Why do people stereotype muslims as terrorists all the time?
muslims are not only from arab... but yet when someone mentions 'muslims', people start picturing a man with a turban and a woman in a hijab. arabs are arabs and it doesn't make them a muslim.... muslim is a religion not a race!
Why is there so much hate between Hindus and Muslims in India?
I will speak only for myself!Yesterday I attended a Muslim wedding as the bride and the groom both happen to be my schoolmates and it's a love marriage.Scene 1:Bride's dad show up.Friend 1: Hello uncle. Uncle: Hi.Friend 2 (Prajapathi): As-salamu walekum. Uncle: Waalaikum salaam.Me: Namaste uncle. Uncle: Namaste beta.Scene 2:Bride's brother turns up.“Veg is upstairs. Have soon before the non-vegetarians (he meant Muslims) invade veg counters”. He accompanied us and made sure we tasted every dish.Scene 3:All the male guests hugged the hosts. Brahmin, lingayat, Muslim, Christian,Prajapathi, Gowda. Every damn person.More than 50% of the guests were Hindus.Do you see any hate here!?I am neither proud of any of the above instances because this is how it is supposed to be.I have changed 7 schools, 2 colleges, 8 houses, 6 different localities over past 25 years and have not witnessed any actions that shows hate towards any religion or community.We are brahmins. My dad's best friend is a Christian. My best friend is a Muslim. And my mom…well she doesn't have many friends.The majority of commoners in India are living a peaceful life with the other religions.There is a problem of mis-interpretation among the masses and the media is very well aware of this.We hate those who preach against hinduism, we do not hate Muslims.We hate those who slaughter cows. We do not hate Muslims.We hate those who destroy temples. We do not hate Muslims.We hate those who spread terror/violence. We do not hate Muslims.P.S: This is what I have heard. Correct me if I am wrong. Who are Hindus? All the citizens of Hindustan are Hindis. It seems even in Mecca the Indian Muslims who go for pilgrimage are/were addressed as “Hindis” because they are from Hindustan.It's my nation. It's your nation. Why do people want to enforce their religion on others?
I can’t speak for others, but I believe that to offer Jesus Christ to someone is to offer them the greatest treasure they could possibly receive. Jesus offers eternal life, a new identity, a peaceful conscience, a friend, a brother, the one trustworthy person who is always looking out for your best interest. He offers you satisfaction for the main reason you exist.I sincerely believe that people will benefit by receiving Jesus, and that missing out on Jesus is missing out on the last lifeboat from a sinking ship, or missing out on a winning lottery ticket, or meeting your soulmate, getting nervous, and never saying hello. It is not that I am personally miffed, but that I am witness to a tragedy.Often I see people offended and angry at the offer of Jesus, resenting the fact that they hear about it so much, but I don’t really know what to tell them. The personal consequences are so dire that we would be remiss to not tell you.My goal is not to badger anyone. Nor is it to defend my own ego or my own choices. It just feels like standing next to a friend who you think is about to make the biggest mistake of their life and being powerless to stop them.Yet, at the end of the day, people have to make their own choices and deal with their consequences. If you miss out on Jesus, it truly is your loss.

Does religion promote stability for our society?
I think it helps some to make better decisions but at the same time causes others to be completely irrational. It is more dependent on the person. I think if you are an irrational person you will just be irrational when it comes to religion as well and vice versa. Now if people were to actually follow the tenets and do the whole forgiving and not judging thing then yes it would help but nobody really does.

Muslims, please answer...what does the quran really say?
I am married to a muslim man, I am christian. He wants me to convert but isn't forcing it, he just thinks its best for me. His family (parents) totally disagrees with our marriage, and his mother even told me that our marriage is haraam since I am not muslim. But i thought it was okay for muslim men to marry a christian. The quran says its okay, she says its not okay. which one is it? Im trying to understand the religion of islam, but i find some things that doesnt make sense, almost like contradictions. please don't be offended, i just want insight. For example, muhammed in the quran says not to kill anyone. but he killed many himself?!?!?!?! Then my husband says if i become muslim i must wear a headscarf, but someone who is muslim at work says the quran does not say women have to wear a headscarf. I'm really confused because i don't know what to go by. One muslim says this another says that. is it a lack of understanding in there own religion, or a matter of convenience? i just find a lot of inconsistencies and contradictions that makes it harder for me to accept this religion.
