Are My Grades Ok As Of Now

Is it OK not to get good grades?

Ok, I am about to bestow a little known, semi-controversial truth upon you.You don’t always need to be good in school to be successful in life. Now don’t get me wrong, this doesn’t mean you should just blow off education because of that. I firmly believe that everyone should have a good education. But just because you failed that chemistry quiz doesn’t mean you will be broke and living on the streets of Chicago when you’re older. Let me give you an example.I have a friend named… Let’s call him Michael for the sake of keeping his identity secret. Anyway, Michael’s dad absolutely sucked in school. He bombed every class he was in. He left school in 8th grade and never went back. Michael’s dad currently makes roughly $170k per year. That is a full $130k than the average American makes. You know how? He’s a mechanic. He isn’t just a mechanic either. He’s also an investor. Neither of these skills are usually taught in schools, but they made Michael’s dad a millionaire before he was 50.The point is, there are plenty of jobs out there that don’t require book smarts. Don’t sweat it if you don’t ace every quiz your teacher gives out. Once more, this doesn’t mean that you can just quit school either. Hard skills, or things you are being taught in school, give you a huge upper hand in society. If you are in a job interview without a high school diploma, and there is someone else is also applying for the job WITH a high school diploma, the person with the diploma is going to get the job 80% of the time.tl;dr - Don’t just give up at school, but also don’t freak out if you get an F or two.

Is a C+ a bad grade?

There are different ways to look at it, and you need to choose one, or if you choose more than one, choose how you reconcile them. 1). This is a passing grade that will move you, in most schools, toward your degree. You passed and can now move on to the next subject. You are one class closer to your graduation. 2). You barely met the minimum requirements. Grade inflation being what it is, you probably did really poor job, your submissions were largely embarrassing and you probably do not really have enough stuff learned for the next classes you are taking. 3). Compare yourself to other students. Is yours the highest grade in the class - or the lowest? 4). Compare yourself now to yourself before and otherwise look at your circumstances. Did you overcome significant challenges and prevailed and improved? I had a student in class whose Mom was very sick and she had to take care of her the whole semester, and then Mom died right before the finals. The student got a C. In my opinion, given the circumstances, the student did amazingly well and should be proud of herself. Another student who could not even imagine before being able to take a class like this at all, worked really hard, went to the tutoring center, and prevailed and got a C, and it was a glorious shining victory. All in all, you need to make choices and take their consequences. If you can honestly say, like some students of mine did, that you have a very full plate, and studying is not a priority, all you care about is to get to graduate - then your grade does the job. I respect an adult choice like that.If your grade was due to you not working hard enough, there is an additional problem for you that you need to know about: you may be setting yourself up for mediocrity. Your work and study habits are going to haunt you way after you graduate, and a great number of opportunities will never materialize because of them. It is no joke. Your habits are going to affect your life in a major way. Everything you do now is forming those habits. Be careful.

If I'm 14 years old, which grade should I be?

Well in my state in Missouri to go kindergarten you need to be age 5 before August 1st.And school start at Mid August. And ends in Late in late May.So that means if your born on August 1st or after you Will have to wait until the following year to start kindergarten. So if your born in early August you will start kindergarten at age 6 instead of 5.So that means there two ages per each grade so the rule is +5 And +6.Okay now let start.Elementary schoolKindergarten age 5 and age 6.1st grade +5 And +6 = age 6 and age 7.2nd grade +5 And +6 = age 7 and age 8.3rd grade +5 And +6 = age 8 and age 9.4th grade +5 And +6 = age 9 and age 10.5th grade +5 And +6 = age 10 and age 11.6th grade +5 And +6 = age 11 and age 12.Middle school7th grade +5 And +6 = age 12 and age 13.8th grade +5 And +6 = age 13 and age 14.High schoolFreshman/9th grade +5 And +6 = age 14 and age 15.Sophomore/10th grade +5 And +6 = age 15 and age 16.Junior/11th grade +5 And +6 = age 16 and age 17.Senior/12th grade +5 And +6 = age 17 and age 18.CollegeFreshman age 18 and 19Sophomore age 19 and age 20Junior age 20 and age 21Senior age 21 and age 22So there are 2 ages per each grade. So if you hear a grade ( 8th grade) just add +5 And +6 And that the age of the students. So 8th grader are 13 and 14.Also if there birthday is early August they will remain at the older end of that age range e.g 8th grade age 14. While if there birthday is Late May-July they will remain the younger end of that age range e.g 8th grade age 13. If there birthday is Mid August-Late May they are in the middle of the age range. So they will be both age range. E.g 8th grade age 13 and 14.Remember not every state has the Same cut off it varies by state to state. So 14 year old are 8th grade or 9th grade.

I HATE My Grades Right Now?!?!?!?

damn i feel sorry for you when you enter college

Why are my grades dropping so much =[?

Hi...

I'm really upset about my grades. My whole life, I've never been the one to fit in. Never dated, or done drinking or any of the stuff anybody else did. But I had great grades. I had the luxury of being able to tell myself: "I may not be ok now but I'll be better down the road." I had something that made me stand out- i had something that made me feel special. It was all I had.

But this year, my junior year, my grades have plummeted. And it's not a 5 point drop or a 10 point drop. In some of my classes, my grades dropped so much as SIXTEEN POINTS. And granted, I'm taking very challenging Advanced Placement courses, but even last year, I had high-90s in those classes. I try my best, I study my brains out, and I've been getting low-mid 80s in some of my classes.

I feel like I don't have a reason for living... not in a suicidal way. But... if I don't have good grades I have no future and since my present is wasted... god I'm just so disappointed in myself... I know that I know this material and I KNOW I try my best but my grades lately have not been showing it =[

Everyone in my grade hates me now?

Ok so I'm starting freshman year and this boy cheated on me and dumped me for another girl,
I started crying about it in school and my friend was trying to comfort me by saying "don't worry she looks like a sloth' anyways so on twitter i was dumb enough to type "I hate you I seriously do... and you do look a little bit like a sloth" and that was like 2 weeks ago and i completely forgot about it and the girl retweeted it and now everyone is sending me hate on twitter and it's annoying me and these girls are the girls that everyone likes and i'm scared to go to school
