As Shown In The Figure A Woman Is Straining To Lift A Large Crate But Without Success Because It

As shown in the figure, a woman is straining to lift a large crate, but without success because it is too heavy.....?

...We donate the forces on the crate as follows: P is the magnitude of the upward force being exerted on the crate by the person, C is the magnitude of the vertical contact force on the crate by the floor, and W is the weight of the crate. How are the magnitudes of these forces related while the person is trying unsuccessfully to lift the crate?

A) P+C= W
B) P+C>W
C)P=C

Who is the strongest between Spider-Man and Luke Cage?

Spider-Man, but there’s a reason Luke seems stronger.Spider-Man’s strength varies between lifting two tons and ten or more. (It’s a consistent pattern, depending on whether someone’s life is at stake.)Luke is stronger than human, but he’s well under the two-ton level—at least, the Netflix version is. Spidey can lift a car casually if it didn’t mean slowing himself down enough to be a target; Luke’s real power is bouncing those bullets, and yet he doesn’t lift cars easily. He also doesn’t leap very far, the way Spidey (and Jessica Jones, another car-lifter) have the strength to do.But, Luke can smash through walls—even prison cells—and if there’s one thing you realize from watching Spider-Man, it’s that he goes along walls but never through them… even though that’s something almost every other hero with super-strength does. At least Spidey can’t do it easily; his two ton strength is just weak enough that he’d need to pick up a car or something else as a battering ram.The reason Luke can do it is that his fists don’t break. Give him a minute and his strength will be enough to beat through the wall; a few minutes and he’ll punch out of that cell. If he has to bend steel, he’d rather punch it into shape than just try heaving at it. His raw strength isn’t that super, but he does “punch above his weight class,” literally. Both Luke and Spider-Man are built a little differently than the usual type of super-strong hero, so that they each move through their world in ways the others don’t. Spidey flips over and between everything and tosses some of it around; Luke is just a bit more than only the strongest man in the room except that he’s almost unbreakable, but with some effort he can also smash things he can’t lift. Yes, both heroes have had moments where they’re stronger or weaker than that, but that seems to be what the creators are aiming for.

What has been the lowest point in your life?

Late 2012 / early 2013. “I am sorry, but you’ve got CFS”.I won’t ever forget that moment, and the facial expression of the doctor. Before that, I lived to full health. I use to lift weights, jog, date, etc. By late 2012, I started to feel exhausted every day (to the point I could not come to work occasionally), dizzy, and a few other symptoms like poor concentration and severe muscle pain. I was eventually diagnosed with ME/CFS, or if that rings a bell, the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. This marked my life for ever. I got depressed. I thought that my amazing life so far had came to an end. I could not work on a daily basis, I had to get bed rest in the middle of the day because I was so dizzy, etc.You really feel life is a bitch. You ask why you, why don’t doctors know how to treat you and a variety of other questions that only frustrate you more. I’ve seen my life going backwards, and I lost it all: my social life, my great shape, sexual interaction, efficient brain activity and even ability to complete basic daily tasks. Most of you don’t have any idea of what this is like, but it is very close to true evil.Even though these were (and still are) horrible times, they also gave me a reason to fight, probably because it activated my instinct of survival. Not knowing I could work for much longer, I had to create a salary to survive on. Eventually, I made peace with my past and decided to work to become successful. I taught myself how to make money and how to invest it.Today, I own a small Real Estate business with 10 units (which I want to grow to 100 units until I turn 33) and a few other investments. My networth is currently a quarter of a million dollars. Due to my condition, I plan to retire by the time I am 33, a journey I document on my blog and wrote a book about. If you have CFS or any serious chronic disease, I hope this message inspires you to fight it off.Follow me on Quora if you liked this post.

What is the best treatment for high blood pressure?

Caveat: I do not have a medical background, and my first thought is that this is a really good question to ask your doctor.Having said that: A lot depends on whether you mean lifestyle modifications or supplements. Most doctors are very happy to see their patients adopt modifications like the DASH diet (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension), more exercise, and so on.Supplements? A huge red flag. A common side effect of supplements is dangerous rises in blood pressure. But the bottle says it “fights high blood pressure”? Reassuring, until you learn that studies of supplements have found that some of them contain none of the substance on the label. Others contain ingredients that aren’t listed on the bottle. Including heavy metals like lead. Or caffeine. If your alternative blood pressure medicine contains caffeine or a similar stimulant, you might just win an ambulance ride to the ER.Alternative medicine is a $30 billion per year industry with very little regulation. Practitioners are often making claims their teachers told them, which their teachers told them, and so on — it’s “evidence by citation.” Well-designed, controlled studies that contradict these claims don’t seem to have any effect. Turmeric, for example: in a lab setting, with cells in a petri dish, it did show promise as an anti-inflammatory agent. Unfortunately, in the human body, 99 percent of curcumin (the active ingredient in turmeric) is not bioavailable — it’s destroyed by the liver and kidneys. Has this even put a dent in the sales of curcumin supplements? Not at all.I didn’t mean this to run so long, but the upshot is, hypertension is life-threatening. I’d hate to see anyone put their health at risk.Good luck to you.

