Are You Prescribed To Adderall

Is Adderall healthy if you use it as prescribed?

Adderall is perfectly safe to use in the low doses as prescribed. I have been using it for a year, have stayed on the same dose, and its effects have changed my life as a future physician. Of course with all drugs there will be side effects. The ones I experienced were irritability, excessive desire to chew/scratch on something, and excess urination. Other than that, (those symptoms were mild) adderall has only helped me. In addition, I have countered the increased high rate and blood pressure by doing increased cardio exercise. Lastly, I feel like all these other symptoms experienced by all these people with "scary" adderall experience are using non-therapeutic doses or they are just hyper focusing on one thing and neglecting the rest of their life (hairloss-low nutrition, penis shrinkage -temporary vasoconstriction, depression/laziness/etc-the laziness is legit and requires you to taper it slowly to get rid off...if you are experiencing depression, you were likely experiencing depression and adderall may not have been for you but you used it for its euphoric effect rather than its intended paradoxical calming effect. If this is the case, please see a psychiatrist for a re-evaluation. The notion that you develop "tolerance" to adderall that requires to you continually up your dosage throughout life is a myth. Once you find your dosage, you stick with it. Again, I need to emphasize that adderall is meant to be used for its paradoxical calming effect, NOT FEELINGS OF EUPHORIA! If you want that feeling of euphoria, you are abusing the medication. Tl;dr : adderall is completely safe if used properly or else it wouldn't be a first line treatment. To negate the negative side effects, you need to eat a nutritious diet, exercise regularly, and take as prescribed. *to those who take without prescription, you'll get similar benefits depending on your spectrum of "your ADHD"...ADHD is related to the size of your frontal lobe and many have sub clinical forms that will benefit from adderall but it is clinically advisable to not use in this case if you are managing your life wel without it (because of the side effects listed above)

How do you get prescribed adderall?

The few times that I have tried adderall, it was an amazing experience. The stuff makes me just a better person on all levels of the spectrum. So if someone could possibly share a secret with me as to how to get prescribed to adderall, that would be great. Thanks.

How old do you have to be to be prescribed adderall?

According with the drug instructions:
"Use Adderall with extreme caution in CHILDREN younger than 6 years old. Adderall should not be used in CHILDREN younger than 3 years old. Safety and effectiveness in these children have not been confirmed.Use Adderall with extreme caution in CHILDREN younger than 6 years old. Anyway the thing is that you don't need this drug. Adderall is for people with attention deficit disorder. I think this is not your case; you seem to be depressed and needing therapy. Divorce is very difficult for children. You have every right to feel sadness because of the losses you are suffering.

I am in the Marine Corps and I take adderall prescribed to me from a civillian doctor. I just had to take a pre test?

Will the 30mg Adderall xr that I take every day show up as an illegal substance in my urine sample? If it does show up will they know it is prescribed to me due to Tricare covering it? Can I get in any trouble for this?

What do I say to get an Adderall prescription?

This inadvertently did it for me. I had no idea what Adderall was before this experience. I went to my doctor for a routine physical and at the end he asked me if I had any other issues to discuss. I said that I had been having a hard time concentrating for some time and that my work and personal life were being impacted. I could not seem to get anything done and just circled the drain on all the personal and work tasks I had going. Tasks and responsibilites were piling up and as hard as I worked to get ahead I was falling further and further behind. Frustration and depression were creeping into my life and I was submerged in the pressures. I admitted to him I was not sure what he could do for that after all, such is life right? But he did ask.He discussed programs, classes etc. but zeroed in on first trying a short course of Adderall to help me get out of the fog and get on top of things again. His reasoning was classes and programs would add one more thing to my already unmanageable list of obligations and responsibilities and he didn’t want to compound things. Wow. What a difference that decision made. I was on the drug for about three months. Got ahead of the game in everything and was able to get to a point where I had no backlog of tasks at work or at home. Probably the most productive three months of my life. I even managed to pull off a promotion at work in recognition for the amount of productivity and accomplishments during that evaluation period. My Dr. stopped the prescription once I gave him a favorable report and I went about my life as usual. It did the trick in a big way. That was almost 8 year ago and I’ve had no further need for the drug but do miss the mental sharpness and ability to categorize, prioritize, and complete every single task I had swirling around in my mind. All with a fraction of the mental effort it took when not on the drug.I reminisce about that experience and often think of how nice it would be to have one of those hospital drug clickers permanently attached to give myself a dose of that stuff whenever things get crazy hectic… LOL. But yah, there’s that whole addiction thing lurking at the edges of that plan…

Can Your pediatrician prescribe adderall?

I am unsure what adderall does, but I am 100% sure that a psychologist cannot prescribe anything. =P

If it is a highly specialized drug, he may not be comfortable with it, but most doctors are able to prescribe anything. Just a question of whether they want to.
