Are These Delusions And Am I Hearing Voices

Hearing witches voices - is that possible?

Would not the voice be female if it was a witch? Otherwise it would be wizards. As wizard is the word for a male practitioner of magic and also the collective term for males and females. A warlock is a specific type of wizard, it means wizard as warlock is of Gaelic origin, it can also be a malevolent wizard or an esteemed one. It has many meanings. Where exactly has she heard these voices? Has she ever seen anyone? It is possible that she heard a group of people, if they were talking about magic then that may be why she thought they were wizards.

David C; witchcraft is magic practiced by witches so why would wizards have anything to do with it? I spoke of magic.
Wizardry is magic practiced by wizards, both witchcraft and wizardry are part of magic. What I watch has nothing to do with it I know the meanings of the words I used. Check the etymology of the words.

If you hear voices telling you to hurt yourself so others don't come to harm, are you schizophrenic?

This is a voice that sounds pretty much like an actual person talking, correct? It’s a voice the person actually hears? It could be a whisper or much louder, but it actually makes an audible sound.If so, schizophrenia is a possibility, as is severe depression or bipolar disorder.Many people don’t know that about depression, that when it gets really bad, hallucinations and delusions are possible.With depression, if a person does have hallucinations and delusions, quite often, the hallucinations and delusions follow a theme that goes along with depression. For example, a theme of extreme guilt or needing to suffer.A friend of mine had the delusion that he had killed someone. He had hallucinations of a voice saying, ‘You are worthless, you need to die. You killed her.’ He would wake up every morning about 3 am and sit in the dark and wring his hands and cry, he felt so bad about killing someone.He hadn’t killed anyone. In fact he was a really sweet guy. Depression with psychotic features. Thank god he went and got some help, otherwise I think he would have killed himself. He really suffered agony with that delusion.

Do bipolar people hear voices?

People with a Bipolar disorder, like Schizophrenia, also have delusions and hallucinations so they MAY hear voices too.

Bipolar disorder is not a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders defined by the presence of one or more episodes of abnormally elevated mood, clinically referred to as mania. Individuals who experience manic episodes also commonly experience depressive episodes or symptoms, or mixed episodes in which features of both mania and depression are present. These episodes are normally separated by periods of normal mood, but in some patients, depression and mania may rapidly alternate, known as rapid cycling. Extreme manic episodes can sometimes lead to psychotic symptoms such as delusions and hallucinations. The disorder has been subdivided into bipolar I, bipolar II, Bipolar NOS, and cyclothymia based on the type and severity of mood episodes experienced.

How to tell if your delusional?

Well, I wouldn't doubt if I was. But the reason I ask is because, being an ex christian, I wonder if I may be wrong and there is a god. I sometimes wonder if the reason I couldn't hear his voice was because I was purposely blocking it out. Around the time I was starting to disbelieve in god, I was beginning to become "worldly" and I was studying other religions/metaphysics/quantum mechanics. So maybe the reason I couldn't hear "his voice" was because I was becoming worldly. And I was in a depression at the time and I sometimes would swore Id hear his voice, and feel like I was coming close to the light, but I was afraid and stubborn to give up my "sin" so I went back into darkness.. Then I thought i found the truth, in another religion, and Id hear a voice similar to "his" but I knew that the happiness i felt wasn't the same as the "holy spirit".. Like it was a copy. But now, I don't know if that's the case.. I believe all religions have the truth, but I sometimes doubt it.

I don't know what to believe. Am I delusional or not i don't know. Maybe I should talk to a counselor, but i'm afraid they'd just say god is real and ****.. I live in the bible belt.

I'm afraid my view on reality is so twisted. I have heard voices before, and I think they're spirits/demons. I think I view reality as it is, but then I compared myself to others, and I question my own sanity.

Sorry for the lengthy question.

Do bipolar people hear voices in their head?

There are several mental health conditions involving auditory hallucinations. It also depends on the predominant factor impairing one’s functioning. For example, someone may be depressed and experience hearing voices but the main issue impacting the person’s functioning will be the depression and the voices increase the level of severity of the depression as it distorts your perception of reality. Yes, you can experience psychosis with bipolar disorder. You can experience voices outside of your head as well. You can also experience visual and tactile hallucinations as well as delusions. These are all symptoms of psychosis. Only a mental health professional would be able to help you to distinguish whether the voices in one’s head are the result of psychosis or other factors such as negative internal dialogue.

Can you have Schizophrenia, but not hear voices?

One website says these are the early signs of Schizophrenia:
* Social withdrawal
* Hostility or suspiciousness
* Deterioration of personal hygiene
* Flat, expressionless gaze
* Inability to cry or express joy
* Inappropriate laughter or crying
* Depression
* Oversleeping or insomnia
* Odd or irrational statements
* Forgetful; unable to concentrate
* Extreme reaction to criticism
* Strange use of words or way of speaking

I have many of these symptoms, but I don't hear voices. Can that still be Schizophrenia?

Also, what age does Schizophrenia usually occur for women?

What is the appropriate treatment for someone who hears voices?

The person would more than likely be prescribed an Anti-psychotic medication such as Resperdol. It is important to remember that if a person says that they are hearing voices, and you ask them which ear do they hear the voices in, and they answer you either the left or right ear, that person is lying. Voices are heard in both ears, not one or the other. Thought that be helpful in your story.

Haldol use to be prescribed for psychotic patients. Therapy does little to improve auditory hallucinations, though it might help the person deal with their disability a bit better depending on the delusions they might have.

Oddly, there is a lot of religiosity noted in those who become psychotic, particularly auditory hallucinations. Why this is, who knows? But many people hear God's voice, an hallucination. Believing yourself to be God would be a delusion.

Hope this helps, good luck,

kristi

Do people with schizophrenia hear voices all the time or do they come and go.?

they come and go.....I work in this area with a man who has it....he says that sometimes they scream at him and other times they go away....but I do notice a definite cycle to his behavior. He gets quite intense just prior to a full moon, and can argue with anyone for any reason, and sometimes he isnt even arguing with anyone....its a war within himself.....it can take quite a lot to get through to him at times
