Are Chechens White What Do They Look Like

Are Chechens white?

The label ‘white’ is so ambiguous that it is almost impossible to say.Regardless, do you recognize the fellow below? If you don’t, that is Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev.Sound familiar? If not, he is one half of the (in)famous Boston bombers. He is of Chechen origin hence his Chechen/Russian sounding surname. In fact, his father is a Chechen native while his mother Avar.Does he pass for white? Well, like I said, the term ‘white’ is pretty confusing, and as such, I’ll let you (and others) decide.

Are Chechens white? What do they look like?

If by "white" you mean skin colour, then Chechens are lighter than Southern Europeans (Southern Italians, Spanish, Portuguese; some ex-Yugoslavians) and their Southern Caucasian neighbors (e.g. Armenians).
Scientifically speaking, "White" is not really a "serious" term. You see, here in former USSR we were taught that there are only 3 races: Europeoids, Negrоids and Mongoloids. According to this classification Semitic (Arabs) and Indian people belong to Europeoid group, while Turkic are a mix of Europeoids and Mongoloids.
Chechens (genetically) are a mix of Turkic and Semitic. So, what race (scientifically) they belong to depends on what race classification you consider legitimate. Because except Soviet view there are tons of others, which see or don't see Semitic/Turkic/Indian etc as "white".
Q: "Are they like Italians with Caucasian features and a bronze tan?"
A: rather pale/fair-skinned Arabs (black hair/eyelashes, dark eyes). However there is some % (~5) of light-haired/light-eyed Chechens and other North Caucasians, who look rather "European Tatar" (which is also a complicated one since Volga, Crimea, Tatarstan etc Tatars are not the same at all), e.g. Kadyrov.

Q: "Is there a giveaway trait or sign that someone's a Chechen?"
A: the way they look (at things and other people) and move.
Q: "Also, do they have a distinguishable Russian accent?"
A: almost all Chechens have Chechen accent when speaking Russian, even if their Russian is flawless in terms of grammar. I assume they won't have the same Russian/Eastern European accent as ethnic Rus' do when speaking foreign language, it will always differ at least a bit. They even have different intonation/tone, manner etc.
Q: "But then again the average Russian is lighter-skinned than the average European"
A: it depends on where one lives. North Western Russians (me) are as pale/fair as Finns, Swedes, Icelanders and some Irish/Scottish (the red head ones esp), but Southern Russians (Kuban etc) live in sunny places, so they will get darker skin tone during summer months... and without that "reddishness" we Northerners do.

Are Chechens white or not?

They are white indeed ,but some look dark due to arab, turkish mix but most look russian

Are Chechen people white?

YES!!!

They are as pure Caucasian as probably possible. Even the word Caucasian has to do with Chechen people. For "Kavkasians, one of the ethnicons met in the ancient Georgian written sources, signifying the ancestors of the CHECHENS and Ingush.

We're do Chechens live? In the the CAUCASIAN mountains, the SAME place where he word caucasian comes from.

Chechens constitute a Caucasian native ethnic group of the Nakh peoples family originating in the North Caucasus region of Eastern Europe.

Any ways, do you not know the majority of middle eastern people are also Caucasian? Seriously, did you grow up in a remote place in the Appalachian mountains?

In conclusion: Chechen people ARE Caucasians, they LIVE in the CAUCASIAN mountains.

What do Chechens and Tatars look like?

Here is the ‘average' Chechen manAnd the ‘average’ Chechen woman(I got these pics online by searching ‘average Chechen phenotype' but a specific source wasn't mentioned)Edit: found another pic displaying the average phenotypeThese pictures look quite right. Chechen men are known to have robust and very ‘manly' features as in a strong jawline, face shape is usually a bit broad and long (but not too much) and eyes are mostly almond shaped or upturned, lips can vary in shape (usually they're small but full lips are not rare either) eyebrows are thick and the nose is straight or aquiline and can be a bit wide in the front (as in a rounder nosetip, I can't really explain it sorry lol) I call it a potato nose :). Both men and women have prominent cheekbones.Chechen women on the other hand tend to have very feminine and gracile features. Big upturned or almond shaped eyes are the most common, lips vary in sizes, Chechen women, like the men, have visible jawlines but not as strong as the males. Noses are also straight or aquiline and face shape rounder than the men’s.Haircolor is usually dark but lighter shades aren't uncommon. Eyecolor ranges from the lightest blue to the darkest brown. Skincolor can range from ghostly pale to a nice tan, most Chechens are quite pale with a yellowish undertone. Average height for men would be between 175cm-185cm and for women 165cm-170cm (this is from my own observation as I couldn't find official numbers). This video is a good representation of what Chechens look likeEdit 2: adding in some crowd pics(Ahem not really a fan of those posters and the flag tbh))

Why do Chechens look similar to Albanians?

I seriously hope that this is just a stupid joke and not a serious question!Chechens look as every other European, they are not different from a Brit, a French, a Spaniard, a Russian, a Romanian or a Serbian. If you mean similar by culture and language than you have to eat your words, Albanian is an Indo-European language with no relations to any other language outside the IE family, and even inside the IE family it has no direct relatives![1][2][3][4]I also reccomend to read the books of the Russian linguist Vladimir Orel since you seems to lack of any knowledge about Albanians!Vladimir Orel, Albanian Etymological DictionaryA CONCISE HISTORICAL GRAMMAR OF THE ALBANIAN LANGUAGE - VLADIMIR ORELAbout our folk dresses, tell me how could these…… be similar to these…B… but Albanians are Muslims!Oh please, Ethiopians are Christians but they don't look similar to the Europeans, then part of us is Christian, there are no Christians who are ethnic Chechens, at least not traditionally as we were for 2000 years!Footnotes[1] Introduction to Albanian[2] https://www.google.it/url?sa=t&s...[3] Albanian language, alphabets and pronunciation[4] Is there a general consensus on what modern language is the closest relative of Albanian?
