Are Weight Loss Pills Bad For You

Are weight loss pills bad for you?

In short, yes, most diet pills are bad for you.

there is a flood of such pills that can be purchased from the market and also they are available in 3 different varieties.

Over the counter: These are weight loss pills that can be purchased easily from the drug store without the actual need of a doctor’s valid prescription. They normally contain a small amount of chemicals that can have an impact on your health. They may be less harmful, but that depends upon FDA (Food and Drug Administration) testing.

Herbal supplements: All these usually are not regarded as medicine and you can easily get all these even without a doctor’s prescription. They generally claim to be all natural but again they are not subjected to FDA testing.

Prescription weight loss pills: These are sold only with a medical practitioner’s prescription and so are controlled by the FDA. Medical practitioners also observe their patients, who take such types of weight loss pills, very carefully, for any possible harm as well as health problems.

Even though some might not be harmful, supplements and over-the-counter (OTC) weight-loss remedies that tout a quick fix usually don't work — if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Many OTC diet pills are intended for obese adults and are not recommended for anyone under 18. Among the many reasons why diet pills aren't a good idea are the unpleasant side effects, which include gas (farting), oily discharge, and diarrhea — just to name a few.

On the other end of the diet-pill spectrum are herbs and supplements. What separates these diet pills from the rest is that they are not regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are not held to the same standards as prescription and OTC medicines. These products may claim you can shed pounds without diet or exercise, but the bottom line is that their effectiveness is questionable at best, and side effects can be as serious as those seen with prescription and OTC drugs, ranging from bloating and diarrhea to serious heart problems.

If you think you're overweight, talk to your doctor about safe and effective ways to lose weight. The best way to attack a weight problem is through lifestyle changes like choosing healthy foods, eating smaller portions, and getting off the couch and starting an exercise routine.

Are prescription weight loss pills bad for u?

Discuss them with your doctor.. He/She will prescribe something specifically for your body so it dont damnage you. Also see if there is anything else he/she would suggest instead of taking pills to see if there is something else that isnt hard to stick to, but less of a risk. I know with diet pills some of them make your heart race, and can lead to a heart attack, and if you use them too long they can damnage your organs(just like if you got drunk everyday.. after a while it takes a tole on your body). As far as when you stop taking them if you dont make sure to change your eating habbits/stick to the eating habbits you develope while your on the pills then yes you will gain all the wieght back, if not more. You cant just take the pills expecting when you stop for the wieght to stay off if you dont stick to a specific diet. The pills dont just eat the fat away they teach you how to eat less by controlling how hungry you feel/how much you actually end up eating.. Once you stop taking them if you dont watch how much you eat, and go back to your eating habbits that you had before you took the pills yes your going to gain the weight back. So really talk to your doctor, and see what options you have for loosing weight, if you cant see doing it without the pills then go for it if your doctor says its ok, but make sure your ready to change your eating/ exercise habbits if you want to results to stick.

Are weight loss pills really worth it?

A homemade pot of coffee is about $0.25 and contains 12 cups of coffee. For about the same effect that you’d get from 1 pill of a typical “weight loss pill” you’ll be paying about $0.04. A typical “weight loss pill” will cost you anywhere from $2.00 to $0.50 a pill. The weight loss pills that are actually demonstrated to be even modestly effective are more expensive than this and/or are illegal because they’re highly dangerous. The single most effective drug for fat loss is DNP, a pesticide that prevents energy recycling in your body causing you to burn exponentially more fuel to perform simple activities since you can’t reuse ATP. The problem is this makes you really hot and can cause you to be extremely susceptible to heat stroke. Most people that take DNP will die after taking it for at least 8 days in a row.Ephedrine is much less effective (I used it for a while before it was banned), but also a little bit safer. It’s like caffeine on caffeine, but not quite cocaine or meth. After it contributed to the heat deaths of several professional athletes, most notably pitcher Steve Belcher of the Orioles, it was banned. In conclusion, probably not worth it, considering the same effect can be gained with a little bit of effort and willpower.

Striker 3 the weight loss and energy pills are there any bad side affects? ?

Since nobody has answered yet, I'll toss in my 2 cents.
I couldn't find any mention of a pill called "Striker 3" (although I found a few game references), but most energy/diet pills have the main side effects of being jittery. There should be warnings on the container that you can reference as well.

That being said, taking a little time to exercise (even on the job or at school) would help as well as improving your diet. Now, I know, you don't have any spare time to go to a gym... I've been in the same position... but just a little exercise is all you need. Take the stairs instead of the elevator; if you have a sit-down job, try walking around a bit and/or lifting light weights to keep your cardiovascular system going; take a brisk walk on your breaks... it doesn't have to be anything fancy or official to lose weight. Good luck!