What inspires you to write on Quora?

I cannot remember the initial reason when I first created my Quora account. However, after not using Quora for almost 4 years, I decided to give it another try. I happened to be bored at the Las Vegas Airport while trying to go to sleep. Yes, I was spending the night in the airport before going on a 24 hour food adventure. Jeremy Markeith Thompson's answer to Have you ever gone on a date with just yourself? What did you do, and is it really weird?I decided to check out Quora and see if I had finally figured out how the site works. My first few times using Quora made absolutely zero sense to me. So I gave up Quora for a couple of years in defeat and feeling like crap. Now, I happened to login at the Vegas Airport and discover some questions dealing with living in Chicago. I’m from the Chicagoland area and I have lived in Chicago. Bingo! I wrote a few answers and received some upvotes and feedback.I discovered a virtual world where people can ask almost any question and receive answers from people that usually have insight around that particular topic. I wanted to be a part of this community. At that point in my life, I felt really depressed and underwhelmed by life. I didn’t feel challenged. Quora provided me with an opportunity to actually use my brain without having to dumb down my thoughts. In my daily life, I tend to interact with people that don’t require me to actually think. I can go through the motions. On Quora, I learned that I couldn’t simply go through the motions. There are people here who actually love to think, question, grow, discern, research, help others, ponder, extrapolate, analyze, interpret, create, think abstractly, and enjoy knowledge for the sake of knowledge. As a insatiable learner, I needed a place like Quora to help me continue to develop and grow in ways known and unknown.I enjoy being part of the Quoran community. I feel like I am adding something with my writing. My belief is that it helps others. That is my only reason for writing. I get to answer questions and add my perspective to it. It’s not academic writing, but it is definitely reflective of me. And that makes me feel good inside. To give away tiny pieces of me by answering questions.

What are some interesting psychology experiments one can do?

My husband and I were driving towards the Bandra Worli sea link.As we approached the toll booth, my husband asked me “Should we take the lane with the bus or the one with more cars?”I said take the lane with the mini-bus, as it has less cars. Bus is longer, and hence will take less space too. So, the queue is looking bigger, but in effect, it is smaller. My husband approached the longer line which had more cars, but only cars.I asked him why did he take the lane with longer queue. He said “Bus is bigger, so it will pay more toll and take more time to pay.”But this was an assumption that he was making. These are the toll rates on the sea link.A car will either pay Rs.60 or Rs.90.A bus will pay Rs.90 or Rs.160.In both cases, either a single journey or a return journey, a car has more chance of taking longer time.If the car driver pays using a 100 rupee note, the toll booth will have to hand over either a 10 rupee change or 40 rupee change. If the car driver pays using a 500 rupee note, he will be given either 440 or 410 as change. On the other hand, if a bus driver hands over a 100 rupee note, he will have to be given 10 rupee back.If he/ she gives 500, then he will be given either 410 or 340 back as change.Bus is more likely to buy a return ticket. Cars produce more permutations and combinations.Logically, the bus lane should move faster. But just because the bus size is bigger, people assume it will pay more and take more time during the transaction. As I explained this to my husband, our lane kept moving. My husband had the last laugh as we managed to buy the toll ticket and zoom past even as the bus was still stuck at the toll. This is just one sample data point. I have not given up on this theory yet. Not till I collect data from atleast 30 such trips. My little ongoing psychological experiment.

Friction creates ground reaction force except in what direction?

it is very true that friction acts against the direction of motion actually there is an extension to this statement that needs to be considered which is more relevant and that is friction acts against the direction of motion or the tendency for motion. the wheel comes into contact with respect to the ground and travels along with it without slip and leaves contact. this means that the case of friction is a case of static friction and not sliding or dynamic friction. thus the friction force is not moving through any distance and consequently does no work. on the other hand this friction is what we call the traction capability because if we apply a greater force at the point of contact than can be supported by this friction force (traction force) the wheel would skid. thus the friction force would be directed in the direction of motion of the bicycle on both the wheels in other words from right to left

Does anyone know anything about men who are cancers????

