Are Tank Tops Popular Among Girls In India

Why are tank tops not so popular among Indian women?

Tank tops are one of the greatest of the inventions. Period. They are optimal if you wear them during the scorching heat. I live in Delhi and its freaking 45 degrees here. I’m itching to wear a tank top. But I won’t.I stopped wearing tank tops 2 years ago. Reason:People stared at my breasts shamelessly. They undress you with their disgusting stare. Right from a 16 year old teenage boy to a 60 year old man.You cannot travel in a public transport wearing a tank top. Once I was sitting in a local bus, and a man was standing besides me with mobile in his hands. Yes, you guessed it right. He was recording my cleavage. He was caught. He was beaten. But still, it disgusts you to the core. He was a middle aged man, he was a married man.You get out of your house in a jolly mood to meet up with your friends and go to Chandni Chowk to savor all the delicacies. So far so good. Suddenly you’re being catcalled by some perverts. Because I was wearing a tank top, the strips of my bra were visible on my shoulder area. That was demeaning. My father didn’t like me wearing sleeveless dresses.Thousands of such incidents. Yes you should wear the outfits in which you are comfortable. But here, at least in Delhi, you have to pay a price for it.Message to all the perverts:How would you feel if your own mother or sister had to go through such an ordeal.

Do you think that girls who wear spaghetti strap tank tops and short shorts are slutty?

nope..
your actions are what put you in the slut category, not the way you dress..

Is it safe for two indian girls to travel to turkey alone?

my cousin and i are heading to antalya, alanya in turkey at the start of august. She is 24 and I am 18, and we are very modern indian girls as we live in england. However we're worried that once we get there, people will think that we are natives and are dressing inappropriately for their culture.

Any advice on the topic?

Also, any tips for the area? Thanks

Persian/Arab girls and Pakistani girls?

i know people may call me a race monger for this...but i think that pakistanis feel the brunt of discrimination a lot more than persians or arab families....and cling to their religion/culture alot more

not only that..but the pakistani community really didnt begin to establish themselves in America until much later...say early 90s....persians and arabs have been in the united states alot longer than that...when the history between the middle east/america may have been a bit different

and another thing...when persian and arab culture have always been much more exposed to western culture...you could say that many arab countries have gone through periods of westernization...that is also true for Iran....things are of course are changing now as we speak....

back to Pakistan....the country of Pakistan didnt even exist before the late 1940s..is called the "Islamic Republic" for a reason..they were escaping religious persecution from India and wanted to form their own nation based on Islamic principals..... history between India/Pakistan has always been turbulent...when you have that type of history its going to cause people to cling more to their religion...ie culture....
In Pakistan a woman's rep is extremely important so naturally you will find women dressed in a way that is more conservative...traditions die hard..so when families come to America..they believe their women should be covered up....

just my opinion..not an argument..not a thesis..my scrambled opinion

forgot to add...many persians and arabs (lebs, syrians, palestinians) are identifiable as "white"...so they are more accepted by mainstream america...because they are accepted..they dont have such hostility to american culture...

however..pakistanis arent easily as assimilated....many may THINK they are white...but they are not....and naturally discrimination will cause you to question and even reject your host's cultural norms
