personal: they come in narrow sizes and support my feet well. I have very narrow, flat feet and my doctor recommended I try the Asics after Nike let me down and caused me pain. I tried the Asics and was immediately hooked. I can't wear all of the styles of Asics since they are structured for different types of runners but I find the GT series is amazing for me. I wear the shoes solely when I run and I have a different pair for trainign and one for racing. If you get them on clearance they are usually not too expensive but they are worth spending the money on!

Asics vs Nike running shoes?

The best shoe for you depends so much on fit. One runner with a wide foot and a shallow arch will have a totally different opinion from a narrow footed deep arched runner. Everyone is different. There are hundreds of shoes and what works best for me may not work best for you.
Of the hundreds of shoes, there will be a few that are really good for you

So, this is what you have to do:
You should go to a good running store, even if you have to drive a while to get there. You can use the Runner’s World Shoe Store Finder to help you find a nearby store.

Some running stores have experts with whom you can make an appointment. They measure your foot to determine it’s size, your arch, and if you over-pronate or not. They ask you about your running and needs to determine which particular shoes might best meet your needs. Then they let you try them all on and run with them on their treadmills. Usually they have a decent return policy, too.

Keep track of your running and buy new shoes every 400 miles or when they look worn out.

Are asics or under armour better running shoes?

The most important factor is finding a shoe that fits with your specific foot.

Determine what type of pronator you are and pick out a shoe that matches. Once you do this you will immediately tell the difference and will love running.
