Are Boko Haram The Cartoon Villains Of The World

What would be the most lucrative job for Superman to do with his powers?

Since I am in a bit of a hurry, I will only do Superman. Given a few minutes I could probably do the rest of the Justice League.Alone with his flight, superhuman strength and ability to survive in vacuum, he could harvest enough Conflict resources and rare earths used in electronic technology to corner the market for the rest of the Information Age (or at least until we switch to a different, possibly biological medium).Depending on which version of the hero you used, he could also enlist his super-robots to industrialize the process rendering him with the largest, purest stockpile of said minerals on Earth. This would make Superman richer than any and possible all the technology companies on Earth, simultaneously. It would also create a potential economic shift of epic proportions, and possibly lawsuits about the economic effects of his monopoly of such metals.Facts About Rare Earth Elements (Infographic)

If you were a spy or a superhero, would you kill bad guys?

I’m the nicest person in the world, sincerely, but if I was a superhero that didn’t have some lame-ass power, I’d be over in the Middle East killing members of ISIS. I’d be in Africa wiping my ass with Boko Haram. I’d be the worst nightmare to terrorists. If I was someone on the level of Wolverine or Deadpool, then terrorists would have a serious problem on their hands. I’d clean out the whole nest of those guys, and let special forces mop up what’s left (literally).I suspect that most real spies try their best not to kill people if at all possible. Some spies do kill people though, and it’s in their job description. If I were a spy, and it was my job to kill a bad guy, then yes I would. So, the next question is, how can I support someone like Batman, who has a code to not kill people, no matter how bad they are?Well, as much as I love Batman, he’s a fictional character. I respect his code because it forces the character to be a role-model.The struggle for Batman to not kill bad people leads to incredible moments of introspection and character-conflict that limits the character and also becomes an opportunity to discuss the value of all human life. But ultimately, it’s just a story. In reality, there are bad people out there, and we don’t have the ability to arrest them in a war zone or use diplomacy with nutsacks. Some people operate outside of polite society and killing them is the quickest, best, and sometimes the only way, to stop them.I drew the illustration several years ago of me as a superhero. For the record, I’d have to work out and diet like a movie star for a decade to look like that in real life!

What is your review of Padmaavat (2018 movie)?

After the disclaimers that set the tone for the movie, I patiently wanted to watch and immerse myself in the magnum opus, and come out a satisfied viewer. Controversies aside, the first few scenes truly set your expectations high.Of course, Bhansali has chosen to beautify the story in his own trademark style but the movie loses its charm somewhere in the middle, in my opinion. The cinematography and set design is absolutely exhilarating. However, it misses the charm due to over emphasis on non warranted events and characters. The queen is supposed to be virtuous, a more fierce warrior and a better military leader than her husband, a Rajput king. However, we hardly get glimpses of what she is capable of. The narration assumes that we already know how multi faceted she was supposed to be.There is a bit of over-idealism in Shahid Kapur’s character as well, which feels unrealistic compared to Khilji.Having watched Bhansali’s previous films, it was amazing to see how he found romance and emotional depth in historic backgrounds or unconventional stories. Padmaavat lacks exactly in that aspect.I would have rather named the movie ‘Khilji’ rather than Padmaavat since the focus is solely on Ranveer singh most of the time. Shahid and Deepika’s chemistry is a bit wavered and they are not to be blamed as Ranveer singh steals the limelight all by himself. The VFX is noteworthy, Ranveer Singh’s performance and bundles of energy is infectious and of course, if you love grandeur on the screen, it is a movie you will enjoy.I would rate it 2.5/5.Read this book or a summary of it if you want to enjoy the movie a bit more.At its core, it is a piece of art that needs to be appreciated, or you can just go and drool at how Ranveer Singh showcases a villain in his truest sense.
