Are this sentences right, SIMPLE COMPOUND COMPLEX?

Just want to make sure these sentences of correct

* No, I think this is simple. There is no other subject/verb.

* No, complex. "who won the race" is the dependent part.
Whoever wins tonight will receive a medal.- complex?
* I believe this is complex.

Covert complex to simple sentence?

I think you're right. The sentence is "Harry rejected the advice." You have added 2 modifiers (a, shocked), but they don't change the sentence structure. However, "being shocked" is an introductory participial phrase which (I think) alters the structure of the sentence. But it is iffy and I'm not 100% certain.

Worst case: they're both simple sentences.
