You mean downloadable online-only flight simulators or flight simulators that have online multiplayer capability? There are a few I know of that are online-only and active like War Thunder, but I have not used them. Apparently it is not considered very high-fidelity. As for simulators that can be used online with Multiplayer, most of them have multiplayer capability, but the most popular ones are FSX and X-Plane for your boring civilian multiplayer stuff, and Falcon BMS and everything from DCS for the combat stuff. Some of the older sims are also still used on Hyperlobby, particularly IL2.

Why does free online 3D games have so bad quality?
Because games like Battlefield have years of development with hundreds of employees working on it and a million dollar + budget. Games you find online are created mainly for fun not profit plus they have little-no budget and are usually worked on by a couple people. Now not all free online games are bad however they cannot stack up to a game like BF or COD. Also keyword "free" , something you pay for will obviously be better than something free...
