Why do people say the black panther party is racist?
Short answer: simple ignorance (as the answers to this question [so far] make abundantly clear). At the time of their emergence, there was a good deal of racism associated with the reaction to them, but more fear and (even then) just plain ignorance. The best way to understand them (this is for those who've answered the question so far) is to begin with their Ten-Point Platform and Program (easily accessed online), and (if you can access the Black Thought and Culture database at Alexander Press) their newspaper, The Black Panther (which appeared several times in 1967 and weekly from January 1968 until the late 1970s). If you can't get the latter, get Philip S. Foner's edited collection, The Black Panthers Speak (1970). It's hard to read much about them and conclude they were a racist organization.
If terrorism is the use of violence in pursuit of political aims, does that mean that Black Lives Matter is a terrorist organization?
Who cares, are you going to stop them? If your answer is yes, then maybe you should do something about the klansmen still lynching folk, or the neo-nazis who shot two policemen and covered them with a swastika too.Or, better yet, join the military like I did and fight! In a sense BLM is noble for a terrorist group to reject the widely successful tactics of the KKK and ISIS, who don't want to be seen because even they know, that their acts are too shameful and wicked to show their faces.Klansmen literally wear masks so they can continue to hold their high powered jobs in Congress, and in the police and criminal justice system. The people involved in those shootings are either dead or in jail, or on the run. The same can't be said whenever it's a unarmed black man being killed, nobody has to run because… who cares!If BLM has some lofty political goal, it has a long way to go before it reaches Klan status. I mean, BLM can't even achieve their explicit goal of getting cops to stop killing black people for Christ sake!

Because the Republican Party is supportive of racist and anti Semitic hatred. Plus misogyny, homophobia, and plenty more….they appear to hate and fear everything/everyone that does not reflect their own image back at them.I know I’ll get some right-wing outrage hurled at me for this.
