I was out of school for a while with shingles and need some help 1. No and no. The Democrats already thwarted Bernie once and theyll do it again. Not to mention Bernie would be nearing 80 in 2020 and I doubt not only that he would willingly run or that he would get the nomination. He made his point and showed Democrats there was a way to run successfully from the left. Democrats, being Democrats, will of course ignore that and run someone they think will appeal to moderate voters by nominating a centrist (e.g.: bland, inoffensive and boring…like Tim Kaine) who will lose. Like an alcoholic who hasn't hit rock bottom yet Democrats will continue to make the same mistakes and refuse to admit there is a problem.As for breaking up the Two Party System, it always astonishes me how cavalierly people toss that around, as if it were so easily done. Well it isn't. If you were involved with a local chapter of a political party you would quickly realize how much work happens at the local level. You need serious dedicated foot soldiers doing the work of the party. It takes time, effort, and money. That's why the DSA elected to work within the Democratic Party, why the Tea Party works within the Republican Party. People aren't going to walk away from those finely tuned machines for a startup party. If starting a third party were easy it would have happened by now. The last successful enduring third party was the Republicans, who broke away from the Whigs in the 1850’s. That was 160+ years ago. Think about that for a moment and let that sink in. NOT GONNA HAPPEN!
