Are Toms Supose To Be Tight To The Point Where My Foot Is Being Squished

Heels are little loose, suggestions?

Try gel inserts/pads. You can find them at most shoe stores. You can stick them at the front of your shoe where the ball of your foot sits, or at the back at the heel. They really work, and help secure your feet in place, and stops your foot slipping out of your shoe. Good luck! :)

How much will my Toms shoes stretch?

I was really unsure of what size to get, so i went to a local shoe place to try their small selection of Toms and found out im a size 8. I orderedtoy Toms online, size 8. I got them recently and I haven't worn them much, just a couple hours around the house. The width has really stretched, but I'm worried about the length. One of my feet is a half size larger, and my toes are a bit squished on that foot. How much will the length expand? Will I need a bigger size?

Exactly how tight are rockclimbing shoes supposed to be?

It depends on the type of shoe you are buying and the type of climbing you want to do. I was always told to get the smallest shoes that you fit your foot into. Over the years I found myself with about 4 pairs of shoes, two of which I never wore because they were too tight. I think if you are trying to do a lot of front pointing and smearing, a little tighter is good especially if its like a slipper or doesn't have a board last (insole). If the shoe will be used for multi-pitch climbing and bigger holds, even slab climbing if it's not too steep, you want a shoe that conforms to your foot but isn't too tight. Given the choice if I had to use only one shoe I would go for comfort. Find a shoe that actually fits your foot and get it so it's snug but not too tight. The other thing you might keep in mind. Alot of climbers like to wear their shoes barefoot. Nothing gets a shoe nastier than wearing it barefoot during hot weather. Try to get a very thin pair of polypropylene socks to wear with your shoes. this will keep your shoes from getting too grimy during the hot weather and allow you to climb in them more comfortably when the temp is lower.

What is the use of the small loop present on the rear end of each running shoe?

Another great use for the loop, although probably not part of its original design, is to hang them on the washing line.I will admit my reluctance to put expensive, highly engineered footwear through a machine, (I only ever do it in extreme circumstances,) I have never been disappointed in the results.Without the loop, (and a couple of carabiners,) the only way to hang them out securely is through the laces. Which is fine until a strong wind pulls them through and your shoe dries with the toes all squished up.Never dry them on a radiator!

Why do girls wear shorts under their skirts and dresses?

When I was in highschool, I wore a uniform. I'll attach a picture of myself below from a few years ago:(shameless self promotion: follow me if you'd like, I couldn't crop the username out so go ahead)(Also this picture was taken after I got my drivers license)As you can see, the skirt is quite short, now my skirt was abnormally short compared to the other classmates and I couldn't change it… the school changed the uniform and stopped making the skirts in that pattern in my last year of school and they allowed the seniors to keep their old uniform so we didn't need to pay money for a skirt we’d wear for less than a year. So they stopped selling my skirts, and obviously being a teenager, my legs grew longer and the skirt got shorter… I don't particularly want to have to sit with my legs closed for the whole day in fear of showing my underwear, so I wore some lululemon short spandex shorts under it… now I could sit however I wanted, didn't have to be worried about bending over and showing my ass to my classmates and teachers (some of which were male) so it wasn't really an option to not wear those shorts.Hope this helps xK

Drum Questions-All Drummers Welcome?

I have about ten years of Drumming experience and 2 ex bands that never quite made it.
I have a Sonor Force 1001 w/ 2 snares and a double kick tap.

1. You'ld have to find a drum repair company, and that can be expensive. For scratches you could buff them out, but it'd leave the paint and gloss uneven. Marks are stories though. Keep them and make up crazy stuff about how it happened. There's a dent in the top of my kick. I told everyone it was were I crushed a beer can with my head. All it really was: I didn't tighten the grip enough and a tomtom fell down onto the kick. If you're talking about drum heads, you can buy replacement heads when the sound starts to distort.

2. Circular motions and lots of elbow grease. Are you using the right type of polish for the metal? IE brass polish for brass cymbals and bronze polish for bronze cymbals. I never did like the thing called "cymbal polish" that was all grouped together.

3. A pillow acts like a dampener. It should be big enough to touch both sides. It'll give your kick a deeper, fuller sound. Try it. It's simple enough to remove.

4. Foot exercises and try placing each pedal in a different position until you find the fastest, smoothest transition.

5. Get a drum key from a music shop if you don't have one. They're cheap and priceless. Tighten and loosen the drum heads. Looser toms sound deeper and vibrate more. You could also get dampening rings to go around each tom. Those run about 10 bucks a pack.

As an extra note for you: The top two toms are referred to as tomtoms . The bottom larger one(s) are toms. The top and left most tomtom should be tighter and higher in pitch than the right most tomtom. The bottom tom is always the lowest sounding.

You should try Zildjan drumsticks for jazz and other light play, but use Vic Firth for heavier rock type songs.
