Are There Many Mexican American Country Boys

Are there many Mexican American country boys?

Absolutely. Around Western NC at least, there are tons of Mexican & Honduran country people. A lot of them do manual labor and do stuff like construction and farming.

I got to know this Honduran girl where I worked, and after a while I realized she was totally country. She talked about raising all sorts of livestock and completely living off the land.

I also knew an Ecuadorian girl, and she said Mexican music (mariachi) was like the country music of Latin culture.

American living in Mexico?

My boyfriend, who is mexican, and I have been together for 5 years and have two boys together. We have an ok life here together, but he keeps telling me it woud be better in Mexico. He really wants us all to move there. How would a white, American girl who speaks no spanish do living in central mexico? Do you think it would be safe for my boys as well as myself?

Is it weird for white country boy to be with hispanic girl?

well i am a latina and i am dating an american white country boy. everytime i go somewhere with him white people stare a lot, and for me it's surprising because we are in 2011 interracial dating is not a big deal. not only it's white ppl staring but mexicans stare a lot as well. we went out on a date and there was another interracial couple mexican guy/white girl but they didn't receive any looks. is it that's just is just weird to see a country boy with a hispanic girl?

What do Mexicans think about Canadians?

Original question: What do Mexicans think about Canadians? Here we go again…What makes you think “Canada is not famous in Mexico” ?I am Mexican, I have been to several Canadian cities, several times to each…and on each and every trip I have had very very nice and enjoyable times, the same can be said of my family and friends who have accompanied me in many of those trips to Canada.Let me also tell you that I do have very good Canadian friends and even cousins who have married to Canadians !On the other hand, I also know many fellow Mexicans who do like Canada, for travels and for many other things that Canada has to offer: Skiing, Hockey, Alpine trips…cold ..lots of Canadian christmas trees that are send to Mexico and sold here every year.I would also dare to say that many people in here would even say that they like better Canadians to Americans (USA)… not my case, I love PEOPLE, not citizenships per se.Let me tell you a story I just recalled: I once drove with my wife from Long Island, New York, across Manhattan island, then through a large area of NY state up to the Niagara Falls area and into Ontario to finally get to Toronto. This was done in mid winter time, lots of snow, foggy and very very cold weather…When we got to the USA-Canada border, the Canadian border agents asked for our passports and upon seeing them and noticing that we were Mexicans, they guy starts calling his peers and suddenly we had about 5 persons from the Canadian border patrol (or whatever they are called) and they all started laughing hard, really hard…it was just after a few minutes that one of them -which seemed like the boss there- came to me and said:“Hey guys, you Mexicans, what are you doing here in the chilling freezing winter cold? ALL OF US, Canadians are down there IN THE MEXICAN Beaches ! … WELCOME TO CANADA !” … and he gave me our documents and let us pass…Quite a weird experience at the beginning, but ended up being quite comical !After a while, we got into the “Queen Elizabeth Way” towards Toronto and a HUGE sign called my attention, this sign explained all drivers that from that point onwards, everything would be expressed in the METRIC SYSTEM, that is Kilometers, Liters, etc…. rather than miles and gallons. That was quite funny as well, since we use metric in Mexico as well. So, yes, we Mexicans, love Canadians… and I truly take the other way around is also true. (there must be case by case exceptions, but oh well..that always happens).Cheers to all !

What do Mexicans think about Filipinos and their country Philippines?

I’d say most of the people just know it by name. I have met lots of Filipinos here in China. What I can say about Filipinos and Philippines:They have amazing musicians. I’ve met rock musicians and classical musicians. They are some of the best players you’ll see here around. There’s this dish that is half-hatched eggs. I would never dare to eat it. A friend says it tastes good. It’s always funny to find words in common between Spanish and English. They have amazing musicians. My friends have taught me words in Tagalog like pecpec or salsal (don’t know if I’m writing this correctly). I don’t know their meaning but by looking at their faces I can get an idea. Also, what’s the deal with those words that repeat the same sound? On that line, I asked a friend how to ask for directions in Tagalog. He taught me how to say “Excuse me, what’s the color of your penis?” instead. Some friends support Rodrigo Duterte. I’ve seen presidents like him in many Latin American countries. It doesn’t end well. No, we don’t think our president is attractive.A Filipino friend once invited me to watch a movie about prisoners that are hired as hitman by the government to do their dirty work (forgot the name but I liked it!). As we were watching the movie my friend asked me if in Mexico all politicians and rich guys spoke English only (in many segments of the movie the characters speak in English, which I thought was odd, being all of the cast Filipinos). He told me in Philipines many of them did. I think it’s weird. They have amazing musicians.

Why is Jesús a popular boy's name in Mexico, whereas in the U.S. naming a boy Jesus would be considered bizarre?

Never?  The question's assumption is probably wrong.    Frequency of first names in the USA, according to the US Census, puts Jesus as number 129, with 226,139 persons having the name.Top Male First Names in America [Alphabetical List] From the list of applications for US social security numbers in 2005, Jesus was the 73rd most common name for baby boys in 2005.Top 250 Most Popular Baby Names for Boys in America, 2005 There's a table showing the number of American babies given the name Jesus each year, at How popular is the name Jesus? I grant that the US does have a considerable Hispanic population, and that many people may use the name because they preserve the hispanophone tradition.See also Is there anybody who names their kid Jesus in the US? One anglo with the name who comes to my mind wasJames Jesus Angleton although his mother was Mexican.Jesus Wilson, not apparently Hispanic, was suspended from the Florida State University football team after being arrested several weeks ago.BTW, Jesus translated into Arabic is Isa, and in Islamic countries, that name is not uncommon.

Is it common for a Mexican guy with the first name of "Arnold" and the guy doesn't even speak Spanish.?

A guy raised in Mexico who can't speak Spanish? That is REALLY unusual.

If you mean an American who ancestors were Mexican citizens, sure, that's common.

After all, a LOT of "Mexicans" have been in the US longer than most European-Americans.

Ignorant much?

I absoloutely love mexican guys?

I know how you feel, i have mostly dated mexicans, its not that i was looking for them, but they were attracted to me. I don't think all of them want sex just because they are mexican, but alot of mexicans come here just to work & aren't looking for a long term commitment. A lot of them have wives & children back home waiting for them. I was abandoned when i was 6 months pregnant by a mexican man, He just decided to go back home to his family. But they aren't all like that. I am married to a mexican now. What is really important is that you like the person, enjoy being with them, have similar goals, & are comfortable with your cultural differences, race or country of origin shouldn't even matter. I hope this helps.
