Why don't Americans want Jeb Bush to be President?
Americans mostly don't want him because he isn't a very good candidate.He is the brother of a former President whose legacy could charitably called "mixed" and should more properly called "a disaster." Despite trying to convince voters that he's his own man, his advisors are largely drawn from a collection of his brother's administration, which suggests that some of the more tragic mistakes of that administration could be repeated.He lacks the affable charm that his brother possessed. He comes of as disconnected and pompous.Despite his reputation as being "the smarter brother", he doesn't act like it. As a for instance, during one of the GOP debates, he tried to corner Rubio on his record of not showing up for Senate votes. Rubio was completely ready for it, and his response caught Bush completely by surprise. Bush looked like he had been struck in the face. It is like he never considered that anyone would fight back.Two Bushes really are probably enough. People mistrust political dynasties.Perhaps most importantly, he's a relic from a Republican party which no longer exists. The days of the "compassionate conservative" are over. The days of a Republican who supports immigration reform are over. Bush isn't a moderate by any means, but he stands to the left of most Republican candidates, and there is only space for candidates on the right.
Is President Obama guilty of treason?
Don’t believe everything you read…The Republicans spent years investigating Hillary and never found anything that she did that was a crime.Now they are starting on President Obama, probably one of the most honest people that has ever been president.Believe This…There is nothing that the Republicans won’t distort use innuendo or outright lie about. They will do anything no matter how evil if they think it will enhance their position.The will kidnap kids from their parents and keep them in pens, they will accuse people of crimes that they know they are innocent of, the will cover for anything up to and including treason if it’s one of their own.And they will accept a career con artist who is a mentally ill, maniacal egotist with absolutely no morals or a trace of compassion as their leader. At the same time, they are ready to take health care coverage away from millions of people in order to give a tax break to the wealthiest members of our society.When they controlled the House they covered up all the evil things that Trump was doing and now they are doing their best to make sure that we never find out about it by blocking the Mueller investigation report from the public.The United States is going down the tube and it’s because of them.So don’t believe everything that you have read, (including me) do your research and see the truth for your self.If it was up to the Republicans there would still be people who have worked their entire life living in poverty with no Social Security, no health care and no food.They are doing everything they can to get back to those days.
Would Bernie Sanders have defeated Donald Trump? Would Bernie have been a more or less formidable candidate than Hillary?
No, he couldn’t have.Why?He didn’t have the minority votes - African Americans and Latinos simply had little reason to vote for Sanders. For some reason Sander supporters seem to be unable to grasp that very obvious fact and they assume that their support for Sanders translated to other members of the Democratic party. It didn’t.He didn’t have the female vote - Hillary Clinton had the Democratic female vote (except, of course, the “millennials”) and Sanders did not. A first female President was a powerful lure that an elderly White male was not.He didn’t have the support of the party leadership - Again, Sanders supporters keep “forgetting” that he never raised money for the party, he never stumped for other Democrats and he was a DINO (Democrat In Name Only). The leadership of the party had no reason to believe that he would have won and they would have withheld their support.Sander’s social views didn’t align with those of the voters who gave the slight edge to Trump that allowed him to win - As the past week has demonstrated, most Trump supporters simply did not (and DO NOT) care about the racists, misogynists anti-Semites and White nationalists with whom he has surrounded himself. Apparently his views mirror their own and Sander’s social views did not.Sanders is Jewish - Sectarian bigotry is still a major issue in the United States as Trump’s appeals to anti-Muslim elements makes very clear, If someone who has made extremist and prejudiced statements about Muslims could get elected, then there’s no way that a Jew (observant or not) could have been elected during this cycle.Sanders didn’t win the primaries that he needed to and he thus didn’t even get the chance to be nominated. Even if he had won the nomination, he would have failed to garner the necessary votes or support to have won the general election.
