Are Democrats More Qualified To Answer Questions About Science Than Republicans

Shouldn't everyone, Republicans and Democrats, question why Hillary thinks she's qualified to be President?

Well, let's see... Dubya' ran an oil company into the ground, ran a baseball team into the ground, turned Texas into the capital punishment capital of the USA and of course has ran the USA into the ground. Looks like he was perfectly qualified wasn't he...? Oh yeah, he ran his car into a tree up in Maine too while he was drunk...

Unlike Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton has always been involved in politics and was very active as First Lady.

Besides, she's going to put a lot of crooked cowboys in jail after she's elected and won't THAT be fun...!

Do you think Democrats and Republicans should compromise and work together more in 2019?

"Compromise" just means "doing exactly what the establishment wants".
"Compromise" = more wars, more outsourcing of jobs, more debt, etc.

Why do democrats and republicans fight so much? They're so much alike.?

-Both are offended really easy
-Both want to take freedom from someone to push their own agenda
-Both have the same lust to destroy the world as we know it
-Both are greedy and only want for themselves
-Both perpetuate the myth that the president makes a difference for the country
-Neither could care less about the working class

I always heard growing up that ignorance is bliss, but democrats and republicans seem so angry much of the time!

Are Democrats more racist and elitist than Republicans?

Both sides have different racial concerns and so they think they are doing the right thing and think their opponents are racist and wrong.Democrats see a history of racial injustice in the US, and say that racism is by definition a combination of power and discrimination.Republicans say that racism is treating people differently based upon race or skin color. So Democrats promote racial advantage for hiring and school admissions to combat the history of racism in our country, and say that such a policy is necessary to correct past injustices, and that since the beneficiaries of this policy are not institutionally powerful, that such a policy can not be racist by definition. In fact anyone that opposes them is deliberately hurting racial minorities, and is therefore obviously a racist.Republicans will see such a policy and say “you’re treating people from different races differently, that’s racism!”Both are correct under their own framework. The question that must then be decided is what is the proper definition of racism.

Are Democrats less partisan than Republicans?

It’s a complicated question.I would say Democrats — or at least Democratic-leaners — are at least somewhat less partisan than Republicans, although this may be decreasing. I know a number of people who reliably vote Democratic now who have voted for third party candidates (Perot or Nader) in the past. It seems to have been an advantage for Republicans, who have sometimes taken advantage of Democrats’ relative open-mindedness to win elections.Speaking as a long-term Democrat, I have always at least tried to give the Republican and sometimes third party candidates a look. But I’ve ended up voting Democratic in almost every case because the Republicans are now so uniform in supporting policies that I oppose and because voting for a third party candidate has always been the equivalent of not voting . Democrats, though slightly less uniform, generally support those that I favor. It’s never been that I’ve supported Democrats because of the “D” after their name, but because I like their positions much better than those of the Republicans.Having said that, in recent years, looking at the candidate’s positions has become almost a waste of time. Republicans are always against improving health care, always in favor of cutting needed services for the poor to give more money to rich people who need it the least, always against abortion rights etc. They also seem to feel obligated to say things that I know are false. If the Democrats did not nominate someone like Kanye West, that would definitely give me pause. But I would look at his policy positions and qualifications, look at those of the Republican and those of any third party candidates, as well as the chance of winning of the third party candidate, and make my decisions accordingly.Based on this last election, in which Republicans overwhelmingly supported an unqualified individual whose policies were very different from what Republicans usually support, it seems like they would support anyone with an “R” after his name.

Are Democrats more educated than Republicans?

