At 3 Months Old How Much Pot Belly Pig Food Do I Start Out Feeding Her

What food can I feed my 1-month-old pug?

If your pug is one month old that means it at weaning stage right now, which means, it is time you slowly move your pug from milk to solid food. Your pug will be at weaning stage till it is three month old. Here are some things you can try:1. Give a mash or mixture of banana and milk. Pugs, just like minions, love bananas.2. Give baby food. I used to feed cerelac to my pug. He would devour it always. You can give this particular food as many times as you want. Just make sure not to overfeed, otherwise he will puke and make your floor messy.3. Give hard-boiled eggs but in small chunks, better feed this from your hand.4. Needless to mention, MILK (one cup once or twice a day)These can differ. I used to feed my pug the above mentioned food when he was a pup. He never fell ill and never faced any flatulence problem. After your pug crosses third month, you can slowly introduce kibbles (quality dog food for puppies - aka Stage 1) to it.

4 week old Mini pot belly pig won't walk and is hiccuping?

at 4 weeks the pig should still be with it's litermates.
It is not a mini. Sadly, there are not mini pigs. You have an underdeveloped pot belly pig. The parents were bred way too young so they were not yet full size, so they would produce smaller babies. They will still grow to full size, but will take a little longer to get there. The "minis" are usually given very strict feeding guidelines that keep the pig starved to keep it from getting too big, but honestly it will just cause the pig to die of starvation. Start feeding it what you would feed a normal pig and you will notice a growth spurt and increase in health.

Pot bellied pig question?

I do potbelly pig rescue, and, as another person answered, they are given up VERY frequently because people didn't do their homework befor getting one. They are NOT the pet for everyone, and they need allot of attention, and a place, outside to "just be a pig". They can become quite destructive, in the house if not given lots to do and attention. They need to be trained properly or they can become agressive towards people and other animals. Dogs and pigs do not mix.
There are several books on training potbellies. Potbelly Pig Behaviour and Training, by Prisilla Valentine, Potbelly Pig Parenting, by Nancy Shepard. There are several web sites that will give you some good info. 9sites.com, PPN (Pig Placement Nework), North American Potbelly Pig Assoc.
As far as feeding goes, you should feed a specialized Potbelly pig food, like Mazuri Active, for a young one. 1/4 to 1/2 cup of pellets twice a day, (when he/she is a baby, increase to 3/4 to 1 cup twice a day as they get older) and lots of green leafy vegetables. Anything low calorie. Watch the fruit, as it is high in sugar and will put on too much weight. Are you getting this piglet from a reputable breeder? Isn't he/she giving you any info on this baby?
Please!!!!!! do your homework before you bring this little one home, to avoid heartache, down the road.

Will a fox eat a pot belly pig that weighs between 15-20 lbs.?

Probably depends on how big the fox is. And what other food is available.

A 20 pound pig would probably be a challenge for a fox, I don't imagine they'd try it unless the thing was starving. And pigs are aggressive, they eat kids and stuff. Your piggy could probably hold its own, but you'd want to avoid a fight for disease purposes.

Pigs also aren't chickens. Once chickens are roosting and asleep you can pretty much do anything you want to them. A pig isn't going to just sit there and let itself get eaten.

But then again you never know. It's always best to be safe. You could always build your pig a completely enclosed pen to stay in at night where animals wouldn't be able to get it.

I think my pot belly pig is overweight?

I have a pot belly pig that was given to me last year because our neighbors were moving and couldn't take her. Well, I have never had pigs in my life and I have no idea what I am supposed to feed her. I have cows and she is in the pasture with them and she mostly sleeps in her nest in the barn pretty much all day because she has a problem with her feet and for some reason walks on her knees and I think its because she is so fat that it hurts her to walk. Now here's what I don't understand. Most of the time I feed her hay just to munch on, which for cows is great, pigs, not so sure. But I barely feed her any grain. I feed her about a cup or slightly more only about every other day. And I feed her corn with molasses and distillers, which is basically protein because she eats when my cows eat. Now I bought her sweet mix, which are pellets that have molasses on them and bits of corn mixed in. But she keeps getting fatter! I can't figure out how! and I don't want to buy her regular pig food because that's formulated for meat pigs to make them grow and get fatter. IDK WHAT TO DO! I feel so sorry for her because I know nothing about pigs!

Ok we need help with baby pot belly pigs and baby ducks!?

How do you raise, butcher, and eat pot bellied pigs?

First of all, I don't recommend this. If you want a good meat pig I highly recommend good breeds for meat such as a Hampshire, Yorkshire, Duroc, or a Poland China are great for meat. Though it isn't the best idea, here's how:Step one: get your pig that you plan on butchering. You can buy these from other breeders or even breed one yourself.Step two: Figure out how large the pig should be. I'm not sure what you would aim for in pot bellies, but for the larger breeds (like the ones I listed above) you should aim for around 300 lbs. Step 3: Figure out feed.  Based on the rate  your pig is growing, you're gonna want to feed your hog in a way that you can reach your target weight in a certain amount of time. Again I'm no so sure what it is for potbellied pigs, but for the larger ones it is about six months of age that they should be around 300 lbs. Step four: Once your pig is the desired weight, contact your local butcher shop. You can then schedule an appointment and they will come to your farm to kill and hang the animal in the truck. He/she will then go to the shop where they will slice and process the meat. Step five: Once the meat is packaged, the burger should give you a call or notify you in some way. You would then pick up your fresh meat that is all packaged and ready to go and pay the butcher.Step six: Take your meat home and put it in the freezer to enjoy! So that's how it works. I don't exactly know the policy for your local butcher shop so I would recommend talking to the butcher before hand just to make sure they will butcher a pot belly. :)

How do I get my potbelly pig to be quiet?

I have a 6 or 7 month old potbelly pig and we have had him for about two months. There is just one problem, he wont shut up. In the morning when people are getting ready for school he squeals but there are people who work late that need to sleep. He will squeal at whichever door of the room hes sleeping in until someone gets up. Sometimes at 3 in the morning... the only way we can get him to be quiet is with food, but he whines so much he will get fat. Hes great the rest of the time. He cuddles and he plays with the other animals. My mom said that of I cant get him to be quiet, she will get rid of him.. but I love him too much to lose him. Please help.. how can I get him to be quiet?
