Your making a Devil's Canyon build: The Intel Core i7 4790k is also known as the Devil's Canyon.Your Motherboard: Overkill (even for Over-clock). Suggest limiting it to 200USD or less. Suggestion: Amazon.com: Gigabyte Black Edition LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboards GA-Z97X-UD5H-BK: Computers & Accessories[I have the non Black edition of the above gigabyte board, works perfect]Processor: Perfect for gaming build. [Do not go for X99 based CPU's, games require more core speed vs more core's]RAM: Low on DDR clock speed, you need more clock speed for higher gaming performance as well as over clock head room. Suggest this:G.SKILL Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model F3-2400C10D-16GTX[I have the same, gets me around 10-15 FPS gain on highest speeds, vs lower speed of PC3 12800, also the speeds are backward compatible]HDD: More than enough.Graphics: This is better and highest among-st clocks.EVGA 04G-P4-3975-KR GeForce GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0+ 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Graphics CardPower supply: This is sufficient, 1000w is overkill if your only using one GPU.CORSAIR CX series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU CertifiedSound Card: Not needed at all. Get good speakers 1st. The sound card can't do much if your Speakers can't reproduce that sound.Lastly use this site instead for building your PC:Pick Parts, Build Your PC, Compare and ShareComments on build:The Devils' canyon builds are famous for gaming rigs because they can be overclocked to 4.7 GHz with decent cooling without too much effort. The Motherboard you have is good for thermal integrity but if you want speed, the Gigabyte and Asus Rampage boards can do better performance / cost wise.Sound card are only good if you have decent speakers else the onboard from ASUS is quite decent.Spend more the GPU, the 970 is the best in its class for its price, I have a 770 which is the previous generation of the same, and looking to upgrade at the end of the year. You can get a cheaper pc case and no sound card and save on the power supply so that you can get a higher card instead of the 960.Credits: Building and breaking computers since 15, all the way to a Computer engineer, game programmer -and- pro gamer.Edit:Please read the comments for my reasoning of why I have suggested the above.

Hey there !!!Yep all of the Parts for you Gaming Rig are compatible and However fast your CPU and GPU be , ATLEAST ADD A 128 GIGABYTE SSD.I agree with Jyotsha Kumar. You are buying high end hardware to build a Powerful gaming rig , and you want to buy a low end zebronics case ? Doesn't make sense !!!I would suggest some good high end Cases for your Gaming RIG -Circle Black CC 840 Gaming CaseCooler Master HAF 912 Combat CabinetCooler Master K380Zebronics ZEB-523B Gaming CabinetCorsair Carbide Series MicroATX Gaming CaseThermaltake Versa N25 ATX Mid Tower Cases CA-1G2-00M1WN-00You can check those out , if have any questions you can ask me in the comments.Hope you liked my answer :) :)Happy Gaming !!!

Are these parts compatible for a Gaming Rig?

I am looking to build my first PC for heavy gaming, and after doing a little bit of research I pieced together, what seems to be, a pretty good build. Everything to me looks compatible, but since this is my first build I want to be safe. Anywhere I can save $$$ please let me know! This build is a little over $1000 and anywhere I can save would be nice. My reason for wanting a 1000w power supply is for a 2nd video card and liquid cooling later down the line. Any comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Are these computer parts compatible? I'm trying to build a new PC.?

some issues i could propose, like reported formerly get an intel mobo, and ddr-2 ram, and an E8400 for cpu. And finally i could propose a 9800GX2 for the pictures card, via fact its plenty extra beneficial, and on newegg, you may get one for $430 and a few extra low-fee. The GTX 260, value ratio sucks in comparison to different GPU's, im construction a rig quickly, and im going to get a GTX 280, it is larger than the GX2, yet on your funds, maximum defiantly get a GX2. Cheers mate and sturdy success

Are These Computer Parts Compatible? (Building A Gaming Computer)?

I just need to know if these computer parts would all go together fine and work good. Are these all the parts i need for a computer or am I missing any? (Besides the sound card) This is my first computer build so I'm kind of a noob at this. =)

PC Build check. Are all these parts compatible?

I decided to quit console gaming and build a pc about a week ago. Since then I have been researching for the best parts/price I could afford and have put together a list of parts.

What I need to know however is if all these parts will work with one another and also if any of them will "bottleneck." Also I would like to know the kind of performance I would likely get in the soon to be released Battlefield 3 (on a single monitor.) Feel free to make any suggestions for part swap outs too. Thanks in advance.

Are these PC components compatible in my new gaming build?

Hey everyone.

I built a gaming computer before and didn't have a problem; However, this was six years ago. A lot has changed in the gaming world and hardware universe. Now came the time for me to build a new one and I have selected the components below. I would appreciate suggestions, but I'm mostly looking for confirmation that my build is compatible, every component.

I would love a quick response, on the account that I am ordering tonight.

I really appreciate the help guys and your time/consideration!

Ignore the lack of a monitor.

to build a compact computer you’ll want a mini itx motherboard and a case designed for one.to build a gaming computer you’ll want a beefy gpu, among other things.beefy gpus get hot, so you’ll need beefy cooling. surprise! mini itx is pretty cramped with big beefy gpus, so you’ll want to liquid cool it since airflow will suck. Closed loop doesn’t really exist for gpus so may as well get the processor liquid cooled while you’re at it.You can also save space by using a single ssd instead of multiple storage options, particularly big bulky disk drives. You also want a modular PSU because cable management is critical in smaller form factors. This is merely a list of what specific decisions need to be made for a compact gaming pc, not an overall list of necessary components for a build.