I am a Republican. However you meant on the average and the people who decide what education is and who has more of it - will probably skew it Democrat. What is truth though is that Democrats are high in openness and low in conscientiousness. Republicans are low in openness and high in conscientiousness. However they need each other, one makes a really good lawyer and the other makes a really good entrepreneur. It is a symbiotic relationship. My fear is that intersectionality drives us to tribalism and the two no longer even want to work together even though there is good money in doing so. They will take less money and not have to tolerate the intolerable (a Trump voter working at Google or YouTube! is intolerable).Democrats are weak. Physically. Upper body strength is correlative of political status a 2017 study found. The greater the upper body strength the more likely that person was to be Republican or have right leaning views.'An academic study from researchers at Brunel University London assessed 171 men, looking at their height, weight, overall physical strength and bicep circumference, along with their views on redistribution of wealth and income inequality. The study, published in the Evolution and Human Behavior journal, found that weaker men were more likely to favor socialist policies than stronger men.It is much more likely that the traits that incline people to work out also are helpful in accumulating wealth and power. And those whose efforts (you know, hard work requiring grit, persistence, and the deferral of gratification, kind of like getting up every day and dragging yourself to the gym) lead them to acquire more goods than some others are less likely to endorse distributing goods on the basis of possession of a pulse, rather than effort.' - (American Thinker, 2017)Averages can be ugly. They cut to the heart of the matter. Republicans are strong, but slightly less educated. Democrats are weak but slightly more educated. While strong Democrats exist, so do Republicans who are neurosurgeons. Those are exceptions to the average - the outliers from the bell curve. Next time you see a democrat ask them much he can bench - if they do not know what a bench (other than something you sit on to have your latte) is just count that as 85.Now excuse me while I go smash something with rocks.

Why are there more Democrats on Quora than Republicans?

I think it might be as simple as:There are more Democrat voters than there are Republican voters. Apparently last time the Republican Party got more votes than the Democrats in a Presidential election was in 2004, and then 1988. I think you see more Democrats on Quora than Republicans because there are simply more in general.Democrats skew younger than Republicans, and younger people are more likely to use computers. So not only are there more Democrats in general, the people likely to be using computers more, are likely to be younger, and even more likely to be Democrat. Finally, you might see people with Democrat-sounding ideas, but they’re not Democrats, they’re just from countries which lean more to left than the USA does. Quora is an international site, and the Western world tends to be more left wing than the USA does. The USA is probably slightly unusual in that it’s a first world nation which still has a strong right wing/conservative voting base.I think the electoral college means that it appears that the number of Republican and Democrat voters are reasonably evenly split, but in reality, Democrats tend to get more votes than Republicans do, at least in recent decades. The electoral college makes it look 50/50, but the actual numbers are notably more Democrats.

Are there more republicans than democrats in the United States? I remember seeing a poll awhile ago that said this way true.

It is a reality that there are more Democrats than there are Republicans. That’s why Republicans are always advocating “Voter ID” laws, cleansing voter lists, (purging), and otherwise setting up obstacles that are solely designed to discourage decent and qualified people from voting. Lower voter turnout is indeed the only way that Republicans can prevail in important elections. It should also be noted that a substantial portion of our electorate, identifies as “Independent”. As Bernie Sanders clearly demonstrated this year, those Independents share ideology with most of the Democratic party. In an earlier era, today’s Independents would be considered more Democratic than today’s Democratic party loyalists. What this means is that in addition to the core Democratic voter, the Democratic party with only a few significant adjustments to their platform, would become very attractive to the Independent voter. The majority of the country identifies with Liberal values. Conservatives are a diminishing minority.

Why don't Democrats in the Senate just let Republicans vote to fund the wall?

Because there's a chance it might pass. That's what the filibuster is for. It's for letting the minority prevent something they think is bad enough to be worth using the filibuster for. And IMHO, the wall qualifies as it will be billions of wasted taxpayer dollars.

But the real issue is that majorities never actually force the minority to ACT OUT the filibuster anymore. It used to be you had to actually speak forever to sustain that filibuster and that made using it embarassing...and exhausting. Now they just say "filibuster" and as long as they demonstrate they have the votes to sustain it once, the majority just shrugs and gives up. It was supposed to be only for important stuff. Now it's used for almost everything.

Are there more unemployed democrats or republicans?

That is an impossible question to answer, as there are many variables. What is known is that, the lower an Individual is on the Economic Ladder from Multi-Billionaires at the to bankrupt homeless people at the bottom who are not eligible for welfare and have no employment prospects in the formal, publically regulated economy, the further you are down that ladder, the less likley you are to vote or take an interest in politics.therefore, One could fairly assume that the chronic unemployed at A-Political
