Are There Any Driving Simulators Left In Uk Des Anyone Know Where They Are

Riverside East DMV?

GOSH three questions about taking a driving test..

If you feel comfortable driving you should be able to pass the test.

IF you are not comfortable at this time behind the wheel suggest you delay the test.

The world does not grind to halt if you fail the test. You practice some more and just try again. The test is not hard or complex. You show you can change lanes, make turns, park and merge on and off major roads.

DO NOT try to drive EXACTLY the speed limit. Go a little under for your test. 29 MPH in a 30 zone is a pass 31 is a fail.

One of the first things an examiner may do is ask you about some of the knobs, buttons or gauges in your car, KNOW them for the car you have for the exam.

You are not expected to be a car technician but you should know things like the fuel gauge, the light switch and so on.

RELAX it is just a driving test. It takes many years to be real good driver in all conditions.

You have years to learn the bad habits other do. For 20 minutes just do it the way it is supposed to be done.

The DMV examiner will ride with you only to make sure that you can drive safely and obey traffic laws.
Your driving test will last about 20 minutes. The test consists of basic actions you will encounter while driving, such as:

Left and right turns. STAY IN THE CORRECT LANE after the turn.
Stops at controlled and uncontrolled intersections. STOP means STOP
Straight line backing.
Lane changes.
Driving in regular street traffic.
Driving on the freeway (if required).

DMV wants you to pass your driving test. Relax and do your best.

WARNING the examiner can take you on any route they decide. DO NOT try to memorize some test route you find online.

DO NOT EXPECT this route. There are many and the examiner can at any time create a new route.

The test ENDS AFTER you park back at DMV Many fail this last minute with either speeding or a bad park.

Why don’t oncoming drivers today warn others about speed traps ahead? My Dad taught me to turn your lights on/off 3-5 times so oncoming traffic sees your warning & knows to slow down. I’m not sure anyone gets this, let’s bring it back!

I have a lead foot. So…I hit cruise control about 3 MPH over the limit, mostly because speedometers are pretty much “all” wrong about 2 feet after the vehicle leaves the factory.Very rarely do I see “speed traps” except on the freeways, and since I’m either A) driving for work or B) riding with my kid I’m usually the lone person anywhere near the “speed limit” anyways.I’ve heard the saying “less than 8 and you’re great”, referring to the alleged “if you’re 8 miles per hour over the limit” but it seems most folk do that in the marked school zones I travel through, daily.I disagree with posted speed limits, but I also don’t have a spare $150 to “protest” them. And actually it’s more once one factors in the auto insurance increase.Yeah, I’m that weirdo who isn’t exceeding the “limit” by much (I do the 3–4 because those “speed trailers” put in areas by resident request claim I need to do that to hit the sign numbers) and I even stop at those 8 pointed signs which are red at intersections, count to two, then usually have to stop again because I didn’t roll right through. If you want to speed, have fun. I really don’t care if you do unless it’s endangering other drivers, you’re risking your own wallet after all. And, if I’m driving for work, I don’t have a choice, the current vehicles have “Governors”, and the only reason they can hit 72 is the request put in after State Route 33 increased the “Limit” to 70 once one passes Dublin…for about a month we were stuck at 67.Warning folk of speed traps? While there are occasionally parked police vehicles in places of frequent fast car driving, I tend to see those right past “School Zones” during the posted hours. If one can’t see the “yellow flashing lights” advising one that the limit is now 20 MPH, or chooses to ignore those (I’ve been passed in them, on the right, in a lane that’s ending as a bonus, while getting dirty looks from the driver…) then one deserves a ticket. There’s a sign where the “Zone” ends and I can’t tell you how many days I’ve seen a vehicle pulled over, right before the “sign” because they assumed the school’s driveway meant they could hop back up to 35 (or 50 which is what most people drive on that road).Yeah, my Dad used to warn people of speed traps. It wasn’t uncommon to see people flashing lights in years gone past warning folk of “road pirates ahead” but…most folk are too busy texting to make a warning or to receive one if given, so why bother?

Why do many people (including the Americans who left the US) say that living in the US is hard and that leaving the country was the best choice they ever made?

As a low income American that worked multiple jobs that just covered rent, utilities and health insurance, I can assure you I was scraping the barrel of third world living conditions, my house was ruined, we had no hot water, no heat, and barely enough for food. It cost me $25,000 a year to survive, barely survive. For the same amount of money in the UK I have a home, all utilities paid, cable WiFi and landline, a cellphone, health care, transportation, a whole months shopping for groceries and money left over. I also get 15 free hours of child care for my children and 28 paid vacation days. I have never lived better in my life. Some wealthy person is going to say the US is easy, well for lower class people it's a nightmare. I don't have time to put the links but Google the following.51 percent of Americans earn less than $30,000 a year.Only 0.01% of minimum wage workers can afford a 2 bedroom apartment at fair market rentThe average minimum wage worker needs 2.5 jobs to have a two bedroom apartment at fair market rentLow income Americans can't afford 95% of colleges. Our healthcare, infant and mother mortality rankings. When you are poor you are left with nothing, there may be programs but they are extremely limited, hard to get, usually you are denied several times until you give up. As someone who just barely survived I got SNAP. I fed my family on over a hundred dollars a month, that does not last.I eventually had to get Medicaid when my job closed up, but nothing in the form of cash benefits.First, second and third world reside within the US, your income depends on what your reality is.

Is it legal for a landlord to ask me to place a sticker in the middle of my car's winshield?

YOU are not allowed to put something on the windshield that interferes with your vision. So he can't ask that of you either. Why not stick it to the sun visor or the sun visor level which would be fine or where the rear view mirror is, so that does not interfere with your driving vision. The landlord needs to see whether your car is suppose to park there. NO sticker and you get towed.

