What air force jobs can i get with my asvab score?

Hello Lance.

Your scores are very high. They are all higher than all the jobs minimums in the Air Force. The AF can assign you to ANY job they want because you qualify for them all.

Your AFQT is very high. You only needed a 36% to be eligible to enter the AF.

NOW. Hear this. There are NO enlisted jobs in the AF that translate to "high paying civilian jobs."

Only being a Military Policeman, or plumber, or electrician, or construction man has the civilian job potential for military to civilian experience. But, I don't see any of these jobs being over $40,000 a year.

IF you want to be an Air Traffic Controller you do not want to be a military Air Traffic Controller. You will be wasting 4 years because Military ATC and Civilian FAA ATC are different.

IF you want to be a civilian ATC with the FAA you need to attend the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City. They will train you the correct way to control CIVILIAN airline traffic.

The military will train you to control military traffic. Two different animals.

You want to be FAA civilian controller? Start here:

If I have no prior air traffic control experience and want to be selected, what must I do?

Be a United States citizen
In most cases, not have reached age 31
Pass a medical examination
Pass a security investigation
Have three years of progressively responsible work experience and/or a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, or some combination of the two
Achieve a score of at least 70 on the FAA pre-employment test
Speak English clearly enough to be understood over communications equipment
Complete an interview

Know, get back to me about what you think about ATC.
Civilian or Military: which one? Do you have a Bachelor's Degree ? 3 years work experience with promotions?
How old are you?

Once you can answer this question: about ATC and your willingness to do something else in the Air Force then we can proceed to discuss options.

Remember: The NEEDS of the Air Force come before the WANTS of the Individual.

Best wishes,

Larry Smith
Senior Master Sergeant, USAF (Ret.)
First Sergeant

Are there any jobs for 14 year olds in Chandler, AZ?

Harkins and AMC Theaters hire at 14 1/2. Each of my boys started working at these theaters when they were this age.

You also might try:

+Veterinarian clinics
+car washes
+arcades

Each of these places are great for teenagers, and offer great pay. Places like Fiddlesticks are great because of the pay and incentives. Movie theaters offer incentives like passes and movie posters and other stuff for good productivity and attendance.

The only thing you really have to worry about is the times you work, cuz some places take advantage of young teens, and do not follow Child Labor Laws.

Good luck! There are jobs out there for you-just keep asking!

Are there any jobs, anywhere?

I'm also a college student on summer break. You might want to consider doing what I have been doing-freelance work over the internet. I am a freelance writer and while the pay isn't amazing, it is much higher than fast food. From your question, I think you are good enough to get in at some of the sites I work for.

A few places you might want to look at:

www.textbroker.com
www.ecopywriters.com
www.skyword.com
www.associatedcontent.com

Is there any real typing based online jobs?

Very rare......I am stating this because in my college days i tried to figure out the same from the internet but got duped twice. 80-90% of the typing jobs will ask you to deposit/pay some money because of various non-sensible reason like giving licence of the tool, registration at their website, background checks etc. which are all nothing but to seek some money and either run away immediately or give excuses and seek more money. Few things which I feel to be checked by job-seekers can be - Ask the employer to invest himself initially and later deduct from your salary, if he agrees.Visit the website and explore it thoroughly. Check for the contact names and numbers and google them to get more information.Try to avoid jobs from advertising platforms like olx etc.. as most of the duping agencies will post a number with a fancy ad (specially with a girl name like miss komal, ria123, miss pooja etc.)  as they understand Indian mentality.Ask him to give contact number of previous co-workers so that you can validate them and if possible do try to physically meet him/her.Hope it helps     :)

Why are there no VBA jobs out there when so many companies rely on it and it is so cheap and fast to build simple business automation solutions with VBA?

I work for a large UK company in the finance industry and we have tried a number of times to recruit programmers to support and develop our VBA applications. We probably have 1–10 million lines of code in our apps and shared libraries. Our programmers recognise that VBA is a poor language but this is what we have to use. Most of the candidates we get have very limited experience with VBA and no programming background. They fail even the most basic technical interviews. For example, in some cases the code we get doesn’t even work, and where it does it never meets best practice, eg is never documented (we would accept either code comments, or self documented code through meaningful variable names etc). There are lots of people who claim to know VBA, but those with the level of skill needed tend to prefer to program in other languages and so look down on VBA. It may be a poor language, but that doesn’t mean VBA programmers need to be poor programmers. In short, there are jobs out there. You just need to know where to look! Look in the finance industry.

Real data entry jobs online

With data entry telecommuting positions, employers want you to be able to type at least 40 to 50 W.P.M If you can type at this speed, then you have a couple of options. A lot of jobs have other things that the employers want to do. Not just Data Entry. I don't think if you were to walk into an office that you would tell the employer that you only want to type but not do anything else that they want you to do. If you do that, you won't be hired, right?
I recommend you read this article on home based jobs. There's a few places that if you think you meet their criteria, you may apply for the position.

Are there any decent paying jobs out there for verterans w/out a degree?

I'm not sure how many of these companies are in your area, but there are quite a few military/veteran friendly employers out there. Capital One and AT&T (also Home Depot, CVS) have good history with hiring/valueing veterans and their experience. BNSF Rail was recently ranked the number one employer of veterans.

Definitely check out military.com's Career Center. They have brought together a number of resources for veterans looking for jobs.

Check out www.GIJobs.net also.

Are there any truly 'legit' part-time work at home jobs out there?

There are various opportunities online. Due to technological advancement, many people opt to stay at home and find something that could generate income. Here are some online jobs that you can try:Virtual AssistantContent WriterSocial Media SpecialistWeb DeveloperOnline TutorOnline surveysVideo EditorBusiness AdminGraphic ArtistBloggingData Entry JobsFreelancingThere are many online sites as well by which you can find these jobs. But before going online, you should be equipped with the necessary tools and skills. Tools would include desktop computer, camera and good internet connection. Skills such as social media expertise, admin jobs, computer and good typing skills are also needed depending on the position you are applying for. The basic skill that you should learn though is touch typing because some employers would require a specific speed for you to qualify. Need not worry about this because there are lots of typing program for you to choose from. One good example for this is Typesy. So if you might want to go digital now, might as well develop the necessary skills as early as possible.
