Are There Any Single Black Atheist Women Without Kids

Jehovah's Witnesses, why are there so many single black sisters?

You are one of Jehovah's Witnesses and you are Black? Am I correct? Your avatar does not reflect an African-American person, although that may be irrelevant. Maybe it's just me and others who use avatars reflective of our real selves when we prefer not to use actual pictures.

Now to your question. First, I am a married black sister and my experiences are diametrically opposed to yours. So I guess it just depends on where you live. You mentioned marriage is a gift from Jehovah God, but singleness is also.

Why are some Black men get jealous when they see a Black women date interracially?

Personally I would suggest you take any black man to any prison and point out that black males make up about 10% of the country's male population but 50% of almost any jail. Then go to almost any college campus or at least look at a state's male college population and compare the numbers there to what we make up in that state. Now let's do the same for white males. How many white baby daddy's are out there that don't even claim theur kids or care if they are in their kids' lives? Let's look at the same statistic in blacks. We can take it to how many 21 - 28 year old single black males don't have rims on their cars, never been to jail, but own a home. Let's compare that to white males. I used to think we were making progress as a race, and that it was a few bad apples ruining the bunch. But the more I live the more I realize that there are very few white neighborhoods I would hate to get stuck in at night but in every city of over 250,000 people there are at least 5 black neighborhoods I need to write out a will for. I love my people, but I hate our bad habits.

Your opinions on why black fathers are most likely to leave?

I have heard that theory before as well. Historically it has truth to it, but that does not excuse the behavior of modern-day black men in this country. Probably, if anything, it has more to do with modern-day environmental factors than historical or "collective black consciousness" factors.

By environmental, I mean that many of the young black males grow up in an essentially fatherless environment, and then consequently when they are older they behave similarly. That is, they end up having children with different women, not being around much (or at all) for any of them. So it's more like a vicious circle. It has more to do with the culture of poverty than with history in my opinion. Because it's also seen in some white men (though probably not to the same extent, I'm not sure). Probably it's more of a social class issue, rather than a race issue.

If you are raised in an impoverished household with only a mom, and your siblings all have different dads, and you're raised in a poor area where that's the normal way things are for most of your friends as well, you are that much more likely to be a similar kind of man yourself when you grow up. It's that much more difficult for you to ever be a good father and family man yourself.

Also, there may be a possibility that some of this behavior is genetic. That is, a bad father basically passes on his own "bad genes" (alcoholism, criminality, etc) to his son(s). It's a possibility I think.

Why are black americans, especially black women, overwhelmingly religious?

Interesting question.

First of all, not every black woman is a "Jesus freak". Sounds like you have been running into many. So, for you to assume it is universal is understandable.

Second, speaking as a white male Christian, I have noticed since 1965 that black women tend to "dress up" more for church than white women. Some probably believe this is proper for worshiping God and worshiping Jesus. I can accept that. Some are probably more interested in interactions with other people than in their worship of God and end up sounding more religious to develop relationships. I do not see that as being wise.

Third, if you are hearing "umm .. okay" after you identify why you are an atheist (and, with the first amendment in the U.S. Constitution, you have the freedom to take this stand), then you may be speaking to a woman who is praying for you in her heart or to a woman ready to toss away eternal life for you (meaning that she really has not sacrificed her life to Jesus as Messiah.)

Please understand that few Christians are "Jesus freaks". And, using the words of my mother when I was 10 and baptized: "Sixty percent (of all the people who claim to be Christian)? Yeah, they're saved. Forty percent? No way." From what I have witnessed by visiting about fifty churches since 1970, I think my mother is pretty accurate.

My advice: Take a break and focus more on your occupation that on finding a wife for at least two months. And remember that there is a large number of interracial marriages (black men, white women) where the couples give up some advantages in exchange for a strong love and unity they have.
