How do i convince my Parents to get me an early Birthday present?

How early is too early to ask a parent for a birthday present when it is something you would use now?
In my case, it never worked. My parents were very strict about giving gifts early. We got gifts only on the birthday itself, and same with holidays. But I do things a bit different now with my own kids. If they are asking for something that I know they will truly use, and I find a good price, then I have no issues giving it like a month early. Every family is different, and if your parents are open-minded about giving gifts early- and you find a great deal on something you need right now - ( but your birthday is still some time away) then I say ask anyhow. Just make sure they know that you understand that this will be your birthday gift and that you will not be expecting another one when your birthday comes.

Your Mom is right, it is wrong to ask someone for a present. But I think you made what is called an honest mistake.If your aunt always buys you a gift, it is not odd to assume that she will probably buy you one this year too. But you do have to wait until she asks what you want, or gives you something she chose herself.The rude part is assuming that she will give you a gift. If you want to apologize, I would say something like- " I really appreciate all the nice things you have given me in the past. I'm sorry I asked you for a gift, I know that was wrong."I'm sure your aunt will understand and appreciate your apology.

Sounds like your mom is as anxious as you are. Almost like she really wants to give you the present because she is hoping you enjoy it. Most times it's just as much fun seeing the reaction from the person getting the gift as it is to be recieving the gift itself. Follow me? I don't think you will have to try hard to get your present early if that's what you want to do. Your mom already is wanting to give it to you.

I could go "Hey, if you're going to get a present, I can just tell you something so you don't have to go through the trouble of thinking of what I would want" - but if you cant even get a present thats ok =) I should be glad ur coming" If he says "I can't get you something" I'll apologise for asking, then if he says "No" then I'll say "Alrighty, sorry for sounding rude"
What is the best birthday present you have ever received?
When I was 6 years old all I wanted was to have a birthday party at McDonald's. Everyone was having their parties there. I was over the moon happy when my mom agreed to let me have a party there.The night before my party I took a bath. While I was in the bath I noticed these small red dots on my stomach. I was petrified! I finally was getting the birthday party I wanted and then this happens. I had no idea what the red bumbs were so I hid them when my mom came in to check on me. I thought it wasn't a big deal as they would go away and I'd be fine in the morning.The next morning I woke up so itchy all over. I jumped out of bed and ran to the mirror. The worst catastrophe stared back at me. I had chicken pox! My mom immediately cancelled my party. I was devastated. To make it worse, now I had to spend my birthday alone as no one wanted to be around me.I was wallowing in my sadness and disappointment in my room. I heard a knock on my door and there stood my grandma. She handed me a happy meal and gave me a huge hug. She said if I couldn't have my party at McDonald's, we'd bring McDonald's to my party.She made my birthday so special. I don't even remember the gift she gave me. They didn't matter as she gave me the best gift ever which was her love. We had such a wonderful time together and it still makes me smile to this day.