Where do your viewpoints fall on the left-right political spectrum/compass?

I am decidedly quite left-wing. However, I tend to be more practical about my views, and believe in making reasonable compromises that are actually attainable, rather than trying and failing to obtain my ideals in reality. However, in terms of my ideals, I am:for the legalization of prostitution and narcotics. They should be government regulated and controlled, but should not be illegal in any manner.for social democracy (aka ‘The Nordic Model’); I feel that capitalism is the most effective economic system, but requires strong government intervention to maximize effects for the whole population, and not just a select few.for a criminal justice system that favours rehabilitation over punishment (as in Norway); I am absolutely against the death penalty in all circumstances.pro-choice; believing that a woman’s control over her body should not be interfered with in any way. Her body, her decision.for gun control. I believe that the Second Amendment is a mistake, and gun ownership should be a privilege a person earns, rather than a right they have. I believe gun ownership should be licensed in a similar manner to driving a vehicle: you demonstrate to a qualified and certified professional that you know how to properly use, clean, store, and operate a firearm before you are allowed to purchase or possess one.for egalitarianism, in effectively all forms. Equal treatment for people, regardless of gender, race, religion, sexuality, or gender identity (or any other qualifier).pro-science. This really shouldn’t need to be mentioned, but it does.atheist.anti-war. I understand there are absolutely circumstances in which war is necessary and inevitable, but feel it should be used only in the absolute last resort.for universal health care. I believe these systems are cheaper and more effective than other systems, and provide aid to the poorest in society that they might not have otherwise.I’m not sure if I missed anything, but if I did, you can rest assured that I’m almost certainly on the left side of it.

How can the UK honestly view their healthcare as better than that of the US?

Look, let me make this clear for Brits that answer this question repeating things they’ve heard in their media, but without first hand experience, without really understanding. The American healthcare system sucks because you can lose your health insurance BECAUSE you are too sick to work. That’s right, YOU CAN LOSE YOUR HEALTH INSURANCE BECAUSE YOU ARE SICK. Health insurance is tied to employment and if you get sick enough so that you can’t work, you very may well lose your health insurance.I was just here at a seminar today in Hawaii where it was explained that the State of Hawaii kindly requires employers to continue providing health insurance to sick individuals for THREE MONTHS after someone has lost their job because they are too sick to work. THREE MONTHS. That means that that if you don’t have a working spouse with health insurance for you to sign into, you could be losing health insurance right when you are in the midst of your major illness. This means that you are vulnerable if you have a stay at home spouse, are single, or are divorced.Furthermore, if you lose your health insurance in the midst of your illness, you now have a PRE-EXISTING condition that will mean that no other health insurance will take you on. Now these are worst case scenarios. There ARE many employers that do not drop sick employees that can’t work from health insurance merely because the law allows it. Many understand the inhumanity of that and specifically don’t do it. But not all.Obamacare was designed to provide a means to obtain insurance for folks in exactly these situations and pre existing conditions cannot be used to exclude you from insurance under Obamacare, but the system can be very difficult to use, especially outside of its open season for enrolling. And the premiums are extremely expensive. Just to be clear, U.S. senior citizens get universal healthcare from the government from 65 years old. The poor who have little or nothing get universal healthcare from the government. Also, children under 18 get universal healthcare in most states from the government, if their parents can’t provide it.But, for everybody else you need to handle your own health insurance arrangements and spend your own money on premiums and/or medical fees until you go broke, if need be, and then you can receive medical insurance from the government because you are broke. THATS why the U.S. health insurance system sucks.

Does China have cars?

It' hard to have one car in Shenzhen, China.Every morning I go to my office by bus and return home by bus too . My god those are the two uncomfortable experiences that I can't bear any more in my daily life, because the crowd in the carriage is what you can not imagine, sometimes i can sense the cold of the bus’s gate by my cheek .The green bus is that that I take everyday , they are waiting for green light .(According to Shenzhen bus group’s website , there are 5248 bus running in Shenzhen everyday . Almost all of them are pure electric bus.)So why don't I go to office by metro ?This is a map of running lines in Shenzhen right now. If you once go to office by metro at work day in Shenzhen, I can bet you will choose bus next time . Metro is more crowded than bus.So Why don't I buy one car to avoid the crowded public vehicles? After all, one car is not that expensiveThis picture photographed at the urban area of Shenzhen. As you can see, the speed of those cars is very slow because of the heavy traffic. Actually traffic jams are a serious problem in many Chinese cities because there are way too many cars. (according to Shenzhen government’s website, there are 3.4 million cars in Shenzhen city right now). The governor of Shenzhen city chooses to restrict the quantity of cars that run in Shenzhen by restricting the supply of the ID that every car needs to have. So let's see what will happen if I want to buy a car in Shenzhen :I should apply for one ID for the car I would buy to the Shenzhen government . And wait for a reply.every three months 5k lucky people will get their ID for their cars by lottery from 700k applicants . Yeah 5k people from 700k applicants every three month. If I am lucky, after I get an ID I will go and buy a car.Another way to get an ID is to buy an electric car . According to Shenzhen’s law I can get a green ID without lottery if I buy an electric car. (In China, the price of a traditional car is about 100k yuan while an electric car is about 170k yuan)( BYD Tang with a green ID. Traditional cars will get a blue ID, a green ID is for electric cars )Every three months 5k lucky people get an ID by lottery from 700k applicants , it's hard for an applicant to get what they want. So it's hard to have a car in Shenzhen not because we don't have cars but because we have way too many cars.
