Ate Too Many Calories What Should I Do

Ate too many calories today, now what?

2,600 calories is a lot? I usually eat over 3,000...but normally I don't count. You won't gain any weight. Technically, a pound is worth 3,500 calories...but just because you ate "1100" calories more than normal doesn't mean that you gained .31lbs. As long as you go back to eating normal, yoou won't notice anything.

Help I ate too much calories today ! ?

you probably felt faint as you didnt have enough in you

You cant ruin a diet in a day and the extra calories probably gave your metabolism a boost and will aid in fat burning

People dont get fat from one day of overeating it takes weeks or months to do that

dont worry about, just get back on track as soon as you can

If you throw up within 30 minutes of eating, how many calories do you lose of the food you ate?

This question has already been answered by people and they are correct but there's too much information which isn't necessary so I'll just a give a simplified version. It depends on the type of vomit.Vomits can be dry or wet and the type depends on what you consume.Dry vomit does not usually expell all the food out while wet vomits expel liquids out after which you gag but nothing comes out and the suction then tear your throat and stomach lining and you vomit blood. So if your vomit consists of mostly food then approximately 5060% of your intake has been expelled while with wet vomits it's usually 80–90% of your intake.

What happens if I eat too much fat but keep total calories under control?

You’re misunderstanding some basic concepts, but this is an easy fix!Too much fat? You’re only eating too much fat if it causes you to eat more calories than planned. The other way would be if you wanted to eat a certain % of your calories from fat and your current intake exceeded that.Sounds like your doing a a low carb diet, maybe even ketogenic. Good news is that recent research has determined that getting into ketosis isn’t as awesome as we once thought. Just being on a low carb diet will still reap benefits. I saw this as keto authors suggest carbs should be limited to 20g, 50g, or 100g per day. Others demand you use keto sticks to measure ketone content in your urine. This isn’t necessary as low carb is good enough.2. 2200 calories.2200 calories lets me figure your protein and fat numbers for you. Keto diets are 70% fat and 30% protein. EVERYONE gets the impulse the up the protein and drop the fat for faster results….but it’s a mistake! Eating more protein/less fat causes your liver to convert more of the protein to glucose. It’s thought that this glucose will keep you out of ketosis. At least, that’s the theory.70% fat = 170g and 30% protein = 165gLet’s say you’re eating 4x day. 4 meals of 40g fat / 40g protein per day.P.S. I forgot to factor in the <100g of carbs. Let me know if you need help doing that.

What happens if I eat too many calories and then restrict my intake the day after?

There are some terrible answers to this. What you are talking about is a blend of intermittent fasting and overeating. In terms of weight loss and weight gain, it comes down to calories in versus calories out. Calories in being what you eat and calories out being what you spend in energy simply living, and through activity. If you ate 500 calories more than your total daily energy expenditure one day and 500 less the next you would essentially be level and would maintain weight. If you ate 1000 more calories than you burn one day and then eat 500 less than you burn the next you will have added 500 kcal to your net. This would equate to a few ounces of added weight if all other factors are controlled.Calorie restriction is not an inherently bad thing at all. Many top athletes use intermittent fasting to achieve their goals. I advise that you look up the term intermittent fasting on a quality site like bodybuilding (.com) and go from there.Ignore people saying you will “ruin” your metabolism, they are talking complete crapola!

Ate Too Much Before Bed?

I must have just consumed about 1,000 calories in... probably under and hour, about an hour before bed time.
I had an apple, carrots, much too much almond butter, some dark chocolate, unsalted 94% fat free popcorn, a piece of sprouted wheat free bread, banana, two handfuls of blueberries, a whole grain waffle with some pure maple syrup....let's see... some pumpkin seeds AND a fruit leather. .... wow. ... I had been working all day and was on my feet for about 9 hours. I came home famished at 9:45 and totally pigged out. The funny thing is, I'm full, but not painfully so. Anyhow, in total, I probably had around 2,000 calories today. I'm 5'4" and 114...well, probably not anymore. Hah!
Earlier in the day I had Greek yogurt and cottage cheese for protein along with a bunch of different vegetables. I thought I had a pretty steady diet through out the day and wasn't expecting this ridiculous binge. Not to mention it's the worst time of the day to have it.

Anyway, what should I do to keep it off? Will this go "straight to my thighs" tonight? I did pilates earlier but had no time to do cardio. I normally do 45 minutes to an hour of cardio a day plus about twenty minutes of pilates, six days a week. I just had an irregularly long work day. I can't imagine fitting in any more exercise, so I want to know how to prevent any weight gain. Should I go on a cleanse for a day or two, or will that slow down my metabolism, even if it's a short one?

It's quite frustrating because I've done so well with diet and exercize lately that I'm actually the lightest I've been in ten years and have just a liiiiitle bit of fat left on my stomach before it's considered "flat". I feel as though I've just backed up my efforts for an entire week. Goodness!

Will eating too many calories today make me gain real weight?

Hey, hopefully I can help answer that question of yours! The truth is, eating over on calories for one day is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. And to be honest, it happens to most people! So you’re definitely not alone. With regard to your specific question, “will it make me gain real weight?” the answer is yes (sort of). Let me explain…Daily fluctuations in bodyweight are completely normal! So while you’re over on calories today by about 500, that’s roughly equivalent to 0.15 pounds (because 1 pound is 3,500 calories). So, if you weigh yourself tomorrow and you’re slightly above your “normal” weight, then that will explain why. However, day-to-day fluctuations in bodyweight (are normal, like I mentioned previously) so the reality is that every single day your weight will be changing - up, down, up, up, down...I think (let me know if I’m wrong) what you’re really asking is this: “will being over on calories today make me gain noticeable weight?”And that answer is no, definitely not. However, if you continue to eat 500 calories above your daily targets for an extended period of time, you can expect to gain weight at a rate of about 1 pound per week.Hope this helps!PS. Don’t sweat one day - it’s just one day :)

I ate so many oreos this weekend?

I'm on a diet and exercise regimine. Have been since January 5th. Two days ago I ate 10 oreos. Yesterday, I ate 18 oreos! Today I ate 9 oreos. So all together I ate almost 40 oreos in three days. I know people have eaten way more than that but I'm getting my period so all I crave is junk food and I can't control how much I eat. The thing is, I only ate the COOKIE part. I took out all the filling because I don't like that part. Will eating all those oreos make me gain a few pounds even if I stop eating them for a while? I haven't had oreos in a few weeks so I guess when I had one, my body just wanted more. So will I gain any weight and how can I resist eating junk? If it helps, I'm 18 years old, 5'5, 116 pounds. I'm not trying to lose pounds, just trying to achieve a flatter stomach and tone and I'm hoping these oreos didn't ruin my progress.
