What is the best news app in India?

Apart from all other apps suggested in the answers i would suggest three must have apps. 1. Inshort (formerly known as newsinshort)I have been using it for almost two years now. It made news reading fun. Crisper news from all domain may that be politics, technology, sport or anything. You will be informed. If you are low on time or dont bother to get into detail but still want to stay informed. This is app for you. Every article shortened in just 60words.I often share bizzare news with my friends. They introduced toss and poll recently. Which shares a article in your inshort circle.2. Newsbyte: I am amazed that none of the answers have mentioned it. This is by far best news app i have seen. When you want to know all the details of a news but in shortest time this is the app for you.Give news in bullet points just like inshort. Every news is shortened into 3-4 bullets points makes it crisper to read. But it does not end here. When expanded it give you all the news related to the topic in a timeline connecting you all the news about the topic over the time. It also provides with definition of difficult term that are very difficult to understand. Making news reading a smoother journey but by not degrading the quality of the content. If you wanna stay informed for competitive exams and can devote some 3min on every topic this is best app for you. It eliminates the popular notion " Half knowledge is dangerous" this is by far the best app to understand economy.3.  Opeddiction : Another App for people who love reading news paper and long articles. And generally prefer reading newspaper over app because of editorial section and long detailed ornament articles. This is app crowdsource articles from all the news paper, segregate it and put it together in one app. Segregated in different segment like poltics, bussiness, sports, development etc And then all the article all the newspaper on that segment. Expand it you have your article. This is like having all the newspaper in one app.Though not a classy UI but best for people with lot of time and who loves reading news. So these are best found app. Choose according if are a starter in news reading start with inshort move to newsbyte then may be to opeddiction.

Aliens will destroy the Earth in one week unless humans can unite to do one single thing together. What would you do?

We will survive, easily. We have two basic needs that we all must do in a week or less: Breath, and ingest water. The sure thing is breathing, as there could be some exception somewhere with drinking water, such as surviving from plants containing lots of water or being on an IV while in a coma.I am sure that there are hundreds of other things that essentially every other person does naturally, without thinking and regardless of culture. Blinking and urinating, for example. If our aliens were being nitpicky, these may not work, as there are going to be a few exceptions because of physical limitations.. No eyes, or surgery, for example. The only thing I would do is keep my mouth shut. If I advertised and let people know it was an issue, there would be people who wanted to argue the point. Some would find a way to take a non-breathing stance and find a way to accomplish it.

Where is the best place to read or watch unbiased, nonpartisan news?

As someone who has worked at ABC, MSNBC, Fox, Japanese TV AND CNN, I can say with complete confidence that no single channel, no single newspaper, no single radio station will give you what you really require.A complete picture of the days events from all perspectives and as seen through the maximum number of political lenses. The sad fact is that you really need to watch as many different newscasts as possible--including the exciting new Chinese Central TV and Al Jazeera channels--you need to read the mainstream press (which will probably get the facts right) and the blogs that give you the views of the left, right, and sideways. And then go back to the longer-term perspective of magazines like New Republic, The Economist, and The New Yorker to see what things look like after the dust has settled.  I generally don't believe any one source--and I never believe Agence France Presse or any British Newspaper at any time on any subject, I can say from experience that the people at the mainstream press work incredibly hard to be objective and to provide multiple viewpoints. I will also say from personal experience that Fox News tells it's reporters the outcome of the story before they go out to cover it and MSNBC would as soon report Martian News as their current liberal rants if they could make money at it. And that's the burden of a citizen in a free society. We have more news and information outlets than ever before in history and are bombarded with every nutball conspiracy theory and alternative explanation. It's up to you to make up your own mind.(PS. Someone else is going to inevitably say that you should only watch the BBC or Canadian news or whatever.  they have their own blind spots (Israel is an enormous one) and just as an anecdote, I used to watch the BBC and Reuters correspondents stagger upstairs from the hotel bar in Beirut to file stories on events that had happened miles and miles away while they were enjoying their third gin and bitters.)(PPS. I completely forgot. One very interesting source of unbiased political news is the Sirius Channel POTUS. It's great conversation, long or complete playbacks of speeches, reports from major newspaper reporters, and a startling lack of bias. Sadly, it appears to be changing to a more argumentative style--it probably wasn't getting enough listeners.)
