Are You Satified At Your Current Job If Not What Would You Really Like To Do

ARE YOU SATISFIED with your current JOB AND PAY?

POLL QUESTION-

OBAMA IS OUT AND DONALD TRUMP IS IN,. it seems way more people are not satisfied with their jobs than ever before. even those that make 50,000 or more a year FEEL WAY OVER-WORKED, TOO MANY OBLIGATIONS, STRESSED OUT, AND LIMITED TRAINING. nobody is remaining with their employers for years now. its a new and wages are being depressed for everybody as cost of living and inflation is more than wage growth

What should I do, I'm not satisfied with my current job but I like work-life balance, and the salary there?

I have been a developer for 23 years and managing them for 18 years and I am 55 years old, so I am going to give you some practical advice. If I understand you correctly, what you are trying to say is that you have a great job but you feel like you are not being challenged. My key advice to you is to act on your ambitions, but do not hurry.  Secondly, do not troll for jobs on a broad scale.if you act aggressively to leave where you are, that will affect your performance at a job where it does sound like they are taking care of you.  Having said that, you will not be there indefinitely, so don't put in extra effort.  Instead, use the time and resources at you disposal to carefully assess, plan, and prepare for the next phase. You can put your resume on quality places like LinkedIn and entertain job offers that you really want as they come in.  I would not talk to everyone who wants to hire you, but rather cultivate a really quality opportunity every couple of months.Take some time to focus on professional development.  Perhaps this is a good time to go to school a couple of nights per week to get a graduate degree.Get your personal affairs in order. If you are planning a bug career move, then you want to be ready when the opportunity arises.  If you need to get in better physical condition, for instance, this is a good time.  If you have other personal projects and relationships that need to be worked on, get it done now.  You will be moving on to something better, but it may take six months or a year.If you are moving on to something better, the standards go up.  Make sure you have a good suit ready to go, polish your resume, and practice interviewing skills.I could go on, but the main point here is to leverage this great advantage you have of not being in a rush to take action right away, but to ensure that it is a plan that could take several months to work out and that your main thing is to prepare carefully  now while cultivating only the best possible opportunities. This is a tough topic.  Feel free to post additional questions.

How would you describe your current job?

I'm an HR person with a business degree (with a concentration in HR)

I enjoy it - it took me a long time to decide on a field.

I make decent money - and still don't have enough! LOL

How do I fire my Real Estate agent gently?

I'm in the process of buying a home, and I feel that I haven't been assisted by my agent at all. I've found a new one who is willing to help me out, but I must first fire the old one. How can I do this gently (with nice words) without sounding like an ******?

All I've got so far is "YOU'RE FIRED" and other things atuned to "You pretty much s*ck butt!".

Why did you choose your current job? Are you happy with your choice?

I’ve been with this company for way too long already. It was a fluke, basically, I needed a job otherwise I would have been homeless living in my car with my pets. It came down to take a job or be on the street and when you are at that point practically any job will do as long as it is legal. I’m fortunate to even be employed as I was made a caregiver after my divorce that kept me long-term unemployed to the point where finding any job at all was close to near impossible! I had no place to go because I have no family in the USA and what little family I do have I fled from them due to severe abuse. I also don’t have enough friends with deep enough pockets to help me. So here I am months later still stuck in a dead end, low-paying, apathy inducing job. No, I ABSOLUTELY HATE my current job. Yes, hate an often really strong word for dislike but it is the sad truth. My job requires little to no skills, as it is a low paying position that is part-time, has no healthcare, no paid days off, no time off, you work weekends, it is second shift, it is incredibly boring and you don’t really learn anything new once you’ve been there about a month. Oh, it’s a billion dollar corporation that is a subsidy employer, my low pay entitles me to government assistance of all types. The job is only fit for someone who is super healthy, young and in school or someone who has a primary income, is retired with income, or has a primary job and uses this employer as a side gig only. Anyone else need not apply as you will be deeply unhappy with the pay as well as the work itself. This job is like being in a deep ravine, yelling for help outwards, but only hearing your own echo and not much else. The only redeeming grace, if any, is the people that I work around they are amazing. However, at the end of the day, the people you meet do not pay your needs and the profound lack and living paycheck-to-paycheck hurt deeply in every possible way!
