Is it wrong to lock my almost 3-year-old in her room at bed time? She cries for me not to leave but when I'm laying in there with her she's screaming at me and slapping me and trying to hurt me.

It’s so easy to say that someone is wrong, isn’t it? But let’s not focus on what didn’t work. Let’s think about what will work.A few things: First off, you can change her behavior. You need to be very consistent in how you deal with her, but you can do that. Say to her “If you slap or hurt me, I will not lie down with you.” If you are lying down with her and she does this, go get a chair and sit across the room from her, knitting or reading in a way that ignores her but is still present. As you do this, you can say (if needed) “If you get out of your bed, I will leave the room, but it’s time to sleep now,” and just ignore her. If she doesn’t usually get out of bed, you can simply say “It’s time to sleep now and I will stay for 10 minutes.” By doing this, you insert a new step, in between being in her bed and locking her in her room.Being in a room while ignoring the child is a perfectly good step towards learning to sleep alone. In our case, we had an additional rule. If my son was having trouble going to sleep, he could always ask for a poem, and I would read to him one poem. And then I would read him a poem like this. This process, where you break hard-to-do actions into smaller steps that she can more easily achieve, can be very helpful.Read “The Baby Whisperer.” It has good information about helping your child to sleep. You might ask your pediatrician if your daughter can have an occupational therapy exam. An occupational therapy exam is kind of a super-duper milestones exam, where the OT checks to see if your child’s senses and body control are growing in sync, and are at the typical maturity level.Sometimes if children’s senses are immature, it’s hard for them to go to sleep because their brain doesn’t know where their body is. This is a developmental step called “proprioception.” Sometimes, children who have immature proprioception do well with heavy blankets or a weighted vest. This calms their brains, and helps them sleep. You can try this even without an OT evaluation. However, most problems are related to parenting, so I’d give it a full month of very disciplined parenting changes, and see how it goes. Here’s a good parenting program called “Love and Logic” that does a good job of supporting parent learning and parenting changes. Good luck.

Why do men wear loose clothes and women wear tight clothes?

The reason is because women are more objectified in society.A woman’s value is more closely tied to her attractiveness and sex appeal. In my opinion, this is because men have historically had more power and resources in society, leading women to need to trade sex for resources. This meant commodifying female sexuality. This difference could also be caused by men experiencing positive feelings of desire in response to women wearing revealing clothing. Women, by contrast, seem to almost be threatened by male exposure. At the end of the day, women wear more revealing clothing because they are taught they are more valuable if they look sexy and appealing to th heterosexual male. It’s as simple as that.Female attractiveness is considered more important than female quality of life. Consider how women wear tight, uncomfortable clothing and high heels because they prioritize sex appeal over comfort. It’s often not even conscious, as women are taught to start doing this at a young age.Another reason may be that women are less averse to seeing other women’s bodies than men are. Women seem to more often be almost somewhat bisexual. Consider how even straight women typically get aroused by lesbian open. By contrast, straight men usually find gay porn repulsive. As sad as it is, men are valued more for who they are as people and what they can do. Exposing their bodies is considered undignified. For men, practicality and comfort are paramount. Their wardrobes are much more comfortable, more timeless, and more efficient.Even if you are a woman who wants to wear looser, more practical clothing in simple shapes, figuring out how to do so is a struggle. Options are limited, and men’s clothes typically don’t fit right on women’s bodies.I personally am a 0, so I tend to drown in men’s clothes. I also am a bit too curvy for straight cuts. But here I am looking like a badass in some men’s clothes I borrowed one day. You can see the pants are way too big and too long. They are held up with a belt.Does anyone know where to find very small men’s designer clothes?
