Asus Rog G750jh Or Alienware 17

Which is best for gamers, Alienware M17 or ASUS ROG G751JT/Acer Predator G6 i7?

Thanks for A2A.I don't use alienware but I guess I can still answer this.Which alienware laptop are you actually asking about? M17x R3 or M17x R4 or simply alienware 17.    Still, here goes:ASUS I think will give you a notch better  performance. Alienware on the other hand has looks, brand, accessories and other typical alienware advantages. They don't have much of a difference though when it comes down to gaming. So if you want to just game without any other thing to care about, go with ASUS as it is slightly more powerful. If you want show off ( I guess :/) or customize or stuff like that, go for alienware.  Hope it helpsQuestions and constructive criticism is welcomed.

Alienware or Asus for a Gaming Laptop? any other suggestions would be good?

As the alienware is more powerful, it might give the better bang for your buck. HOWEVER Alienware is known to break easily so the Asus may last you longer. As the asus has 32GB RAM and the alienware has 16GB, this will factor greatly but i would go for the Asus as the clock really dosent speed much up. I checked out your processor and it somewhat better on the alienware but not so much it would factor greatly. So in the end with the GPU, CPU, RAM i would go with the Asus.

MSI vs ASUS?

MSI GE62 2QE Apache Pro
i7-5700HQ 2.7/3.4GHz 6MB
RAM: 16GB
1TB(HDD)+128GB(SSD)
GTX965M 2GB

or

Asus G551JW ROG
i7-4720HQ 2.6/3.6 GHz 6MB
RAM 16GB
1TB(HDD)+24GB(SSD)
GTX960M 4GB

I wish the latter had more SSD :(
Which one will serve me better?

Not for gaming. For CAD/Rendering/3D Modeling. Tbh I'm not familiar with both brands, I care about performance & durability. Also which one has a better battery life? Less technical/overheat issues?

Best Laptop/Desktop for Animation and VFX Software?

ASUS ROG G750JM-DS71. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IKF2H12/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=211189&creative=373489&creativeASIN=B00IKF2H12&link_code=as3&tag=thepcgamhar-20&linkId=MAZOHPAWLJMGBAS3
ASUS ROG G750JM-DS71 packs the power of Intel core i7-4700HQ quad core 2.4 GHz-3.4 GHz processor like the rest of the ROG laptops from this latest series. So in terms of processor performance, this laptop is no different from its more expensive counterparts. For those of you don’t know, this is one of the best processors that you can get in a mobile system. In terms of RAM, ASUS ROG G750JM-DS71 has an adequate amount that should promise a smooth performance during multitasking or rendering graphics and videos. 12 GB DDR3 is still more than the standard 8 GB that you get in an average multimedia laptop. To tell you the truth, there is no game at the moment that has a requirement of 12 GBs of RAM. Therefore, from RAM point of view, you are quite covered for a long period of time.
The most significant difference between ASUS ROG G750JM-DS71 and its more expensive versions is the graphic card. This laptop features NVIDIA GTX 860M 2 GB GDDR5 graphic card, which is the weakest among the graphic cards featured in the other two superior models of this series of ROG. However, like I said earlier, that does not mean that this graphic card cannot deliver an excellent performance. In fact you should be able to enjoy almost all of the latest games at high graphics while maintaining a decent 50-60 FPS. This graphic card may suffer a little in terms of FPS at ultra settings, but it should be able to handle that as well on some latest games.
Intel Core i7-4700HQ 2.4Ghz (Turbo 3.4 GHz)
• 12 GB DDR3
• 1 TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
• 17.3-inch screen, GeForce GTX 860M 2GB
• Windows 8.1, 3.5-hour battery life
