Are There Any Ancient Structures That Defy Explanation

Can strict creationism explain the blood types. A, B, AB, O, and the + and - variations?

it is entirely irrelevant.

Strict creationists will come up with something to explain any kind of human diversity - after all, we were created just as we are, complete with an appendix.

Like most non-fundamentalist Christians, I have little interest in arguments about creation and evolution. The Creation stories are not science texts; they are teaching stories about certain ancient peoples' perception of the relationship between God and humanity.

Ancient cultures built some structures that incorporated astronomical information A friend tries to argue that some of these structures are evidence of "ancient astronauts" or visits by intelligent aliens. How would you argue against this idea?

“Sometimes news comes from the inside” — Joan of ArcJoan of Arc received revelations from God via the heavenly beings: the archangel Michael, and Saints Catherine and Margaret.News/information can be passed on to humans, from the god(s) through dreams and visions, or through heavenly being “messengers”.Example (Paraphrased):Jesus asked the disciple Simon Peter, “Who do the people say that I am?”.Peter replied: “Some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, some say another prophet of Old”.Jesus replied, “But who do you say that I AM?”Peter said, “You are the Messiah. The Son of God”.Jesus replied, “Blessed are you Simon Bar-Jonah, for it is not man that has revealed this to you, but rather, my Father in heaven.”ALSO:Mary Magdalene, an important figure in the New Testament, and personal companion of Jesus Christ, is said to have lived out the last 30 years of her life in France in an “ivory tower” i.e. a cave, where she devoted herself to heavenly contemplation. Per the “Golden Legend”, a Medieval account of the lives of the saints, Mary was taken up into the lower heavens daily by angels, then brought back to her gave at night. As you may have seen on t.v., or read, King Solomon is thought to perhaps have flown his magic carpet above the earth to map the continents. But could Mary Magdalene have done this? Why? Perhaps to leave as an evangelization tool for future generations, to help them plan out how to reach the people of the earth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is ancient architecture?

Ancient architecture are buildings and structures built during the ancient period.. mostly anything built by early civilizations. It is a very wide spectrum depending on the place. Buildings and structures found in Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt are considered ancient architecture as well as anything built during pre-historic times.

What were the the differences between the ancient Egyptian architecture and the ancient greek architecture?

Differences

Greeks
--softer stones like limestone easier to carver
--most buildings above ground
--columns often done in sections and stacked
--sculpture is individual and specifically human in honoring the nude and semi nude form
--stones are large but nothing on the scale of Egyptian structures
--sites often chosen for height, closeness to a view, position of power
--vaulted ceilings like beehive tombs
--statues are of gods and heroes and philosophers--people of political thought. Not so much kings or leaders
--lots of use of post and lintel construction, using columns as posts
--

Egyptians
--worked basalt and granite--some of the hardest stone there is
--lots of tunneling and below ground structures with tubes and holes that defy explanation.
--larger stone monoliths than the Greeks like obelisks and solid stone statues
--carving into the face of a mountain to create a building, like the temple of Hapsetshut and Abu Simbel
--largest structures in the world to include the pyramids
--buildings more likely to revolve around astronomy and constellations
---large burial tombs for royalty and also extensive caves carved like the Valley of the Kings
--extensive carving of hierolglyphics on the sides of buildings and columns.
--sculptures include gods with symbolic animal heads and standardized representations of pharaohs and others.

Should ancient ruins be allowed to be restored to how they appeared in their heyday? If so, when?

I’d love it if they restored one tiny part so we can see what these ruins used to look like. For instance, when I was growing up I loved seeing the pictures of the ancient tomb interiors in Egypt. I had no idea they were once painted! I think there would be nothing wrong with painting one part of the pictures so we could see how they looked when they were first done. And the Coliseum? What about the Parthenon? What we see are the skeletal remnants of what was. How can we imagine them without seeing one? Just one column, one seating area. What about the Greek statues? I myself can’t imagine what they once looked like painted in vibrant colors.Yes, keeping ruins safe is so very important. But what if we made that history more accessible to others? What if we could see the color and form that had been at one time? What if a column or the walls of a palace were raised? Just to see it again as it was. That I would love.Oh! They should recover the pyramids of Giza. Cover them as they were, all smooth and white and replace the golden tip. That would be amazing to see.

Why not rebuild the ancient ruins?

Quoting George McBride's answer to Should ancient Greek temple ruins be rebuilt to their former glory? if that helps“Rebuilding (to make extensive repairs) of ancient ruins should be judged on a case by case basis. It also depends on the availability and expert choices of construction materials, colors/paints/dyes, style/design etc that are chosen and expertise in restoration craftsmanship. Overall to do or not to do depends on the amount of "rebuilding" that would be required. Few people are happy with too much rebuilding and readily accept a good degree of restoration that brings the ancient object back into some form of aesthetic shape/condition you can empathize with.”
