Go see your doctor before you get concerned, they can clearly evaluate your true BMI.Firstly, you're working out regularly so you can toss this chart in the trash:Secondly, so many factors go into healthy body composition that any simple "rule of thumb" (or maybe a chart per se) is over generalized. I am just a touch over 5'10" and weigh 200 lbs. I don't look like a football player, nor a marathon runner, but I'm certainly not borderline obese as this chart would have me believe. I play sports and have worked out my entire life. My strength to weight ratio is ideal but you would never guess me at 200 lbs. (btw..I win a lot of stuffed animals at the County Fair when they guess my weight). Once upon a time I was concerned about my BMI and its possible effects on my health. My doctor told me that bone density, muscle concentration and cell mass differ with all of us. I guess it was his way of telling me that I was dense! (rim shot). He then told me to get out of his office and enjoy my stuffed animal collection. I'm sure your doctor will tell you much of the same.

At 14 u r still growing, eat healthy, get out & walk a mile or 2 or more every day, cycle, hike, run, swim, just do something active & fun for U. Greatly limit anything with flour or sugar n it, literally try to completely avoid these. B careful with starch like potatoes, rice, pasta; one small serving or 2 no more than once a month. Choose fruits for ur carbs, eat lots & lots of veggies especially green ones, (like 8 cups a day of low carb veggies, not corn, carrots which r okay n small portions once n awhile). I hope this helps u. I wish I'd known at 14 what I know today. It's relatively easy & fun to get & stay healthy by eating right; but, the hard part is the easy access to fast good yumminess garbage! It's not normal...there is a BMI(Body Mass Index) ration should be in between 21 to 25 proportional to your height...To gain weight Do's- eat fruits everyday (specially banana)- exercise- have food with protein source everyday(soya or any other protein powder which doesn't harm)Dont's- avoid junk food(it stores non usable fat which then affects to heart and welcomes many other disease)- don't think negative- don't feel so stressed
