My dream area to live would be a suburb area in Los Angeles, California. After college in Massachusetts, I plan on living there forever. What is it like to live there? I'm from a very small town in Virginia, so what would it be like for me? The pros and cons.

Well I found the KoreanBookCenter.US for Korean books in Korean, educational toys and books in English, K-pop magazines, a selection of music books (e.g., Alfred, Piano Adventures, Suzuki, Bastien, J. Johnson, etc.), and I'm not sure what else. They are a bookstore but I've only ordered online so far. They're offering free shipping until December so they've made the prices online the same as prices in-store. However, they are a bit pricey.
I don’t know of a single bookstore - independent or not - in El Monte. Much as it is a food desert, it is also a food for the mind desert. Glad I don’t live there any more.

Sorry, illegal in Cali, (outlaw politicians!) You can go to Nevada and get one. It's legal to "move" here with them as long as they are spayed/neutered. My friends have them and that's what they did. Consider rescue. There are lots that need homes. And, do lots of research, they are like cats, and completely different. For happy healthy pets, you need knowledge. Good Luck

There used to be several businesses/stores in LA that would help you sell your stuff on eBay for a cut of the sale, but I just did a search and I'm not really finding that many stores anymore. I suggest you try the music section in the university book store at USC or UCLA or one of the other local college campuses in the area. I would think that these specialty type stores would carry them in the LA area. Before making the long drive you could always call the school in advance just to make sure. Although I've lived in LA for years I bought my batons, both the corked handle fiberglass one and the wood one, at the SMU campus book store in Dallas. And I've bought several to give as gifts from the campus book store of TCU in Fort Worth. So I would think any large campus that had a major school of music should carry them in the music section of their book stores.
