Are Atheists Proud Of The Fact That They Support Abortion Or Do They Think That Abortion Is

What bothers you the most about atheists?

I'd like to start by saying that there is nothing that annoys me in particular about atheists in general or atheism as a general proposition. Many of my closest friends are atheists, the best man at my wedding was an atheist, most of my family are atheists. Not an issue. What does annoy me is people (generally called new atheists or antitheists) who dress up anti-religious bigotry as atheism. Some examples:Creating ludicrously one-sided metanarratives about religion being a force of historical and societal evil or being locked in some epic philosophical battle with science. Calling religion illogical,  irrational or unreasonable as though atheism owns all three concepts, and pretending that the definition of all three specifically excludes religious belief.Calling all religious believers stupid, delusional or mentally ill as though the suggestion that you are more mentally well balanced and intelligent than every believer on the planet wasn't a spectacularly unlikely proposition.Suggesting that anyone with religious beliefs should not be allowed to pass their beliefs and values onto their children, in spite of the terrifying human rights implications if such a position was ever enforced.Being upset and offended by religious believers talking about their belief anywhere you are exposed to it as though freedom of speech wasn't applicable to them. Holding all religious believers responsible for things done by tiny minorities, often hundreds of years before they were born (hint: The person you are speaking to is unlikely to be a paedophile priest, almost certainly never burned a witch and definitely wasn't involved in the crusades).Treating Jehova's Witnesses and Mormons as though their turning up on your doorstep is one of the world's greatest evils when, at worst, it has mildly inconvenienced you by interrupting your tea.

Is there anything wrong with being an atheist?

Aah serious question. So after a series of calculations, deductions and drawing complicated inferences to answer this question in a serious way, I failed to do it that way. So i shoot at you some not so serious questions: Do u have your lunch everyday? Do you drink water everyday? Do you sleep everyday? Now do you ever question whether these activities are wrong or right? No . Why dont you do that? The answer is because these things are normal. The very reason you posed this question is because you thought its not normal to be an atheist. Religion is something which has has been normalised. And we confuse normalised with being right. So not following a religion is not normal as per the perception of most of the people in the world because its abnormal for them just like not drinking water, not eating lunch is abnormal for you. But the majority view cannot be necessarily the correct view.

Why are Christians against abortion?

According to the story of Adam's creation in Genesis 2:7, when God "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul", a child is not "alive" until it takes it´s first breath....

If abortion was an important concern, why didn't the bible say so directly?

This means that a fetus is really just a lump of meat, until born and breathing. So what´s the big deal about abortion?

Is ABORTION morally wrong?

Should it be allowed?

I understand the whole "its her body, her choice" and I agree with that. 1 in 3 women will have an abortion by age 45. 95 percent won't regret it. What does this say about us as a race? Its scary to think that 1 in 3 women think this way. What are we turning into nowadays? Humans behave so barbaric nowadays. All the school shootings, abortions, atheism... People need to get a grip and realize the value of life.

Are more Americans for abortion or against it?

It depends on how you ask the question.Generally, most Americans believe that abortion is either morally wrong or it is a sorrowful or undesired option for certain circumstances. It is not a “happy” choice, or a “proud” choice as it is now being promoted by activists. When you walk a person through any list of possible reasons for an abortion, and ask them if it is “right” or “wrong” in that case, most people respond very conservatively. For the most part, however, this level of detail is very rarely delved into when discussion abortion’s support.

Why do so many people in the USA oppose abortion? Is it based on religion?

No, it's not. People say that it's based on religion because that gives them an unassailable position. Logic is irrelevant when you can claim that your viewpoint is the same as God's. It's not really based on religion, or at least Christianity, because the Bible says nothing at all about abortion, just as it says nothing about abstaining from alcohol or medical care, two other things people assert that they do for religious reasons. "Thou shalt not kill [or murder]" seems to have a ton of loopholes, but not at the instant that a sperm fertilizes an egg.  The real reason they are opposed to abortion is the same as the reason they are opposed to independent, uncoerced prostitution, and used to be opposed to contraception, and to having sex out of wedlock, and women going topless. Believe it or not, they're even opposed to efforts to protect women from sexually transmitted diseases! It is classic patriarchal control over women's sexuality. Unfettered female sexuality is dangerous to the social order, and it must be constrained to the boundaries we set. (The exact same reasoning applies in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, except in the latter a woman can be sentenced to flogging or worse for the crime of having been raped. A woman who has been raped in Afghanistan has allowed her sexuality to get out of control and make a man rape her.) Pregnancy is the joyous outcome of sexual intercourse within marriage, and if it occurs it must not be interfered with; and it is the righteous punishment for fornication. A woman who has experienced unauthorized sexual pleasure deserves to be forced to raise an unwanted child. In some respects the United States is still stuck in 1620 when the Mayflower Puritans arrived.
