Are The Lice In My Bed Dead

I have dead lice egg in my hair what can i do?

I understand completely about how you feel. That has happened to me before too!

Okay, so first you might want to go to the store to get a lice&egg comb. Make sure they have metal bristles, NOT plastic.
Dampen your hair, and separate your hair into 1inch pieces. I did this by tieing the pieces seperately up with hairties.
Then, start combing! One by one piece, comb it through real good. Make sure you are doing this over your bathtub, so that if any dead lice eggs come out, they can be easily washed away. Also, dont forget, after every few pieces, dunk the comb into a hot bucket of water that you should set aside you. This way, you wont be combing other dead lice eggs into different parts of your hair.
After you are done all the pieces of your hair, wash your hair with your shampoo and conditioner. Optionaly, you can wash it with lice repelant shampoo.
I hope I helped!
God bless.
PS: Make sure you set a few hours in your schelude, because doing the above can take a while!

Do I have bed bugs? Fleas? or Lice?

For the past several nights and even during the day I feel small pinprick like bites in various spots on my body...mostly around the face area. I don't see any visible bite marks, but still feel like there is something on my skin. At night in bed I feel this all through the night..again mostly on and around my face area. My dog seems to be affected in the same way visibly scratching around the eyes, nose and muzzle. I can find no evidence of lice, fleas, or bed bugs so far, but there something definitely crawling and biting me. Could someone shed some light on this for me and perhaps offer a solution to the problem?? Thanks.

I want those bed bugs dead but I do I have to get rid of my new mattress?

You do not have to get rid of the mattress. But I can tell you how to get rid of bed bugs.

Wash all your bedding items with HOT HOT water, and use a steam cleaner on the mattress and floor (if is carpeted). When completed dried, puff BedBugPowder all over the mattress included all the creases.

Sprays and bombs works only for temporary. I have used them once, but bed bugs came back in a few days. But BedBugPowder worked very well on our bed, and we have not had any bites since I started using it.

It is no chemical contained, and 100% humans and animal safe.
Good luck!!

Lately, I realized that I have head lice, and there are a lot of them. I live in hostels, and I wanted to get rid of it without telling my parents about it. I only have a nit comb, so how much time is the fastest to get rid of them?

First, make sure you’re really dealing with head lice. Many folks who see bugs in the hair conclude that they’ve discovered head lice. Sometimes, they’re right, but often they’re not.You only have a nit comb? If your hair is fairly short and untangled, you might remove all traces of lice (and their eggs) in just minutes. If your hair is long, curly, knotted, or would otherwise make it difficult to pass a comb through, then toss that comb. It’ll offer little benefit. Relying upon such a comb would simply cause you pain and waste time.Assuming you do have head lice, does it matter which is the ‘fastest’ method to rid yourself of these beasts? An expert barber or beautician can shave your scalp hair in just a few minutes. An inexpert one can do that as well, but might leave you with scars. That’s fast, but it is also an overly aggressive response. There’s rarely any justification to shave one’s head because of head lice. Many of the over-the-counter and prescription anti-louse products are applied for just about 10 minutes, then rinsed out. A single application can, in many cases, kill all the lice. Generally, these treatments don’t kill the developing eggs, so a second application tends to be needed about 10 days after the initial treatment. That should be expected to eradicate head lice from most persons. These treatments don’t remove the dead or hatched eggs, but that’s not needed. Any remaining eggs (or ‘nits’) are merely inanimate artifacts. If lice continue to present after such treatment, then those lice might be insensitive (or resistant) to the product applied. In that case, one should consider a product containing a different class of active ingredient.

Can a lice comb work as a flea comb?

My cat has fleas bad and I just gave her a bath and there's a ton of dead fleas on her. As far as fine toothed combs all I have is a lice comb, will this work as a substitute flea comb?

I found a dead flea in my bed?

My dog has been sleeping in my bed, and today when i was washing my sheets, i saw a little black bug, that kinda looked like a flea? and it was dead. i treat my dog monthy with frontline. is it normal to find one dead flea? will i get fleas? will washing my bedding kill any if they're on my sheets??

Should i still sleep in my bed if i have lice? or shouls i just not sleep and wait until the lice dies out?

I've had lice before and I had them for a couple weeks. It's absolutely not true that they die after 2 days, and they never die out. Honestly. Lice are parasites and what you have to do is buy lice/nit killing shampoo and then go through your hair (or have someone else do it) and get out all the nits in your hair, or the eggs that they stick to your hair. You have to use your nails to get them off. You can sleep in your bed but make sure that you wash your sheets before you sleep in them again (once you've used the shampoo and taken care of the nits). Also make sure to vaccum everywhere in your house afterwards.
But a white bug in your hair probably isn't lice, it could be larvae but lice are usually brown and as big as ants.

How long can head lice live in laundry?

Per my extensive research, which leaves me itching uncontrollably, it seems that a live louse itself does not live long when it's off a host (consensus seems to be around 24 hours) - HOWEVER - for bedding, hats, clothing, carpet, etc, the live lice aren't exactly the issue. The nits are.Once laid, it takes 7-10 days for a nit to hatch. Nits off the head may not even hatch at all as they are laid close to scalp because they need human warmth to incubate. A nit hatching off of a head results in tiny nymph head louse which, without an accessible/nearby human, is doomed because it requires an immediate blood meal.Adult head lice off of their human hosts will generally not survive for more than 24 hours.(via FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions)Those bad boys are pretty resistant and can hatch much later. If you can't wash and dry in hot temps the bedding, you'll have to bag it up and leave it bagged for two weeks (!!!!). For example, hats, scarves, pillow cases, bedding, clothing, and towels worn or used by the infested person in the 2-day period just before treatment is started can be machine washed and dried using the hot water and hot air cycles because lice and eggs are killed by exposure for 5 minutes to temperatures greater than 53.5°C (128.3°F). Items that cannot be laundered may be dry-cleaned or sealed in a plastic bag for two weeks. Items such as hats, grooming aids, and towels that come in contact with the hair of an infested person should not be shared. Vacuuming furniture and floors can remove an infested person's hairs that might have viable nits attached.(via CDC - Lice - Head Lice - Treatment)