Luckly this is a great solution for premature ejaculation http://EndPrematureEjaculation.enle.info...

A guy always cums fast when its their first time. and especially if he's been waiting for a long time. Guys are erect at least 5 times a day so what I would do is some foreplay until he ejaculates or the both of you for that matter its not fair that he has orgasms and you don't so get him to do you first and then once you finish he will be more than ready for his orgasm. then use a condom because that cuts down the sensations for him if he feels he is about to come prematurely then tell him to come out and do some more foreplay on you so he has time to calm down. the condom should work but if you want a baby tell him to take the condom of before ejaculation and then finish in you. the longer you wait to make him come with foreplay the quiker it will be because he has to get it out of him.

He also does need time because you are the only one he has been with so once he gets used to it, you can really enjoy it once he gets his techniques down pat. Tell him what you like. Get some books and videos also until you both are experienced. Or you could even have a quickie in the morning, when you get home and then at night. he will diffently last longer because his mind has been free twice already. You get on top of him and you control the situation. Also my boyfriend tells me that he thinks about none sexual things for a while to help control him, tell him to think about a sport or something that calms him. If that doesn't work then just do IT over until you are satisfied

If Jesus died for our sins, why do Christians believe we can still sin?

Human nature, the sin in us, will always be waiting to raise it’s ugly head. True…as Christians, we died to our old ways; buried in baptism for the forgiveness of sins and raised a new life. It is a Chrsitian’s goal, not to sin; to be as Christ. However, if we do fall into sin, but truly regret it; make amends if needed and continue to focus on God’s light. As “Paul” of the bible lamented, in Romans 7, how, though he died to his sinful self, he finds he still [at times] if you start reading in the 14th verse, especially from verse 17, Paul explains the sin living in him that keeps him from doing what he knows is good. “It is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives within his [man’s] sinful nature. For what I do is not the good that I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do — this I keep on doing. When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. [22] For in my inner being, I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death. Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in the sinful nature, a slave to the law of sin.” I hope this helps you to understand. As a Christian, though I no longer want to sin because of the truth I know, when it does rear it’s ugly head, the blood of Jesus has covered it. I may no longer SEEK or want to satisfy myself by engaging in sinful activity, but when I slip and fall, I know, by “getting back up” to continue in God’s ways, I’m forgiven. [But if I hurt anyone in ANY way, I must seek forgiveness from them, [pay restitution, if needed}, or to forgive them [if they wronged me], as Christ has forgiven me. I must remember to value others, more than myself and put God way above every thing, every need, everybody and my being. After all: Justice, is when we “get what we deserve”. Mercy, is when we don’t get what we deserve. Grace, is when we get what we don’t deserve

What do you believe it will take to truly "make America great again"?

This is all very dependent on how you are defining "greatness." But by every metric I would use, America was certainly not at its peak before Woodrow Wilson. Here are the variables I would use to define greatness, and how the US measured up from Woodrow Wilson until now:Economic powerMilitary powerQuality of lifeOpportunityPositive impact on the worldRe: Economic power - The United States (in green) had its largest share of the world's GDP just after WW2. This makes sense. Our economy was firing on all cylinders with postwar production, and were the only major power that did not have horrific damage done to its means of production. Since then, other nations have rebuilt, reinvented, and caught up, but this is not because America is falling, it is because others are rising.Re: Military power -Before Woodrow Wilson, the United States had a small, inexperienced, isolationist military. After WW2, it became the largest and most sophisticated military on the planet, and remains so today, spending more than 3x the amount of the next most powerful country on the list. The US maintains a global military presence with the largest nuclear arsenal on the planet.Re: Quality of life -Life expectancy is trending upwards. More Americans receive college and advanced degrees. Advanced technologies, medical treatments, air travel, and computers are available to virtual everyone. Indeed the wealth gap has increased, but the baseline quality of life is much improved over the years before.Re: Opportunity - While we're not the most socially mobile country on the planet, there is no caste system here. Social mobility is possible and common, and 6 million immigrants seek to migrate here every year. Over a half a million new businesses start each month, and the US still hosts more Global Fortune 500 countries than any other.Re: Positive impact on the worldUnder US military hegemony and global leadership, the world is safer, healthier, and more prosperous than ever before. Large scale wars between industrialized nations are largely extinct. And despite what the 24 hour news cycle might have you believe, the numbers say otherwise. Rapes, murders, and combat deaths are falling dramatically. Democracy is on the rise, and autocracy is falling:Why the World Is Not Falling Apart America is still great. It's just that other countries are becoming great too.
